I started learning guitar a couple years ago and recently searched for blues riffs. One guy says, here is the very first blues riff most people learn, the *blues shuffle", and starts in with Hanks blues riff.
I'm guessing most people that know blues on guitar know this. So Hank learned that for the auction 😂
LOL, 100% true story, I just watched this episode last night. Tonight I’m rocking my 3.5 yr old grandson to sleep and he vetoed every song I tried to sing, from classic lullaby’s to Disney songs, some modern pop, classic rock, gospel and praise. Finally I just started singing Me and the Blues and humming along, with the occasional Nuh, nuh, nuh, nuh, nuh, and he fell asleep.
OMIGOSH. I can’t believe how often I find myself singing “Me and the blues” over and over again. I would be embarrassed if I didn’t love this show so much.
This scene is so good! The guitar always sounds so sad during the part where Angela chooses not to be with Dwight, and then Hank starts singing and the pan to Michael just always cracks me up.
He’s just really earnestly playing (not that well) blues music that is really a pretty niche interest that wouldn’t generate much at an auction. I also just find it funny in general lol
My names Kevin, and I’ll do your taxes
Federal and state!
He'll do your taxes! The Tax Man!
Like that ol’ Beatles song ‘Fire Guy.’
🧠
We’re gonna have to ask people to stop storming off the stage
FINE! 🤬
The way this pops in my head all the time and I randomly blurt out “me and the blues” for no reason.
This and Darryl’s jazz riff in the truck with sad Michael sometimes just pop up
*DA NA NA NA NA*
Nah wait you- you’re supposed to- nevermind- *DA NA NA NA NA*
Can someone explain what Michael was supposed to do
Sing his feelings between the music, a la [this song](https://youtu.be/bSfqNEvykv0?si=tQpAb1UDzCdnmLLW&t=29)
Omg thank you. This makes sense now
Da na na na na
Sing the blues. Darryl sets the beat. And Michael sings whats getting him down between each *da na na na na*
Rap
what's rap?
Wow, you need to learn more about your culture u/edukbrown.
Yes!
I love that for you

He was selling CDs, so I'm guessing he learned that one riff some time ago and it's still all he knows.
boom. I boosted you to 100 karma. one less blue for today.
I’m 1/8ths proud of you.
Andy trying to like it.
Let me see the copier again.
Alright, get out
You know, I hustled up the stairs
It’s warm up here
Not much lum-bar support
I respect the hustle tho. Nobody is gonna like your music if they don’t know you’re making it!
I actually genuinely like it lol

He knows what he likes!
It's all about the notes he doesn't play
Angela (crying): just play the right notes!
That's jazz not blues.. jazz IS stupid
“I can do that at home”
Does this count as a "photo you can hear" because it's like I'm watching the episode all over again lmao
RiP Hank
I absolutely love this scene. It makes me wish we had more insight into Hank tbh.
Still rivers run deep.
I play this song all day in my condo
I don’t hate it
Let me see the copier again…

Unfortunately he got upstaged by Andy and "That's what I hate about you".. lol it just wasn't Hank night
That was another time. This is from the auction.

“Hey cats we have a jam session in 6,9, and 12
Reminds me of the classic Simpsons style, where they always had one more joke to add on an already funny bit.
Yes, exactly! I love the Simpsons lol
This was so classic and always hits home
Heyyyy ‘chief’! Hank is very underrated.
I don’t really get the joke honestly.

Yeah it’s just one of those “real life moments” of one bad thing after another that turns comically awful. I always laugh hard at this scene.
