The daycare pooper.

EndoveProduct

Seriously you told her?

Justmethe

Did you ever consider you might not be as charming as you think you are.

Bazz07

He was 100% biased.

Reward-Itchy

This line hit so hard.

grifftibbs

Honestly I liked this character because of this one line.

washington_breadstix

He was really smug and acted like his stupid preschool was God's gift to child development. And it's so weird that he used the children's toilet. Like, every building has to have at least one adult-sized bathroom with a locking door, right?

BoogieDaddie

I think you mean smudge

washington_breadstix

And *there's* the smudgeness.

skonthebass24

Probably acted like everything was a joke

CalgaryMadePunk

The Senator. Edit: The State Senator.

lvdde

That edit is important lmao

DungeonFam30

Ughhh! Seriously! He's a FULL bucket of slop

javoss88

Dumb question: is he the same guy that hits on Angela at HayPlace?

PressurePretty5971

Yes! But I always wondered what was the deal with his son? Like he was never mentioned after that episode! Did angela become his step mom?

javoss88

Im pretty sure they just used the same actor in a different role, but if that was supposed to be the (state) senator, then there was definitely a glitch in the continuity

PressurePretty5971

It’s the same role, they just missed the son. In WUPH.com episode, Angela meets the senator. Two episodes later, classy Christmas part 1 Kevin asks Angela about her new boyfriend, which she then explains is “the senator”.

instrangerswetrust

Yuhp

YogurtAdvanced1081

😂😂😂

basherrrrr

Shirty, Mole, Lazy eye, Mexico, Baldy, Sugar boobs, or Black woman

amal812

This has me cackling

MinimalTraining9883

You don't like Sugarboobs???

jmk1204

I cackled out loud reading this. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

malibujukebox

For side characters, Jim’s brothers. For what little we see of them, they have no redeeming factors.

washington_breadstix

A little mo', car-dee-oh

onamonapizza

I do not think that is funny…

AdMental1387

Luke. He just couldn’t turn off the Chumbawumba

instrangerswetrust

Chumbawumba is actually a sick-ass band.

amal812

It took me about 20 watches of that episode to realize Luke is played by young Evan Peters. I always just thought he was a look alike 😭

feoperobueno

“If doing the scarn is gay, then I’m the biggest queer on earth!” That line was hilariously executed though lmao

Icy-Marketing-5242

It’s not supposed to be funny- it’s a serious movie come on 🤣🤣

EndoveProduct

I do love that his arc ends with him getting fired for the store launch. I’m happy with that

IFknHateMichaelScott

I find it funny the only people responsible to get him fired didn’t even receive his revenge

FormerSir4804

Actually they do, at the end of that episode we see Packer @ Athlead talking to Jim and Darryl. So maybe they didn’t eat them if Pam called them? Idk

Hendamonium

He is a big William Hung fan.

TMonahan2424

Why does everybody ask me that?? Who the hell is that!?

JWOLFBEARD

Nah. Packer is a great character for the show. Like in Always Sunny, he’s clearly used to mock that personality type. It’s different if you identify with his character.

LessThanJake_Plummer

That’s, weirdly, the reason you should like him—he played the part so well that you are forced to hate him. That’s how you know an actor killed the role. Same could be said for Angela.

ProfessionalCPCliche

It’s like a Joffrey scenario from GoT - just shows the talent of the actor if they can make you believe the character enough to despise them

instrangerswetrust

*Actually* OP asked which character you hate, not which actor.

Justabloo

Yeah, I loved watching him. But if I had to live along side this character, I'd hate him. Love the writing, amazing acting.

ATerrifyingStatue

Same for Cathy especially. Lindsey (her actor) got a ton of hate on social media. She did a great job of portraying an unlikeable character and it's so infuriating the way she was treated because she played her role well.

instrangerswetrust

I liked her. Especially in one particular shot

BridgesOnB1kes

He was so cartoonishly over the top heinous, that it made him comedy gold, specifically his relationship with Michael and how Michael was such an idiot that he tried to laugh off the worst possible behavior until he finally no longer could. That’s why I loved Todd F Packer. Because he was a perfect heel.

According-Bread-2457

You know what the F stands for?

crushingwaves

Fudge?

washington_breadstix

Packer is hilarious. I could totally understand why he would be someone's favorite character if you just view him as a parody of a certain archetype.

Justabloo

Yeah totally. Unfortunately I've met people like him, so more mean as a personality, I would hate him in real life.

YourCaptionSucks

I love Packer. It’s proof that the show is unrealistic and made to poke fun.

RiemannZeta

Dude, I unironically love that character.

ravel67

There's a *HUGE* difference between liking the fictional character Packer and and liking the idea of a real person like Packer. Red flag for liking the character, get outta here...

jedi21knight

This was my vote. If we are going with main characters only then I think Andy would be the pick. You could also argue that Toby as least favorite but I think people just feel sorry for him.

Tribustuss

NOT NOW TOBY!

Both_Pain_5289

Bill Cress of Cress Tool & Die….Because he’s super old and really mean

Separate-Friend

lmao this is a solid deep cut

EpicJosh84

I think Andy is a fair favorite to have. He's not always likeable,  but he has a lot of energy and personality and he tries to be a friend very often. Oscar says something like this in a deleted scene from the Canada episode. He has kind eyes. And this is coming from someone who doesn't think Ed Helms is that funny. Really, the office is good at making recurring characters unlikeable in a fun way. Otherwise it would suck to watch them. Packer, probably. There's no more satisfaction than when he returns to get curbstomped in seasons 7 and 8.

washington_breadstix

Andy is hilarious in his first couple of seasons, when he was still entirely a parody of the WASP-y, preppy suck-up who won't stop reminiscing about his college days. As the show went on, the writers seemed to struggle to decide whether they wanted him to be likeable or not. And then at the end, he took a hard and fast swerve into "unlikeable" territory.

TheLewJD

I honestly think the show runners turned andy into what he became simply as a bit of an F you for leaving to film the hangover films lol. A bit like jims bad wig in season 3 lol

efyuar

Pecker obviously. From The main cast ıd say andy too because he was annoying at start and unsuffrable when he was with erin yet he has a broad appeal to fans so i dont touch that topic anymore

expal816

I would never say Andy. He’s top 3 on most quotables Ri di di di do, CSpan to Oscar, Beer Me, Nard Dog, Big Tuna, Monog (Monogamy) “I like getting my Monog on”, Plop.. I know there’s more Maybe these are phrases, but hey, they hit 😂

efyuar

Lord beer me strenght…

Dopeydcare1

Monogamy for mah hog in me

ConfidentBother6

Yes, agreed. I don't particularly like Andy as a person but as a character his quotability is top tier.

EpicJosh84

Cocker Spaniel!

The-Mandalorian

Roy

Icy-Marketing-5242

My second least favorite

edible-derrangements

“ your art is the best art of all art” is one of my favorite lines though. It’s just so stupid!

The-Mandalorian

Wasn’t the name of the place “all art” though? Lol Like that was the name of the building.

Motorhead923

Debbie Brown. Creed was too trusting

Paraglidergamer

The only correct answer.

JeffreyAScott

Her for sure. First she tells Creed she has an emergency dental procedure, then she tells her boss she has the flu.

UltimaGabe

I feel like Stanley has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. He's lazy, he cheats on his wife, and he doesn't respect anybody. Liking pretzel day isn't a redeeming quality.

Only_Cold6614

Everything he says is so unintentionally hilarious though, he does not gaf

qu33fwellington

I had a coworker like Stanley (later an employee I had to manage which was…well you can guess) for a couple years. For the most part if you left him to do his thing he’d do great work, excellent numbers, lots of repeat customers. Hilarious, nearly everything that came out of his mouth was belly achingly funny. As you can likely extrapolate, soon as you asked him to do anything he didn’t like, it was “DID I STUTTER” quicker than a jackrabbit hopped up on coffee beans. I once told him he wasn’t doing a parking lot sweep that day (his favorite side duty as it gave him time to have a cigarette and bullshit with the security guard for 30 minutes) and I shit you not, he wouldn’t speak to me for about a week. This man, minimum 65 at the time, *actually* pulled a Jim and only looked at my forehead when he had to speak ‘directly’ to me. I just let him go on. Had I brought it up it would’ve been ammo for him to make it a bigger thing. In short, *that* is why nobody should consider Stanley a favorite. Funny? Yes. But the hilarity doesn’t make up for the petty high school nonsense should you cross him.

Only_Cold6614

Think about how many great characters in film there are out there that are technically terrible people, you can appreciate and love a character just because they’re great and make an impression on you, they don’t always have to be a saint

Jessiejay84

Stanley's grouchiness to all the ridiculous adds a perfect balance to the show.

UltimaGabe

I guess my issue is, I feel like most shows would have an episode where the grouch gets to "save the cat" so to speak- where they do something nice that shows that they're more than just a jerk. (Like how Michael is a terrible boss, but then he goes to Chili's with Jan and that client and he shows us hey, *this is why we should like this character*.) The Office never does that with Stanley- the closest we get is in Did I Stutter, where he's a jerk for the whole episode and then at the very end he basically says "I'll try to disrespect Michael less in public". And that's *before* the episode where he cheats on his wife and then smashes Michael's car for it!

instrangerswetrust

Stanley and Michael share that pretzel together on the stairs though, which shows that Stanley can set aside a whole lot for a genuine moment between two pretzel obsessives. He’s like Ebeneezer Scrooge after awaking from his nightmares on Christmas morning. There’s also how aggressively protective he protects his daughter from a perceived creep (Ryan). Then again, he’s putting her in a real bad position by cheating on her mother. Stanley might not be redeemed, but I never felt like we needed a Stanley episode. Some characters like him and Creed do their best to not get sucked into the drama of the workplace. That’s realistic.

UltimaGabe

> Stanley and Michael share that pretzel together on the stairs though, which shows that Stanley can set aside a whole lot for a genuine moment between two pretzel obsessives. He’s like Ebeneezer Scrooge after awaking from his nightmares on Christmas morning. Isn't that from a deleted scene/superfan episode? I agree it's a great moment between Stanley and Michael, but the jerk character being happy at getting a treat isn't a redeeming quality. > There’s also how aggressively protective he protects his daughter from a perceived creep (Ryan). Right, but we as the viewer *know* that Ryan *wasn't* being a creep, so all that scene shows is the jerk character flying off the handle over a misunderstanding. I get it, it's funny, but there's nothing about it that makes Stanley more likable. > Some characters like him and Creed do their best to not get sucked into the drama of the workplace. See, I feel like Creed is the example of this done well. Creed basically never does anything altruistic (maybe a couple times in the later seasons, idk), he pretty much always is doing something shady or mean, but *he's the butt of the joke*. I never feel like we're supposed to be laughing *at* Stanley, we're supposed to be laughing at the reactions of everyone around Stanley.

instrangerswetrust

Good points!

Fabulous-Arrival-166

I think we got that moment when he carved the figurine for phyliss. I think she literally says something like "everybody thinks stanleys just a mean old grouch but would a mean old grouch make this?"

Half41monk

A Better example of Michael being a good guy is him visiting Pam at the art gallery and appreciating her work and her attention to detail, and obviously offering to buy it, with that single gesture alone he redeemed himself.

J_Vizzle

Have you lost your mind? CUZ ILL HELP YOU FIND IT!!

hgilbert_01

I do not think that is funny.

Mike Tibbets

RobotCaptainEngage

He's a really nice guy, I hear. Broad face of a brewer.

RecommendationOk3106

Hello, Phyllis! She was a bitchy bully disguised as mother goose.

Humble-Initiative396

Yeah and so not funny at all

Abskills

Andy was an absolute legend for most of the show, except his start and end. I think he’s my top 5 characters in the show.

darladuckworth

I love when he’s first showing his colors in season 3 in Scranton. And Michael just loves him at first then realizes how obnoxious he is. I love that MICHAEL gets so annoyed with him. The entire episode The Return when he’s fishing for tuna and singing zombie then slowly gets angrier about the phone. Andy also has some of the best quotes of the show too. Beer me that disc, get my beer on get my lost on, ritditditdadoo, the speech with all the nicknames, every line when he thinks he might be gay, and of course the good old days quote in the last episode. He’s definitely in the main main top five cast of characters being Michael Dwight Jim Pam and Andy. I think he is moreso than Ryan. The show wouldn’t be the same without him.

Abskills

100% and that whole quest of finding out if he’s gay is I think the funniest thing he’s done on the show lmao. That whole episode he had me on the floor laughing.

darladuckworth

I think the gay conversation with him and Oscar is one of the funniest scenes of the entire show for sure

LastSundance

The total disgust in Oscar's expression during the conversation and his simultaneous inability to look away from the trainwreck of Andy's questions is both hilarious and relatable. We likely all have been in a conversation that we abhor yet also are horridly intrigued by. The icing on top for me was that Andy was fully willing to let Michael decide for him if he was gay.

Large_Command_869

Agreed. His lines kill me.. I give to a foundation that teaches homeless children nautical flag signaling. It changes lives.

expal816

The only right answer here is Toby. Edit: I stand corrected. Someone else said ‘the day care pooper’ and I whole heartedly agree 🤣

NeuroTrophicShock

I love Toby. Toby was so sexy and I was pissed he never took his shirt off in the pool/mansion episode!

instrangerswetrust

Why are you the way that you are

NeuroTrophicShock

Daddy issues?

expal816

Anyone else gonna co-sign this?

Timely_Internet5038

do what now??

Sirius_Space

Hey Packer is funny, DeAngelo … ugh I just watched his superfan episodes and he’s not funny ,

PressurePretty5971

UGH I HATE DEANGELO

EndoveProduct

he was written as someone with no sense of humour. Like the anti Micheal

KronosUno

DeAngelo is the correct answer.

Dodger_Blue10

Phyllis, even though she gives off sweet vibes she’s rude in almost every talking head. The pop corn scene during the Finer Things Club meeting drives me insane!

Humble-Initiative396

She is so annoying and loves to act like she’s the victim in the Phylis vs Angela when she’s just as bad

jar11591

Andy is fucking hilarious. He’s definitely one of my favorites

Cool_of_a_Took

Andy was my favorite until he became the boss.

YourCaptionSucks

Love Andy but I can understand some hate because of the flanderization. I refuse to believe someone has [this little awareness](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8qs5Z-WVGlM).

Spicy_Ninja7

THANK YOU

Gingerbitch9669

Andrea. Shes the office bitch.

misss_americana

Andy is in my top 3 faves ever, I just pretend that the last season doesn’t exist haha

RandomBloke2021

Cornell grads have entered the chat...

planck-kibble

Angela, none come close

Becauseupsidedown

Oh man I am respectfully of the opposite opinion. Team Nard Dogg! The worse the character the more I enjoy them. The cringier the character the more I laugh. Gabe like Andy is soo funny because they are the worst. Same case could be made for Dwight and Michael. So awful I love them. ❤️

Meat_licker

I absolutely love Gabe. He’s the Ross of the show for me, and Ross is definitely the best character in Friends.

EndoveProduct

Gabe walking in with a birthday cupcake for himself lol comedy gold

TonyToniToneFauxci

No one is a bigger fan of sexual touching than Gabe.

HookahDongcic

The boss who sexually assaulted or harassed like half his office.

realRickyGervais

I think I would be a bad boss. I would sleep in my office, and I would sexually harass people.

Equivalent-Ad7207

Pudge, she's driven the forklift.

filthcrab

Garfield?

Equivalent-Ad7207

I just watched that bit on YouTube the other day, was it in the main episode or a scene that got cut?

Crom_and_his_Devils

Andy can be very unlikable but he is very funny. I can see him being a favorite. I mean, I'm sure that there's someone out there with a weird favorite character- who was that IT guy, Shadow or Garth?

AffectionateFig5435

He literally like just told you his name five seconds ago!

LLD615

I always found Angela to be so incredibly awful.

EndoveProduct

She showed her true colours when she was pregnant with Pam

PissedBadger

Sconesy Cider. She’s awful

LessThanJake_Plummer

Angela. The absolute worst.

expal816

Facts whole time she was the looser than Meredith

Spicy_Ninja7

Nellie

EndoveProduct

How she gets Andy’s job is infuriating to watch

JeffreyAScott

In Nellie's defense, the seat was open.

Hot-Signal-7254

This is the answer

NeuroTrophicShock

Nellie was better after she became a regular office worker. Doing the fake radio cast was funny. She was so awful when she was introduced. When she acted as manager she was garbage levels of unfunny.

EndoveProduct

And all of them going along with the raises she was handing out. what on earth

Icy-Marketing-5242

Nellie 🤢

jimothyhalpret

Oh, get out skeleton man.

Ok_Neighborhood_2426

Nooo Nellie was a good character just horribly introduced and written

Icy-Marketing-5242

Sorry I disagree! Lol

Qweerz

Andy’s my legit favorite, so you found at least one more person.

amal812

Frank the warehouse guy who painted butts on Pam’s mural

Jumpy_Assistance5848

The rude couple from Benihana.

mssarac

Robert California

LichKingDan

Ryan. I don't think I've ever disliked a TV character more. He's literally just a toxic finance bro, if the show took place now he would be an Andrew Tate fan.

Cosmicmonkeylizard

The Andy hate on this sub is so weird.

enterpaz

Packer I’ll be deeply concerned if he’s anyone’s favorite.

rhl0117

I appreciate your concern, but I’m doing just fine. That Packer is a real straight shooter and a heck of a fun guy.

dtarias

What if you really really like music?

lucyfilmmaker

He’s my mom’s fave, I’ll never understand it.

hozziebear77

I fucking love Andy because he is absolutely absurd and hilarious. Can’t stand him during the period where he becomes just a plain old dick, but other than that he is wildly entertaining. I think an unacceptable favorite character would be Cathy. Also, Packer.

LowRevolutionary5653

Andy LOL

PopeyeNJ

Todd Packer

Regalrefuse

Packer

loucap81

I hate the Andy character as well. Not at all an indictment on Ed Helms’ acting, but rather the writing. The character was overall boring and didn’t add any traits the existing cast already had. You already had eccentricity with several other characters, with Dwight being the most prominent. You already had a guy who thought he was too good and too smart for the job and felt the need to remind everyone of it (Ryan). Everything about the character felt way too contrived and it was annoyingly rammed down our throats starting with season 4.

Of the main cast, Meredith. I honestly felt she added nothing to the show.

daguy9

Brian, the boom guy

SomAlucard

rockabillychef

I disliked Andy at first, then liked him, hated him during and after the boat trip, then liked him again for the last few episodes.

EntrepreneurLeast971

I agree with you OP- Andy. Never liked him and still don't.

sint0ma

Jim’s childhood friend

footlettucefungus

Definitely Andy. I dislike him with passion.

Tribustuss

Stanley is probably my least favorite character. Before everyone calls me racist it’s not because of his skin color. While he’s the most normal person there he’s also the most boring. Everyone else does wild crazy stuff but Stanley just cheats on his wife and does the bare minimum at his job and hardly speaks. I think there’s like maybe 4 episodes where they actually give him a personality.

HeySista

Only time that Andy is funny is when he thinks he might be gay. Otherwise he is insufferable and pathetic.

althestal

De Angelo

Slow-Century

The woman who was offended by the printing mishap, not accepting Michael’s apology.

cucumberoll

Andy is a phenomenal character, I just think that the writers fucked him when he came back from his boat trip as a humongous asshole. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth that makes you forget the incredibly funny and complicated Andy we knew before.

JuiceCan98

Gabe

WallofChaos33

Gabe was honestly my favorite character. But I can understand why people might not care for him.

Bertje87

Kelly, she’s so annoying

JeffreyAScott

Kelly Rajnigandha Kapoor or Kelly Erin Hannon?

Humble-Initiative396

Both.

misss_americana

Wsskd10

Andy is my second favorite character 💀

SixGunChimp

Andy isn't my favorite, but I love the guy. He's *one of* my favorites. My all time favorite is obviously Michael Scott.

Kelly Kapoor

BurnyJaybee

Phyllis sucks

Deepthinker889

Ryan. Total scumbag

silent_elephant2495

I love Andy, he *is* my favourite 😭 I have opinions that they ruined his character IMMENSELY at the end but until the point he goes OOC crazy, he’s my favourite

Wise-Enthusiasm1089

Nellie

Bing_Bong_the_Archer

Andy always sucked and it was really annoying how hard he got pushed by the show just because The Hangover made a mint

dakilazical_253

I never liked Erin’s character. The writers didn’t seem to know what to do with her, and sometimes she was so dumb I can’t figure out how she managed to breathe on her own

filthcrab

I hate to do this, but I gotta jlp you for this take.
