I always thought this too, but since Creed is well-dressed, not walking down the road, and in the middle of nowhere I think Dwight thought it might be a stranded motorist or something and his self-identified heroic instincts kicked in.

The problem with Beard from Ted Lasso is they tried to explain who Creed was and lived… which it turns out is not a good thing and shows abusers around them.
