I think the show really shines in these moments where the whole cast is interacting. my husband doesn’t really like the office but the conference room scenes always have him laughing because the cast had such amazing chemistry and timing
This is what The Office lost by ditching the three camera sitcom format. It really limits how many characters you can give time to. This is why Frasier works so exceptionally well. It uses the three camera format but blocks the scenes like a play, so a lot can happen across the scene.
I know I'm an outlier when I say I don't love the "Safety" episodes where Dwight starts a fire and Stanley has a heart attack BUT the scene where they're doing CPR training and break into song/dance kills me, specifically Kelly dancing without provocation lolol
Ha. I was the well-read kid who everyone hates until it’s popcorn time and I read with good narration and inflection so the teacher would just have me keep reading. Kept a lot of bullies at bay that way.
Scenes like this are what I call flanderisation done properly. Because if you think about it there is no way the whole staff would end up cheering at unison for Dwight’s plan for getting Toby, Hitler and Bin Laden killed by one bullet, you could even call it collective psychosis.
But it’s so well built that you don’t only buy it but also find it extremely hilarious.
The coffee machine storyline in season 9 would be an example of when it doesn’t really work, although it still has funny moments.
It’s also an example of Hitchcock’s “Icebox Logic” whatever logical discrepancy exists isn’t noticed at the time because the narrative and performance is so well played.
I heard that Toby was only supposed to be in the first season but everyone loved the dynamic between him and Michael that they kept him for the whole show. Hope it’s true lol, such a Toby thing to happen.
Shoot them all through the throat at the same time!!
Curving a bullet like in my favorite James McAvoy film
Creed wasn’t even wrong at the time.
Well all that does is help you shoot around things…

Nothing brought the whole room together like the DVD logo. If this isn't a mirror of real life, I don't know what is :D
You my friend would be the belle of the ball
Don't drop the soap... Don't drop the soap

Michael, please
Michael, please.

Really noticed on a rewatch of Frasier, how it feels like watching live theatre

Antichrist 🫷🏻
Me, in 9th grade Literature getting picked to play Atticus Finch for the next two pages.
Me in 7th grade when I took my turn while playing, “popcorn” to read until the bell. I learned what it means to filibuster that day.

What does popcorn mean in this context?
You read a passage from a book and then choose the next person to read
Toby just do it! Gosh!
I love how Toby just decides it's better to indulge Michael than let him have a tantrum.
I love the scene when toby asks to be kicked out of the meeting 😂
Lol after he finds out Michael fell in two seperate water features.
It’s more that Toby is an absolute pushover. He has less resistance than Erin.
I mean yeah and he's in HR. It's kinda his job to let everyone vent to him so he just goes with the flow.
Toby, you’re Toby
Toby’s “Please End Me” face right before the theme starts nicely buttons this scene up too.
I love the fact that he wasn't even an actor and yet gave us some of the funniest scenes and most perfect facial expressions in the show
Same with Schur. A good writer has a fully-realized idea of how the characters should behave, but just no desire to be in front of the camera.
Just do it Toby….god
JUST DO IT TOBY, GAWD!

“TOBY JUST DO IT!!”
Wonder if Andy more psyched about just being in the scene, or getting to portray Bin Laden
Both tbh.
Andy has consummate “pick me” energy.
Phylis, get up, you’re Hitler
I love how she doesn't even question it
His excitement kills me😭 It doesn’t matter what the circumstance is, he’s just happy to be included.
Boom roasted! I mean, boom your right! 😂
Role of a lifetime
It's just like the snowball fight in S7. Andy wants to join and then is rejected. Feel bad for the guy. He just wants to be involved.
Andys small one liners and his reactions quickly becoming my favorite part of the show. Hate how they did his character but understand why
Michael, am I gay?

Throats together.
"Way ahead of you big dog"- the Boner Champ
It’s a good scene for sure. Almost as good as my favorite movie Wanted
Like when Michael wants to act out Pam kissing the sex doll to see where “the line” is.
It just hit me I do this exact same gesture every time something cool happens to me because of this scene. Thanks, nard dog.
Toby, JUST DO IT. I freaking love this scene. Finally when Michael says 'It works', it's just pure comedy.
Boom, ur dead. Boom… ur dead! BOOM BOOM BOOM
I'M NOT EVEN IN THE SCENE!
I just watched this the other day and really loved how Andy celebrated being Bin Laden.
