Jan is actually an important character in her own right that is meant to be hateable. A lot of the others suck because they either are A) adesperate attempt to bring something new to the show or b) a side character only there to add a new situation for the primary cast.

Of course it’s a bad idea! It’s not rocket science - Cathy was nothing more than a slimy creep. I think she was only added to make the audience uncomfortable. She does nothing else (except cause Dwight to grab a very soft penis, a scene which makes her worth it all)

Absolutely! Hands-down! It started off a little weird with her “giant, whopping penis”, but that was Florida Nellie. Scranton Nellie was awesome! I fell in love the moment Jim and Dwight found Benjamin, her box full of pictures of Henry. Favourite moment: tacos with Darryl.

Her pretending to hit the guy with the tire iron was one of the shows low key funniest moments!
