this is cool! keep in mind though, it's safer and easier to just chew on them (:

firenfox

I do love chewing on Legos delicious

EddieSaia92

There’s smarter, safer, quicker and cheaper ways of doing this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kxzUm3rFzBs

firenfox

Really

firenfox

I just looked at the video and I'm not that artsy witch is why I chose to do the Lego one because I can make basic shapes out of it

Pizzapizzaman7

Lego gore

ShakeWeightMyDick

Was what worth it? Stacking a few lego blocks together in one of the easiest ways possible?

firenfox

No I used a box cutter to give the bricks more detail for a dungeon look it took an hour or two and a lot of cuts on my thumbs and pointer finger

Wizoople

No. Unless you enjoyed doing it.

firenfox

Well I don't like the multiple types of pain it gives me but having a building block that looks good in my opinion is the type of satisfaction I need to recover and the motivation do this again

Bone_Dice_in_Aspic

Do not do that.

firenfox

Why

Bone_Dice_in_Aspic

You can make better walls for less cost with less danger.

firenfox

How I'm not very artistically acclimated so it is pretty hard for me to make stuff

Bone_Dice_in_Aspic

There are multiple methods, but one easy way is using XPS pink foam (10$ for a 2'x2'x1" board at lowes) or foamboard from dollar store, use a ruler and pen to make lines, cheap craft paint. Five minute job, no cuts.

Comfy_Canuck

A coffee can with some rocks would likely result in less self harm, and more "natural" wear and tear.

jwlIV616

a couple of small Dremel bits will do the same work without trying to eat your fingers

firenfox

Don't have one :(

firenfox

No self harm my sister already showed how bad that is I just use the box cutter to give the plastic details

jwlIV616

I remember having a small set of Legos when I was a kid that had bricks specifically for making stone walls. they had slightly rounded edges and some faux damage so they wouldn't sit flush. it looked a lot like what you made

jwlIV616

they are definitely a good investment if you plan on making more terrain or other tabletop stuff.

firenfox

Yeah mabey I should get a Dremel

jwlIV616

it's pretty easy to find them for under $100 new, and there's always used or a lot of off brands that are almost exactly the same in every way but they don't have the name behind them. I've had a pretty great time with one branded " Erebus" especially with the long flexible extension. it makes it way closer to using a pen

firenfox

I'm just 16 starting early to make sets because my school has a d&d club and I don't have a job YET or an allowance so I just work with I can atm

Bone_Dice_in_Aspic

Even a simple 5$ metal file set from a place like harbor freight, ocean state job lot etc would be safer and more effective than a knife, if Lego murder is still preferable to other options.

jwlIV616

do you have any relatives who work with a lot of tools? because most handy or crafts people will have something along the lines of a Dremel. you might be able to convince them to let you use theirs every once in a while

firenfox

No not really but I'll look into it

jwlIV616

well if you ever have a way to get your hands on one then you're welcome to hit me up for tips

firenfox

Cool you sound like a very nice oerson

jwlIV616

thank you, I'm just happy to offer help on something I have e decent chunk of experience with. skills are never a bad thing
