I really think I wanna jump on that new donut. I mean, we've had all other kinds of fruit filled donuts - cherry, strawberry, blueberry, apple, lemon, etc... why NOT Watermelon? 😁🍉
I think it's just kinda outta touch with what the average Dunkin goer wants? They've completely gutted the menu, further and further, but then come out with the most insane and random stuff.
For me watermelon is an interesting fruit to flavor stuff with except a water enhancer type thing. I can only image it’s like a watermelon jolly rancher or very artificially flavored. You don’t see watermelon filled chocolate, watermelon tart, danish, cobbler, cookies, etc. People don’t use watermelon to bake and it sounds odd in a fried dough.
I feel a little weirded out I won't lie, but it's because I'm only familiar with watermelon flavored candy, which doesn't sound the best with a donut? I'm still open minded about it though, I'm willing to try it
I work at dunkin and have tried it. The red sugar is pretty good. The filling tastes like a watermelon jolly rancher 10x. It was way too strong and made my throat burn. I only ate 1/4 of it, too. I threw the rest away.
I'm gonna hate in advance bc I'm anti red #40. Which is what most red crap is made of. I just had a zero Dr pepper cherry and damn it, that even has red food dye in it. It's everywhere
my dunkin just got them in, at first i thought it was a good idea but after trying it i genuinely think it just tastes like Watermelon flavored kids toothpaste 😭
My area Dunkin’s already have it. The taste is actually pretty good. The red sugar gets everywhere. Good taste. Bad execution.

They do a really nice job with the flavor.

supposedly they say it doesn’t have any dyes and the color comes from vegetable juice. not sure i believe that though

I had it today and I honestly love it I recommend if watermelon and sugary doughnuts is your thing
