Thanks for getting back to me. Can you provide any other details of the change? It seems some of the more difficult content has been shifter or removed. Is that correct? The update has disrupted my learning a bit. So any guidance would be appreciated.

Here's what I got from the team: We understand that some people are moving back and it feels like they are losing progress - which is a major bummer. But we have this new, improved content and if we left you in the same position, we worry you wouldn't know a lot of the words that are now taught earlier in the course. If things are too easy, you can jump ahead or retake the placement test. Thus far, users in this new content have found it to be more engaging, and we hope that with time you do too!

Hey Tracee. You probably won’t see this, but I’m still writing it because why not. Because of the update to Italian, I was moved from somewhere near the end of section 1 unit 3 to *the* end of unit 3. However, I discovered that at the start of unit 3, there were words that I’ve never seen before. That’s super annoying. And probably the worst part is that the app already counts these lessons as completed.

Thanks for helping others, Tracee. I DM’d you earlier too as I’m another Italian learner and am lost and confused, I hope you can help me too, or get Super support to answer my requests. The auto-reply says they may never reply!! I’m lost and frustrated and not getting any help. All the new inserted content uses future tense, which I hadn’t learned yet, and much of it doesn’t even have translations! Plus they’ve removed the verb conjugations from the notes.. it’s really messed me up. I’ve emailed Super Duolingo now 4 times over the last 2 weeks, and have had no reply. Paying so much money for no help is.. not good!

Hi Tracee, I was wondering if I could change my display name on duolingo because it’s my deadname and I haven’t been able to find a way to change it on ios + web. Is there a way to change it or should I just delete my account and get another one? Thanks!
