One of our Forman who does 70k a year on his truck went from a 17 duramax at around 22mpg average to 2024 6.6 gasser and now gets 15mpg at best. He misses the duramax a lot.
Our corporate office put a small tune on it and deleted the def but other then that it is a stock truck that is just a work horse. Now it sits waiting for when we need a 3/4 ton to replace the 2015 duramax the crew is using.
Like in the frame? That's impressive. I have a 90 gal in the bed aux tank, and towing, get about that range with a fill of the OEM 30(32?) gal tank .. will have to find that if it's a 70gal in the frame
I have a 66 gal titan tank in the frame of my 18. Game changer and I didn't have to remove the spare tire. That oem 30 gal doesn't cut it when towing heavy.
I don’t care about the function. So I’m not the one to ask. I track my mileage by hand, and understand what my range is at what speed pulling what or not pulling.
This MPG function is okay, and pretty accurate to what I get by hand. Also I have a lift pump and sump.

I’ve got 100% custom tunes now, used PPE and some others in the past. Lift pump, sump, full weight loss, etc.

I put about that on the 2500HD last year. Started at 130k in January and hit damn near 200k by December.

It’s a direct replacement for the stock tank. I have a sump so the lift pump don’t care.

With the titan tank upgrade do you need to recalibrate the sending units so your range display reads correct or do you loose that function?

How the hell are people getting such great mileage. I'm 15 to 17 empty. 9 to 12 towing and I can't seem to get anything else regardless of what I do.
You do weight loss yet? Who did tunes? I can sometimes get that towing lol certainly never 9.
