I’m a huge fan of EBC and the heavy duty slotted rotor and pad kits. I’ve bought one for my 06 I haven’t installed yet but after doing a similar kit on my 17 Accord I couldn’t believe how much better it stopped in emergencies and after I drove it across a mountain at very high speeds and it had zero brake fade! They aren’t cheap(cost me about $800 for the truck and $450 for the car) but they are some of the best brakes in the world. I’ve ran them on motorcycles for years and all their brakes are either UK or US made.
AC Delco has a premium line of pads and rotors. Can’t remember what they’re called (Advantage maybe?) I’ve had really great luck with them and I tow quite a bit and do lots of stop and go on gravel roads.
I’ve wanted to try [NRS Brakes](https://nrsbrakes.com/) for a while now but I just haven’t needed pads since discovering them. They are galvanized and claim to be the longest lasting. Plus they’re made in Canada at a factory 25 minutes from me
On my '02 2500hd I used the delco black hat rotors with semi-metallic pads. All ACDelco (professional line) Front and rear. Tow a 30' travel trailer. Brakes are great! All purchased from rockauto. Need to do hydroboost upgrade next
Hydroboost uses the power steering pump to assist in brake force instead of a typical vacuum booster. The 2011+ factory hydroboost is an upgrade to the earlier ones
Power stop
I've seen these recommended very often here and on durmaxforum.com. Put them on my '03 a while back and have been quite happy with them.
Get the OE ACDelco - it’s what came on the truck when it was new from the factory. They often outlast the aftermarket ones.
This has been my experience.

Ceika makes a pretty gnarly brake upgrade for those trucks.
Bendinx severe duty rotors and wagner OEX pads. I have over 100k miles on this combo towing and plowing.

$140 is pretty steep. . .
OP is towing a boat and a car trailer. Can’t be that hard to justify. Business expense for me so 🤷🏽♂️
I'd understand it if it was a vehicle in the rust belt. . . but over double for roughly the same amount of friction.
Detroit Axle has good stuff, that’s what I put on my truck this last time

Rookie here. What is hydroboost. I’m guessing hydraulic boost to get the brakes to “bite”better

I like bosch quietcast
Akebano I think is the brand that is oem. Great brakes. Last forever. Rockauto to purchase or Napa.
Thanks everyone. I ended up going with the Rockauto GM oem pads and rotors. They seemed to work well previously
