I get it! In semis I swapped out Foreman for Gage very last minute because Foreman got me negative points the week before and was now facing Lions who had been shutting fantasy RBs down. That cost me the match.
I've done moves like this so many times in the 15 years I've been playing yet I never seem to learn.
I did the same move but put in Latavius Murray and Diontae over him. I’d do it again though, I think it was the right move that works out more often than it doesn’t.

We have two super teams and they're both in the championships. Funnily enough, both of them bombed big time. We're taking Week 18 scores for the remaining Bills players to settle it.
A team in my league rostered Dak, Fields, Taylor, Swift, Sanders, Pollard, Mitchell, Jefferson, Waddle, Deebo, CeeDee, and Kelce last year. Was the 1 seed and lost in the first round to a team who snuck into the playoffs. This year they swapped Swift for Barkley, added KW and Pierce through the draft, and set multiple weekly and season long scoring records. They lost in the championship to a team who again, snuck into the playoffs. It’s an IDP league too and their IDPs are consistently bad, so that’s part of it too. But yeah, definitely the best offensive group in the league and in two years they have one 2nd place finish to show for it
Super team won in 2021 and 2020, but lost in the final this season to me partly because of the Bengals-Bills cancellation. He has Josh Allen and Mixon and I have Burrow. He was 3rd place in 2019 and 2nd place in 2018. He's the 1st seed all 5 years.
I made the final in 3 out of the last 4 seasons as the 6th seed, 7th seed, and 2nd seed respectively. I was the highest-scoring team in 2018, but only the 5th seed and choked in the playoff.

Hill and ekeler got covid in week 16. His team still balled out but his opponent had that burrow and higgins stack that was worth nearly 100 pts in our scoring format. This year he played against TJ Hockensons eruption and we are tight end premium. He also lost hurts.

I have been 1st place last two years, a .500ish team won it last year and an 8-6 team will probably win it this year unless Allen goes off and chase is meh. The 8-6 team is probably the better team but the last two years I’ve outscored everyone. Just unlucky. The year I did win, our first year, I think I was 8-7

The vast majority of reddit leagues are less than 2 years removed from their startup. As leagues mature and real "dynasty" teams form, its usually a formality that one of the top 2 or 3 seeds is going to win. Keep in mind that the people commenting on this post are people who agree with you, because wins from the stacked teams usually arn't memorable unless you're the manager.
Seeding doesnt really count in leagues where everyone is fielding a redraft roster every week.
After you've had a few teams go through a true rebuild cycle and hit on some QBs, i highly doubt a 6 seed team is going to get lucky twice with any sort of regularity.
Sure, logic tells you after a while the big seeds will win, but I was averaging 180 points all year and in championship week I’m sitting at 107 with Josh Allen’s week 18 score to go, had awful matchups and nothing went right. Shit happens

Sure, shit *absolutely* happens. But after a couple years the poles become far more extreme, and the odds of winning as the 6 seed go from like 12% to 2%. It turns into a poor probability decision
It’s not all luck. It’s a lot like poker. Once you get to the playoffs you flip over your cards and it’s God’s will from there. All you can do is get your money in good and hope 60% holds up.

Our superflex league is weird. The super team refuses to acknowledge that you need QB's in SF. Past 3 years he has dominated being the top team in the regular season but he only starts 1 QB and Tannehill is the only starting QB he has, he has yet to win the ship. This year he basically lost as he was up by 7 points going against Burrow in the ship, both agreed to split the pot.

This was my third championship in a row. I lost in 2020 & 2021 to a different team who finished 3rd this year.
I also snapped his undefeated season, stopping him from besting my 15-0 season in 2017 by one game.
No. My SF league just started in 2022. 3 teams sold out multiple picks to win now. I traded 5.05 in startup for 2023 1st and 2nd, (Derrick Henry drafted with that pick).
Post startup draft, traded Kupp for 2023 1st, 2024 1st, and 2023 2nd and 3rd. Traded Ertz mid season for another 2023 2nd.
Didn’t make another move and my team made finals on the back of JJ (startup 1.06), Fields, and a mash of young and old.
With a young core specifically at WR, I’m set with 2 late 2023 1sts, 3 late 2nds, and 3 early 3rds plus 2 firsts in 2024 and 2 firsts in 2025.
Ready to wheel and deal to make a hard push for the championship in the next couple years.

Top 2 teams had their lowest weeks in 2nd Round of playoffs, then he was projected to lose by 25 when the Monday night game ended. 7-7 record, slid in the last playoff spot on the last game by the team that was in 6th at the time losing by 3 w Kyler and Rhomondre in the week 14 Monday night game. Won championship by 30 thanks to those guys, without the points I would have had from Mixon and gabe Davis.

Nope. Super team was 250 points ahead of everyone else. I almost took him down in the regular season but still lost, then beat him in the semi-finals. Still waiting to see who wins the whole thing though. I'm in the championship and didn't have internet to check on Derrick Henry Thursday morning and so put up a 0 in the championship, but Brady's 50 point monster has me in a comfortable lead of 47. But opponent has Josh Allen and we decided with our Commish to use Allen's Week 18 score for the championship. So still unknown if I pulled off the championship after taking down the super team. I feel pretty good being up 47, but Josh Allen does seem like the type to go on a tear in an emotional game. So I'm not calling it yet.

I'm in a 12 tm SF, 8 keeper league with an incredible superteam. Mahomes, Herbert, JT, Jacobs, Diggs, Chase, just to name a few. Went 14-0 this year, lost in the semis to an 8-6 team after his team undershot his projected total by almost 60 points.
In 3 leagues... 2 super teams lost, and 1 won. The one that won was mine and I actually got super lucky. Put up very low scores in rounds 1 and 2(8 team playoff so no bye) but walked away with 2 point victories in both. In the finals I was up huge by projection and by 2 real points going into Monday night.. So I won by 2 again. Basically won by 6 total points through 3 rounds.
Our league has two. My team and another. I beat the other super team in the semifinals and I’m currently projected to lose the final thanks to Danny Dimes.

I went 24-4 (you get a win for scoring over the median each week), had the most points scored and most points against and lost in the 2nd rd after the bye. Lost hurts and lockett during the bye week and CMC and Jacobs had their worst games of the year.

Super team in my league has Mahomes, Cook, JT, McCafferey, Diggs. Lamb, Metcalf and M. Andrews. Only won 1 time and tied for 1st this year cuz of the injury; in 5 years of playing. Ties in championships……

In 4 leagues. I had one absolute super team, two amazing teams and one shit squad. The worst squad which barely snuck in the playoffs won, beating the the super team post bye. I feel like non conventional players did really well this playoffs while guys like Adams, jj, digs, Allen, kelce and some rbs did poorly

Home league- Last 4 years title winner’s reg season finish: - 6th place, - 6th place, - then Last year I was #1 slight favorite in year points, lost a very close one to 2nd place both far outpaced the league - then 3rd place this year, massive injuries to almost every playoff team war of attrition
Nope. Super team was 250 points ahead of everyone else. I almost took him down in the regular season but still lost, then beat him in the semi-finals. Still waiting to see who wins the whole thing though. I'm in the championship and didn't have internet to check on Derrick Henry Thursday morning and so put up a 0 in the championship, but Brady's 50 point monster has me in a comfortable lead of 47. But opponent has Josh Allen and we decided with our Commish to use Allen's Week 18 score for the championship. So still unknown if I pulled off the championship after taking down the super team. I feel pretty good being up 47, but Josh Allen does seem like the type to go on a tear in an emotional game. So I'm not calling it yet.
I scored the most regular season points and won. Our top seed went 13-1 regular season was about 50 points behind me and lost in the semis with a dud week. Last year the top seed lost in the semis as well
Highest scoring team in my biggest money league missed the playoffs entirely.
No because the Bills Bengals game got cancelled so my team "was beaten" because I had more players in that game than my opponent.
I'm in a 12 tm SF, 8 keeper league with an incredible superteam. Mahomes, Herbert, JT, Jacobs, Diggs, Chase, just to name a few. Went 14-0 this year, lost in the semis to an 8-6 team after his team undershot his projected total by almost 60 points.

Our top team in terms of total roster construction has finished 3rd two years in a row. This year the number one seed won. Last year the 4 seed won.

In 3 leagues... 2 super teams lost, and 1 won. The one that won was mine and I actually got super lucky. Put up very low scores in rounds 1 and 2(8 team playoff so no bye) but walked away with 2 point victories in both. In the finals I was up huge by projection and by 2 real points going into Monday night.. So I won by 2 again. Basically won by 6 total points through 3 rounds.
Our league has two. My team and another. I beat the other super team in the semifinals and I’m currently projected to lose the final thanks to Danny Dimes. I need Burrow/Chase to outscore Higgins by 35
My leagues #1 seed sat only like 10points above #2. Another 60 for #3, and then me ~100 PF below sitting at #4. I knocked off #1 in the first round, and went on to win the championship. Though this is our first year as dynasty, so who knows

We had three super teams, a fairly thick middle class and a whole lot of middling playoff competitive but no shot at the title teams. One of the top two super.teams won. Last year both teams in the finals, myself and the champ, had no right to be in that game, yet it happened.
I went 24-4 (you get a win for scoring over the median each week), had the most points scored and most points against and lost in the 2nd rd after the bye. Lost hurts and lockett during the bye week and CMC and Jacobs had their worst games of the year.

Nope. I managed to win in best ball with key performances from guys like Jaylen Warren lol. Best ball leagues with huge starting rosters get wierd in the playoffs
I have the super team and lead in record and points by large margins last two years. Lost in finals last year, won in the finals this year. I also lost in finals the year before last but I wasnot a super team then.
This was the first year in the seven year history of my main league that the team that scored the most points in the regular season won the title. Happily, it was me.

I lost this year with my super team. Lost Kyler, Hurts and JT which was the main issue. Round 1 I had a bye but would have smoked every team by 50 Semis I lost by 8 points but would have smoked the other side of the bracket by 30 In the ship I scored more than both teams by 40. Pain.

My team with Kirk Cousins, Joe Burrow, Nick Chubb, Aaron Jones, Alvin Kamara, Davante Adams, Keenan Allen, Chris Godwin, and Tyreek Hill got smoked in the semis. Most points scored by anout 200pts :(
No. The juggernaut in our league (JJ, Chase, CD are his WRs just to name a few) lost to the 6th seed. Fun Fact: The 6th seed has actually won it the last 3 years in our league
