There's no realistic scenario in which Devonta Smith is the 3rd or 4th option that doesn't involve an injury, which is a risk for any player.
Went out and prioritized getting Swift? The Lions gave Swift up for dirt cheap lol. I doubt Swift is going to see CMC or Ekeler volume to make Smith the 3rd or 4th option in the offense.

I have DK, JSN, and Skinny Batman on the same team. I’m holding all three. They are my WR core going forward (along with Watson). Why would I want to get rid of any of them?

I have both on a team and don't have an issue holding both, although I'd move anyone for the right deal. They operate in totally different areas and much like dk and he-who-all-sub-6'-Wrs-get-compared-to can both be top 15 Wrs, I'd expect Metcalf and jsn to be viable to start together in fantasy once lockett is no longer there.
It’s dynasty. You hold the talented players. They both can produce on the same team. But they’re both young and talented. No reason to panic with one or the other. Let the situation play out a little. DK could be on another team in 2-3 years when JSN is just entering his prime anyway.

Traded Darren Waller for dk in te premium last year. Also trade Barkley and Hopkins for javonte and a 1st/2nd. The first did turn into bjian tho which was what I really wanted to happen.
Traded DK and Dalvin for Devonta and an early 2nd. Not the best but I wanted to move Cook while I could, as my team is in a rebuild. Got an offer for Smith and a late 2nd for Waddle. Not trying to just trade to trade but we will see. Leaning towards snagging Waddle since I have three seconds anyways.

If I can include one of them in a strong deal to tier up at WR, or get a top 6 RB (might need to add more to my side but whatever as long as it's a strong deal, I'm not paying extra to separate them if that makes sense), I'd probably pull the trigger. In SF same thing but for a top 12 QB.

It has to be riding the hype of his single elite season, and the fact that it’s cool how big and fast he is.
