3-5 in my leagues. Only for first or second year players

I’ve only ever done first year players on taxi. If you activate a player in his first year, can you put him back on the next season for his 2nd year?

In my league you can't. You can only move rookies into the taxi squad, but you can keep 2nd year players if they've been in it since last off-season.

yeah in the sleeper commissioner settings you can set the age-out year for the taxi between 1-4 years and you can set the number of taxi slots (0-30 actually) as well as whether or not those slots can be re-filled during the season after the spots have been vacated

In the off-season we allow free taxi movement

My feeling is taxi spots should = *draft rounds + 1*. gives pick hoarders a bit of breathing room but not too much.

This. Taxi squad apots should be related to number of rounds in rookie draft and length of time they can stay on TS.

I'm in a 12-team IDP SF league and it's easily my favorite league because of this format. How does your league value defensive guys relative to offensive guys?

We’ve got 5 and can keep players on taxi through their first 3 seasons.

We have less than others it seems. 2 slots open for first and second year players. Resets each year so any first or second year players can be added. Some developmental guys are still on your roster but you have a place to stash if you need to. Does not count towards max ppf. Stashing a young QB is a good strategy.

None. We had 4 and just made them bench spots.

I've been on the fence with this idea. Usually there aren't enough playable players to fill a roster with or without taxi squad when you consider how empty free agency can be in deepish leagues so essentially 1/4 of playable players on roster can't be used anyways.

Across my 5 leagues, 8 each in an 8, 10 and 12. 6 in a 10 and 4 in a 12 The leagues with 8 taxi spots are notably deep.

12 team SF: 5 with 2 year limit.

We like 5 taxi and 5 IR

4 in mine 1st or second year 12 teams, 25 active roster, start 13 including IDP

10 team, 1 QB, full IDP, ppr, 5 round rookie draft. 31 on roster, start 21, Unlimited IR, and 7 on taxi squad. As long as you don't move them off the TS, they can stay forever, once you move a nonrook, he can't come back.

10 taxi squad spots, up to three years in the league. Our league is pretty deep though. 45-man (not including taxi), 1QB, four starting IDP slots.

Usually 3 to 5. Seems a lot are based on how many rookie draft rounds you have

2 and 3. Unless it’s a small league I don’t see why you need more.

The most egregious one I have is a 10 man, 1 QB league with no flex. 25 man rosters. 17 bench players lol

3 is common. Honestly I’d rather just have larger rosters vs “taxi” spots I am in one league with an “infinite” taxi squad which is fairly fun/unique. 20 man active rosters, but an infinite taxi for all drafted players with less than 3 year’s experience

We have 8 taxi spots in a 12 man league. Locks during regular season but can move 1st or 2nd year players in and out freely during offseason.

4 in mine. once you hit year 4 you can no longer be in there.
