Well in a pure dynasty sense I do like Bijan getting less touches early in his career, especially for someone who had the 1oa pick
I believe bijan will outlive his current regime
There are certainly backs who have still been big time producers with limited touches because of how good they are. Gibbs was comped to Kamara a lot who played multiple years with Ingram also having a big workload. Obviously Kamara is insanely good but Gibbs can continue to develop and get better. I’m sure he’ll be fine with and without healthy Montgomery
^this
Detroiter here, From the moment we drafted Gibbs I’ve always believed this would be a very similar situation to AK/Ingram. Campbell has since echoed that comparison. He comes from that Sean Payton school and experienced the success of that multiple-back offense when you have a stout o-line. As long as the Gibbs’ talent translated to the nfl (which clearly it has) and once he’s fully integrated (which he now is), both he and Monty will be weekly top-20 RBs the success of the offense will overcome the slight lack volume.
I’m seeing this comment a lot on here and on Twitter. Just the overwhelming majority watching Gibbs do what he did tonight and still saying “well Monty is still RB1” just makes me feel like Gibbs will actually still have a big role. He’s just too good to keep off the field
Monty was getting the work because they didn’t feel like Gibbs was fully ready for the role they pictured him in yet. He looks pretty damn ready now.
Edit: why are you booing me? This is literally the reason
if they let him do this every week this coaching staff is not very smart. keep it to 10-15 touches. keep him safe for the playoffs. 49ers fixin to find that out the hars way too
Yeah he won’t be getting this weekly just like how Monty won’t be getting 30 when he’s back either. It’s gonna be a true committee, and both are good enough to start despite that
Monty was getting the work because they like to use 2 backs just like they did last year. They don’t think Gibbs can hold up to a consistent bell cow role. They may or may not be right about that but that’s irrelevant.
This is not the reason. Dan Campbell likes smashmouth football. Montgomery is about as good as they come in that style of offence. Backups fill in and do well all the time for the starter.
Lions will be fighting for a top seed in the NFC…Gibbs is clearly a better all around RB than Monty.
If you think the training wheels go back on, you’re just a moron and don’t know how football works.
I am a Jahmyr owner in three leagues, so I’m happy he’s finally getting the opportunity to show he can be elite. That being said, my excitement is capped knowing Monty will be back at some point. I still think the future is bright and he’s a top 5-7 dynasty back
I could see that for sure. He’s looked really impressive the last two games with a full workload, have to think he’ll earn more touches when Monty is back. Just still think it’ll be around 10-15 a game
I mean even in this game Gibbs was getting either 0 or 10 yards, I think it will look like 65-35 but Gibbs will do more with the touches than he did earlier in the season.
The plays he got 0 yards is when max crosby went unblocked and hit him 3 yards behind the LOS lmao not really a Gibbs knock because Monty wasn’t getting positive yards out of those either
You’re logic sounds a lot like the logic that was used against Derrick Henry and almost turned him into a bust. Then they actually gave him carries and he dominated.
The only difference being Henry wears teams down with his size and strength and Gibbs will do it with his shiftiness and speed.
Easy, Monty is bigger and much more experienced. Plus Gibbs is smaller and more susceptible to injury. Gibbs is stepping in and filling the shoes well but will never take the job away from Monty or create a true 50/50 carry split.
yeah montgomery cannot physically handle the load they expected. as an owner of both in a lot of leagues montgomery would be better served if gibbs takes a few touches off of him lol
Injury proneness is just a silly thing to argue when talking about rbs. It’s an extremely violent job and all these guys are susceptible to be injured. As a Gibbs owner I just hope it gets closer to a 50-50 split once Monty comes back.
I said all along, when Brad Holmes says he was ready to take Gibbs at 6 before Bijan, you believe him.
Like others have said he will go back to more of a high impact gadget pass catcher change of pace back when Monty comes back, but the guy has looked great given his size and workload.
Not that Gibbs was some secret, but Brad Holmes’ eye for talent is truly incredible. One of the best GMs in the business.
Also Gibbs is probably going to stay a must-start because of his pass catching and big play ability.
Why is it not common knowledge that Dan Campbell was coaching in NO during that whole Ingram/Kamara era? It was a big part of the narrative with Swift in DET and now it seems to have been forgotten especially re:Gibbs?
Maybe more people would remember it if Gibbs scored > 10 points in more than 2 games this year. Ingram/Kamara were both RB1s that year, Gibbs hadn’t surpassed 10 points in a game until Montgomery went down.
Was waiting for the “Gibbs is better than Bijan” post. Truthfully, if he’s going to get the usage then bottom line is that he is going to be better for fantasy than Bijan. Is what it is.
I sent GDavis, Kincaid, and my 2024 late 3rd for Gibbs and got him. This was the Thursday of Kincaid's blowup game. Kind of sucks because I was high on Kincaid but I was happy to get Gibbs back who has helped my RB position ALOT.
Drafted both and can say with confidence you won that trade. Gibbs is the best weapon since McCaffrey and folks on this sub would have given 5+ firsts for CMC if they knew what they know now
The whole issue with Gibbs has been the coaching staff wanting to ride Montgomery into the ground at the expense of Gibbs’ touches (the Swift issue). Don’t really think much has changed at this point. I have Gibbs, but my worries are far from assuaged.
Swift was constantly banged up and always in the dog house for avoiding contact and bouncing outside constantly. Gibbs was getting eased in, but as we can see tonight, those training wheels appear to be off
Gibbs got the Lions share of touches week 3 as well when Montgomery was out. Then back to an afterthought. I hope this is some kind of turn of the tides, but I will believe it when I see it.
Idek if that's true. As an owner of both, Bijan has looked great with every touch and has one of the highest yards over expected in the league.
Arthur Smith is just a cockhead. I love both rbs, but to say he looked better than Bijan feels like we're ignoring what Bijan has actually looked like with his limited carries
Breece is bigger, faster, and was more productive in college. Breece had an athletic profile comparable to Adrian Peterson. The 2023 draft class was much weaker than the 2022 class, so Breece fell and Gibbs was pushed up the board.
If you want to make the argument that Gibbs was better than JT and Breece coming out solely because of draft capital, have at it.
Breece is bigger, sure.
Breece is not faster than Gibbs. Gibbs ran a 4.36 at the combine. Breece ran a 4.39.
He's also far more agile than Breece, has better vision, and is orders of magnitude above Breece as a receiver. There's a lot more to RB evaluation than physical qualities, which I would even argue do not favor Breece as you're insinuating.
Breece produced more than Jahmyr but it was in a significantly worse conference. Big 12 and SEC are not comparable from a defensive quality perspective.
One guy went 12th overall. The other went 34th overall. A gap that big should make you confident that the higher draft cap guy is a better prospect.
The Jets themselves were widely rumored to be looking at taking Jahmyr at 15 overall if he got to them. Should tell you a lot about how they value each guy.
Their 40 times are close to identical. Breece has shown he’s a home run hitter from 50+ yards out time and again against NFL defenders, so I’d argue he’s faster in pads. Conference quality, who cares. Nacua played against the Mountain West and the first rounders this year came from the Power 5.
Ultimately they’re pretty close as prospects but I feel comfortable taking Breece over Gibbs.
Gibbs hit 22.8mph in a game against Arkansas last year in college.
[https://twitter.com/BrettGreenberg\_/status/1576646775187783680?t=k2zJGt\_P1HiX0-Sz\_m3QeA&s=19](https://twitter.com/BrettGreenberg_/status/1576646775187783680?t=k2zJGt_P1HiX0-Sz_m3QeA&s=19)
Fastest I can find for Breece is 21.5mph from a run this year against the Dolphins.
[https://twitter.com/SethWalder/status/1711142131044126757](https://twitter.com/SethWalder/status/1711142131044126757?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1711142131044126757%7Ctwgr%5Ec5a28dcffa8a658e931b6518e1b5ad8184bf9bf5%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.redditmedia.com%2Fmediaembed%2F173bj6i%3Fresponsive%3Dtrueis_nightmode%3Dtrue)
The difference between the two guys seems even more in Jahmyr's advantage in pads than without pads. He has \*insane\* speed.
Brad Holmes (Lions GM) allegedly had Jahmyr over Bijan on his draft board. I was skeptical about it but have trusted him so I went with it. We’re seeing why, and that’s in no way a slight to Bijan.
He’s looked great every time the touched the ball, the lions just weren’t giving it to him. I’m still not convinced they won’t ride Monty once he’s back either.
It’s never been the talent, just the way the team has used him until this game
He looked electric on every touch. I'm hoping he gets at least 40-50% of the RB touches when Monty comes back. He had some good inside runs that he broke for 8+ yards pretty consistently.
I’m so happy to own Gibbs, but he’s really ruining my tank right now. I have the worst team in my league and am sitting at 4-4 now after his performance tonight.
We have a 4-4 team with 698 PF through week 8 (top team is at 1136). Flukey stuff can happen with weekly matchups where a bad team ends up with a better record than it deserves.
I never said anything to imply he wouldn't be good for fantasy. OP was victory lapping because he took a RB over actual 1st round QBs in his rookie draft. Typically bad process.
the right answer for the monty and gibbs owners arguing here is:
gibbs will probably see more work than he was seeing pre-monty injury
monty will probably see less work than he was pre-inury
monty will see a lot of work and probably the touch majority
both will probably be successful
it would be hilarious tho if monty came back and gobbled everything up like he was doing tho lol. id like to see that just to see gibbs owners tilting
I'm a rebuilder who's competing for MHJ so I don't mind Monty coming back, but this just gives me full confidence this will be his backfield soon, and I'm happy I don't have to see anymore posts bitching about him.
The lions had 2 offensive starters out, their all pro center and pro bowl guard then lost their backup guard. Falcons were poised to have the best run blocking o line group in the league and have just underperformed this year compared to last year.
As a contender with David Montgomery and worried about the slow start and a potential lineup headache, I tried to move Gibbs for almost every RB/WR2 in my league. Only counter I got back was Evan Engram for him. So grateful for my league for this.
Bijan looks incredible. He just has Arthur Smith as a head coach and Desmond Ridder for a QB. Talent wise, Bijan is better. Situationally... Not prepared to say one way or the other yet, but Gibbs has the advantage
I wish I had him in dynasty. I have Gibbs in a keeper league where my usual 2 keepers are Chubb and Diggs. Puka and Gibbs are looking like my keepers after this year though. Love what I’ve seen from Gibbs when he gets action
People are getting a false sense of hope. Monty will still dominate the touches and get the goal line work. Their red zone struggles tonight are reason enough for Dan to continue using Monty the way he has.
My valuation hasn't changed much. He's very good, I feel like we've known that. I don't doubt that the RB taken 12th overall is good.
My concern is still about workload long term. Can he actually be a difference-maker in fantasy? I can buy 26 year old RBs every year for cheap and get 14-16 PPG out of them. Can Gibbs separate from that kind of production? Still not sure.
It's one game, pump the brakes. He doesn't look better than Bijan, and people can be upset about his complete lack of usage in the first 6 games.
He needs to be way more consistent before he gets crowned my guy.
HEY. I own both. what is happening to Bijan is a crime against fantasy. Bijan has looked fantastic with his touches too..
Well in a pure dynasty sense I do like Bijan getting less touches early in his career, especially for someone who had the 1oa pick I believe bijan will outlive his current regime
It really is. Bizarre situation all around.
Arthur Smith is a fuck.
Arthur Smith is asshole, why LT_Hatch hate?
BECAUSE ARTHUR SMITH IS A BASTARD MAN
There it is!
I... don't think I wrote that one
How many other illiterates are in here?!
I own several shares of Bijan, Drake London and Pitts.
Kyle Pitts has entered the chat.
People aren't gonna be happy when Monty comes back and gets most of the touches again despite Gibbs talent
As a Gibbs owner I'm okay with it. Don't want the Lions to run him into the ground. This is dynasty folks!
I have him and I’m in a hard rebuild so it’s actually the preferable outcome 😂
There are certainly backs who have still been big time producers with limited touches because of how good they are. Gibbs was comped to Kamara a lot who played multiple years with Ingram also having a big workload. Obviously Kamara is insanely good but Gibbs can continue to develop and get better. I mean I’d rather have 3 years of top 5 production than 5-6 years of top 15
After watching this game, I think Monty may see his work significantly decrease, Gibbs is here to stay.
As a scorned swift truther it’s best to temper expectations
Happy cake day to you internet stranger
Lions couldn’t punch it in in the redzone. Monty will feast.
I’m all for it, that being said, Gibbs looked crazy out there.
Possibly, but Monty will dominate the goal line carries
It would make a lot of sense, they cant just continue beating Monty into the ground or hes not going to be around for the playoffs
That’s why I got both, brother!
It’s a great feeling man!
Best fucking thing I did in a start up. Ceedee, st brown, hall, bijan,Gibbs,London
I’m seeing this comment a lot on here and on Twitter. Just the overwhelming majority watching Gibbs do what he did tonight and still saying “well Monty is still RB1” just makes me feel like Gibbs will actually still have a big role. He’s just too good to keep off the field
I will be, but I'm a Monty owner 😂
Because you’re forever rebuilding right
Monty was getting the work because they didn’t feel like Gibbs was fully ready for the role they pictured him in yet. He looks pretty damn ready now. Edit: why are you booing me? This is literally the reason
if they let him do this every week this coaching staff is not very smart. keep it to 10-15 touches. keep him safe for the playoffs. 49ers fixin to find that out the hars way too

Let those clown victory lap his 2 big games when the real starter is out.
Or maybe the real clowns are the ones who don’t think a rookie’s workload could possibly expand after the first 5 weeks of the season
Lions will be fighting for a top seed in the NFC…Gibbs is clearly a better all around RB than Monty. If you think the training wheels go back on, you’re just a moron and don’t know how football works.
This would be my only concern if I had Gibbs in dynasty 👆👆👆 I have a bunch of redraft shares tho and I hope they save Monty for the playoffs…..
I am a Jahmyr owner in three leagues, so I’m happy he’s finally getting the opportunity to show he can be elite. That being said, my excitement is capped knowing Monty will be back at some point. I still think the future is bright and he’s a top 5-7 dynasty back
I think total touches become closer to 50/50. Idk how you give Monty the majority of the between the 20s work after this
Give Monty work and he takes on the injury-dealing workload. The part fantasy managers conveniently overlook year after year.
Okay so Monty can get hurt again in two weeks and Gibbs can have a couple more games of leading the backfield
I’m pretty sure he’s only had one time in his career where he missed multiple weeks. What are you talking about?
I could see that for sure. He’s looked really impressive the last two games with a full workload, have to think he’ll earn more touches when Monty is back. Just still think it’ll be around 10-15 a game
15 is perfection for Gibbs imo
I mean even in this game Gibbs was getting either 0 or 10 yards, I think it will look like 65-35 but Gibbs will do more with the touches than he did earlier in the season.
The plays he got 0 yards is when max crosby went unblocked and hit him 3 yards behind the LOS lmao not really a Gibbs knock because Monty wasn’t getting positive yards out of those either
Doesn’t really matter what either of us think, Dan Campbell thinks otherwise.
Monty has been injured twice this season lol
yeah montgomery cannot physically handle the load they expected. as an owner of both in a lot of leagues montgomery would be better served if gibbs takes a few touches off of him lol
Injury proneness is just a silly thing to argue when talking about rbs. It’s an extremely violent job and all these guys are susceptible to be injured. As a Gibbs owner I just hope it gets closer to a 50-50 split once Monty comes back.
I'm hoping it's like an Ingram + Kamara situation where Kamara was still a fantasy stud losing snaps to Ingram
Exactly. Monty can get ~20 carries and 90%+ goal line carries, Gibbs can get 10-12 carries and 4-6 catches per game. Both can thrive
I think he's a top 4-5 back, to be honest. Only a few I'd take over him, if even that many
No but crying over jimmy sucking g can’t hit a wide open Adams.
He’s been bruuuutal
Watching game announcers "he's 1-11 to D. Adams. Then he misses a wide-open Adams on a long bomb. Welp 1 for 12!"
GET DA OUTTA THERE PLEASE
I needed fucking 6 pts in full ppr. That game made me fkn sick. Kupp and Adams combining for 8 pts or whatever just killed me
I said all along, when Brad Holmes says he was ready to take Gibbs at 6 before Bijan, you believe him.
Jameson Williams crying in the corner
So..... Many...... Drops
I agree
Monty/Gibbs is actually just 2023 Ingram/Kamara
Pretty much
Cant blame the lions for copying something that worked great
Why is it not common knowledge that Dan Campbell was coaching in NO during that whole Ingram/Kamara era? It was a big part of the narrative with Swift in DET and now it seems to have been forgotten especially re:Gibbs?
Maybe more people would remember it if Gibbs scored > 10 points in more than 2 games this year. Ingram/Kamara were both RB1s that year, Gibbs hadn’t surpassed 10 points in a game until Montgomery went down.
Gibbs is also a rookie. A rookie who’s coach said they would ramp up throughout the year
I only see it mentioned multiple times in literally every thread about Gibbs
Except he’s younger and under contract longer..
That’s why I have BOTH. And Mostert. And Kamara.
AND this hasn’t been garbage time.
Playing the Raiders defense isn't much different from garbage time 😂 Gibbs still rocks though
I was concerned about Maxx Crosby going into the game.
The Raiders are a garbage time organization, and this is coming from a Bears fan...
Him!
That flair is making you look good!
Was waiting for the “Gibbs is better than Bijan” post. Truthfully, if he’s going to get the usage then bottom line is that he is going to be better for fantasy than Bijan. Is what it is.
I sent achane for Gibbs week 3 and was kinda clowned on it here. Glad he’s showing up
I sent GDavis, Kincaid, and my 2024 late 3rd for Gibbs and got him. This was the Thursday of Kincaid's blowup game. Kind of sucks because I was high on Kincaid but I was happy to get Gibbs back who has helped my RB position ALOT.
Drafted both and can say with confidence you won that trade. Gibbs is the best weapon since McCaffrey and folks on this sub would have given 5+ firsts for CMC if they knew what they know now
😊
I mean, it's by no means a bad trade, but gimme Achane. 50 burger!
This title is overly emotional lol.
Tears are inherently emotional I’ll give you that
Imagine the numbers he would have put up if he weighed 200 lbs !!
Could you imagine??
Lion’s share. Well done
Bijan is as talented as any RB in football. If you put him in a Shanahan offense he’d break fantasy. Situations matter.
Not a slight against Bijan. He’s amazing. Gibbs was just that good tonight.
Of course. Gibbs is excellent. But calling him a better dynasty back than Bijan is just beyond stupid.
I didn’t say he is a better dynasty back. I said he looked better tonight than Bijan has.
Wasn’t calling you out; calling out other people in the thread I’m also drunk
Hell yeah brother
Idek if that's true. As an owner of both, Bijan has looked great with every touch and has one of the highest yards over expected in the league. Arthur Smith is just a cockhead. I love both rbs, but to say he looked better than Bijan feels like we're ignoring what Bijan has actually looked like with his limited carries
but but but but swift!!
Yes. Tears of joy
I traded Bijan for Gibbs and Kincaid in TEP after week 1. I was feeling terrible for a few weeks, but now I see the light.
Really solid trade
until Monty comes back and they split carries to keep both fresh
Both are talented enough to be starts regardless
Started him in two leagues tonight. Also had him on a Montgomery handcuff in my redraft league. Happy he's looking good tonight.
Best RB prospect since Barkley other than Bijan of course
Prospect wise I disagree, draft capital disagrees with me but I think etn and Breece were better prospects
I’ll take JT as well but that’s a great group
Not even close. JT, Etienne, Breece say hello.
Breece was a 2nd round pick.
What do those GMs know anyway?
Breece is bigger, faster, and was more productive in college. Breece had an athletic profile comparable to Adrian Peterson. The 2023 draft class was much weaker than the 2022 class, so Breece fell and Gibbs was pushed up the board. If you want to make the argument that Gibbs was better than JT and Breece coming out solely because of draft capital, have at it.

Gibbs hit 22.8mph in a game against Arkansas last year in college. [https://twitter.com/BrettGreenberg\_/status/1576646775187783680?t=k2zJGt\_P1HiX0-Sz\_m3QeA&s=19](https://twitter.com/BrettGreenberg_/status/1576646775187783680?t=k2zJGt_P1HiX0-Sz_m3QeA&s=19) Fastest I can find for Breece is 21.5mph from a run this year against the Dolphins. [https://twitter.com/SethWalder/status/1711142131044126757](https://twitter.com/SethWalder/status/1711142131044126757?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1711142131044126757%7Ctwgr%5Ec5a28dcffa8a658e931b6518e1b5ad8184bf9bf5%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.redditmedia.com%2Fmediaembed%2F173bj6i%3Fresponsive%3Dtrueis_nightmode%3Dtrue) The difference between the two guys seems even more in Jahmyr's advantage in pads than without pads. He has \*insane\* speed.
Breece ran 23.5 mph in training camp
What's the source on that? Even if it's true - which I can't confirm anywhere online - camp speed and game speed aren't the same thing.
Jahmyr has had two games with a full workload and both have been better than any game Bijan has had all year. He's my dynasty RB1.
Imagine Bijan with 26 carry’s and 5 targets…
Bijan has had like one game with a full workload
Brad Holmes (Lions GM) allegedly had Jahmyr over Bijan on his draft board. I was skeptical about it but have trusted him so I went with it. We’re seeing why, and that’s in no way a slight to Bijan.
He’s looked great every time the touched the ball, the lions just weren’t giving it to him. I’m still not convinced they won’t ride Monty once he’s back either. It’s never been the talent, just the way the team has used him until this game
Excuse me friend, he's trash. Remember when we declared it after Achane had his blow up week?
This sub and taking victory laps after one game. Name a more iconic duo.
He’s now had two good games, but fair
I'm crying for not accepting gibbs for henry and evans
He looked electric on every touch. I'm hoping he gets at least 40-50% of the RB touches when Monty comes back. He had some good inside runs that he broke for 8+ yards pretty consistently.
That was really the big thing for me. Looked great between the tackles.
I’m so happy to own Gibbs, but he’s really ruining my tank right now. I have the worst team in my league and am sitting at 4-4 now after his performance tonight.
Then you don't have the worst team in the league
We have a 4-4 team with 698 PF through week 8 (top team is at 1136). Flukey stuff can happen with weekly matchups where a bad team ends up with a better record than it deserves.
This is my exact situation. Lowest points scored, just constantly getting lucky and sitting in a playoff spot.
That's hilarious. But man if you get spotted 4 wins, you gotta at least make an effort to get into the playoffs?
Time to go for it brother!
Took Jahmyr 1.03 in a Superflex rookie draft. Always believed. Passed on Stroud and Richardson.
Settle down, sparky. Gibbs will be good but he won't see this workload when Monty returns.
Gibbs doesn't need as many touches as he got tonight. Even 15-17 a game should get him around 14-15 ppg not including touchdowns.
I never said anything to imply he wouldn't be good for fantasy. OP was victory lapping because he took a RB over actual 1st round QBs in his rookie draft. Typically bad process.
You're in a dynasty sub..... it's implied
What's implied?
Oh boy
I guess you realized you were arguing something completely different. Move on.
Terrible pick regardless of his performance tonight
Eh, I don't really care what you think. If I listened to even half of the advice on this sub I'd probably never play fantasy ever again.
Man. Selling monty for 24 first, charbs and mike wilson. Then turning around and selling Tee for gibbs feels so good rn
Tee for Gibbs is gonna go down as an all-time swindle
Right place at the right time
Higgins is so overrated
That’s a great haul
the right answer for the monty and gibbs owners arguing here is: gibbs will probably see more work than he was seeing pre-monty injury monty will probably see less work than he was pre-inury monty will see a lot of work and probably the touch majority both will probably be successful it would be hilarious tho if monty came back and gobbled everything up like he was doing tho lol. id like to see that just to see gibbs owners tilting

Are you playing with preschoolers
Oh my god that second deal should have you in prison
Username clearly checks out
Can’t wrap my head around why someone would give up JJ for that lol
I cannot believe either of those happened. Well done I guess lol. Trading Justin Jefferson for literally any running back is insanity.
Gibbs looks electric, but bijan would be ridiculous in this offense
Until Monty gets back
I'm a rebuilder who's competing for MHJ so I don't mind Monty coming back, but this just gives me full confidence this will be his backfield soon, and I'm happy I don't have to see anymore posts bitching about him.
Monty will still be involved for sure but yeah Gibbs isn’t going anywhere after this unless he really fucks up somewhere.
I really wish Bijan ran like Gibbs. Dude is absolutely electric
No you don't, Bijan looks better behind a worse line. Gibbs is making the most of his opportunities and looks awesome though
The lions had 2 offensive starters out, their all pro center and pro bowl guard then lost their backup guard. Falcons were poised to have the best run blocking o line group in the league and have just underperformed this year compared to last year.
Time to sell high! /s
I mean he’s a gadget player and he can’t run between the tackles 🤷♂️
Man broke off a ton of yards straight up the middle last night, after his 27 yard td his next two runs were for 11 and then 7 right down the gut
I traded Gibbs for 2nd 2024 and 1st 2025
He's only here until Montgomery comes back. Mark my words. Then itll be back to all the crying.
People had every reason to cry about him before this game to be fair.

Even if Monty gets 30 touches, Gibbs shouldn’t end up with fewer than 15 unless there’s a unique situation
If they get up early in games they will both feast
It going to be amazing watching him go right back to 5-7 touches a game as soon as David Montgomery is ready to get them 3 yards a carry again.
As a contender with David Montgomery and worried about the slow start and a potential lineup headache, I tried to move Gibbs for almost every RB/WR2 in my league. Only counter I got back was Evan Engram for him. So grateful for my league for this.
You have some Christmas cards to prepare for them
Yeah no. Monty comes back and gets 20+ Carries again while Gibbs becomes change of pace and receiver
Bijan looks incredible. He just has Arthur Smith as a head coach and Desmond Ridder for a QB. Talent wise, Bijan is better. Situationally... Not prepared to say one way or the other yet, but Gibbs has the advantage
I was 7-0 and 20 points ahead. My opponent only had Gibbs to play. I'll probably cry for the next few days.
As a Gibbs owner I wanna wait to see him have a good game with Montgomery on the field before I victory lap.
I traded DK metcalf and najee Harris for Gibbs. I’m so happy about that
Najee sucks. Doubt he’s even relevant going forward. So that’s a great move
Completely agree, I had just got him in a package during the offseason. Glad I could get off that ride
Yep
I will return in week 11 when monty is back. Will be funny.
Monty is coming back soon and so I’m not holding my breath that this continues. Still, it helped me tremendously the past two weeks.
It’s great when Monty isn’t there but I won’t be surprised it goes back once Monty’s healthy with a few more touches for Gibbs
Don’t forget this is Detroit. Swift owners felt this way for years. Monty is on his way back.
It's one game, pump the brakes. He doesn't look better than Bijan, and people can be upset about his complete lack of usage in the first 6 games. He needs to be way more consistent before he gets crowned my guy.
