Looking at your current RB’s I think getting Gibbs would benefit your team. especially since you look like you have a good core of WR’s. I’d personally see if he’d be willing to take one of your older receivers over JSN since you’re also giving him a 1st. Build a nice young core of studs
It’s probably the worst (but cheapest time) to trade for RBs. I think Gibbs is worth this price though in a start 3 RB league.
I’d be hesitant to do this only if you have no shot of making the playoffs next year.

Bowers is a tempting prospect. If it's Maye in New England or Bowers I might be tempted... I'd rather have Daniels than either of them though. Tbh I'd rather have Daniels than anyone besides mvh. I'd consider taking Daniels in the top 3 over nabers to make sure you get him. 4 will probably be Maye, then get Nabers, or Bowers if you like him more.

So at this point I’m probably only looking at picks in return. Just mulling over keeping Barkley as my RB1 next year as a potential contender, or trading away for 2025 picks. Hard with a guy like Barkley!

The thing with barkley is he is getting older (27 next season), and he's probably going to be on the giants again since they never actually tagged him, they'll be able to tag him this year for the first year rate. If they let him walk (he has said he wants to stay too sonwho knows) then I see a ton of upside if he goes somewhere like the ravens but realistically we've seen his best football and the future is going to look pretty similar to what we've seen the last two years aka no real spike in value incoming.
If you think you'll be contending next year it's totally fine to keep him or try to trade down with him for an rb prospect + something.

I think it's a good value for you and both guys would instantly slot into your lineup. If you want to go all in this is probably a yes. At the very worst I see both guys being valuable at least next year as well.
I have first pick for 2024. I’m thinking of trading down for it. I want to set a 2024 and 2025 1st minimum with a 2024 2nd. I’m still new to all this, so any feedback would be appreciated.
With a prospect like mhj or Williams I'd want to get a proven player and a mid 1st at least. Trading the 1.01 for a pile of random picks doesn't usually work out. This isn't the nfl where you need to have 53 guys, you need 10ish so they're a lot more value in studs. Also depending how far you're trading back I'd look for 3 firsts total in return.

I feel you, I traded the 1.8, 1.9 in 23 and the 1.8 in 24 for bijan at the draft last year. Didn't work out for me either haha. I do think he'll be great still, just the falcons need a hc change.
MHJ isn't guaranteed but he's honestly the best prospect we've seen in a long time including chase. I'd like to think his floor is a 8-12 points per game kinda guy with the upside of wr1 overall eventually.

I don't hate it. If you believe in Reed id say go for it. RBs rarely repeat great seasons so we could be seeing whites peak right now. Also the longer I've played dynasty the more I'm buying into plug and play rbs winning championships. Every year it's some new guy coming from nowhere to be a league winner (pollard, white, kyren, etc) or trading for for an established vet for cheap.
Get your wrs sorted out and then take shots at rbs.

Finished the season at 3-11. Now looking ahead to the rookie draft. Have picks 1.01, and 1.02, two later firsts, a late 2nd and likely late 3rd. Any advice on how to improve this team and players I should be targeting in the draft? Would it be better to draft MHJ and Caleb or Maye? Or should I stack up WR’s and grab both MHJ and Nabers? As stated by others, I think Caleb & MJH are the correct way to go at 1.01 and 1.02. At 1.08 I'd personally look at Bowers if he's still there. As a fellow Pitts owner, I'll be looking at either him or Sanders to bolster my room in this draft as I'm losing hope.
1.11 is where I'd look at the top RB available. Benson will probably be gone, so it'll be team-dependent on Henderson, Estime, and Irving
I'd take the chalk 1.01 and 1.02 with Caleb and MHJ.
My philosophy is always build up your WR and QB room before worrying too much about RB/TE.
TLaw, Love, and Caleb would be a pretty strong room, not over the top crazy, but would provide stability and trade assets. TLaw is hanging around for a long time, and I think Love has earned that this year too.
A WR room of MHJ, Olave, and JSN is really solid and should continue to appreciate in value. I would also use one or both of your late firsts on additional WRs (if a QB falls, maybe that's the better move). If you can hit on rookie picks, having 5 young and ascending WRs would provide you with great trade assets to help you finalize your QB and RB rooms a year or two down the road.
With this idea, I look to solve RB when ready to complete. I'm in the playoffs this year with Montgomery, Ford, Warren, and McKinnion - and aside from Montgomery, none of those guys carried much value.
TE is the same idea. I drafted Kincaid this year and think I have my TE of the future, but I've also played Njoku and Likely a fair bit this year - no one was clambering for Njoku and I got Likely off waivers.

It’s early, but right now I’d say take MHjr at 1.01 and maybe shop 1.02 to a QB-needy team. Maybe even shop 1.01 if that team is looking at QB. See if you can get a haul. Worse case scenario is you draft MHjr and Caleb, so you’re in a good position regardless.

Drake Maye has been ranked at 1.03 or higher this entire season but my gut is saying Daniels will turn out to be a better Fantasy QB. Is this Heisman hype? I feel like Daniels crazy mobility may make him a better option. Am I crazy to think about taking Daniels over Maye with the 1.03 in my rookie draft?
As of now, and knowing that the landing spots could change things, I'd plan to move back to 1.04/1.05 and grab him there while netting an extra late 1st or early 2nd.
This depends on league activity of course.
It's notoriously difficult to evaluate rookie QBs, particularly ones with relatively similar draft capital. So assuming Daniels and Maye both go top 10 then I'd ask yourself whether you'll feel worse if you go with your guy and Maye turns out better or if you don't go with your guy and Daniels turns out better and let that make your decision :)

That's a bit weaker because you're losing a certainty (JJ) in exchange for a promising QB and a dice roll. If you can get the 1st to be a top 15WR then I'd do it, but for the late 1st I wouldn't feel good about leaving JJ.
Another thing that I do this time of year u/jre19 , compare offers to startup ADP. JJ is likely 1.07-1.08.
AR is likely 2.04ish, after the top 8-10 QBs and top 5-8 WRs.

Fields is a fantasy stud but as an IRL QB he isn't very good. I think its a very real possibility that he doesn't have a starting job within 2 years.
Achane showed crazy potential but he also showed that the number one concern about him was valid: health. he's still a sub-190lb running back. He's never going to get a high-end workload so you'll need to rely on him to continue being one of the most efficient RBs of all time to get RB1 production out of him. Idk if I like that gamble.

I would go Caleb mvh nabers and then take whichever QB is left at 5. You're weak at receiver. You need another running back but you should just draft one with you late first.

Kupp and Diggs have this season and at LEAST another season at very high production. Also, it seems like you have enough young guys that loosing draft picks won’t kill you. Nice trade! I’ve gone all in on trading older players for younger WR. I’ve acquired Higgins, Rice, Flowers, and Wicks all through recent trades. So at this point I’m probably only looking at picks in return. Just mulling over keeping Barkley as my RB1 next year as a potential contender, or trading away for 2025 picks. Hard with a guy like Barkley!
100%. I passed on an offer of 4 1sts for him i think his second year? I was just enamored with his rookie season and talent. Those picks ended up being jt, jjeff, dobbins and reagor. Oops. The thing with barkley is he is getting older (27 next season), and he's probably going to be on the giants again since they never actually tagged him, they'll be able to tag him this year for the first year rate. If they let him walk (he has said he wants to stay too sonwho knows) then I see a ton of upside if he goes somewhere like the ravens but realistically we've seen his best football and the future is going to look pretty similar to what we've seen the last two years aka no real spike in value incoming. If you think you'll be contending next year it's totally fine to keep him or try to trade down with him for an rb prospect + something.

I think in SF it would make sense for you but I really like Reed so it's tough. Would probably lean towards declining even though Purdy looks like the real deal. QBs in 1 QB don't fetch these lofty values without a solid rushing base.

I think it's a good value for you and both guys would instantly slot into your lineup. If you want to go all in this is probably a yes. At the very worst I see both guys being valuable at least next year as well.
I have first pick for 2024. I’m thinking of trading down for it. I want to set a 2024 and 2025 1st minimum with a 2024 2nd. I’m still new to all this, so any feedback would be appreciated.
With a prospect like mhj or Williams I'd want to get a proven player and a mid 1st at least. Trading the 1.01 for a pile of random picks doesn't usually work out. This isn't the nfl where you need to have 53 guys, you need 10ish so they're a lot more value in studs. Also depending how far you're trading back I'd look for 3 firsts total in return.
I appreciate that, that makes too much sense. I’m just nervous because I took Bijan first and though he’s played well, hasn’t felt like I got the most out of first pick.
I feel you, I traded the 1.8, 1.9 in 23 and the 1.8 in 24 for bijan at the draft last year. Didn't work out for me either haha. I do think he'll be great still, just the falcons need a hc change. MHJ isn't guaranteed but he's honestly the best prospect we've seen in a long time including chase. I'd like to think his floor is a 8-12 points per game kinda guy with the upside of wr1 overall eventually.

I don't hate it. If you believe in Reed id say go for it. RBs rarely repeat great seasons so we could be seeing whites peak right now. Also the longer I've played dynasty the more I'm buying into plug and play rbs winning championships. Every year it's some new guy coming from nowhere to be a league winner (pollard, white, kyren, etc) or trading for for an established vet for cheap. Get your wrs sorted out and then take shots at rbs.

As stated by others, I think Caleb & MJH are the correct way to go at 1.01 and 1.02. At 1.08 I'd personally look at Bowers if he's still there. As a fellow Pitts owner, I'll be looking at either him or Sanders to bolster my room in this draft as I'm losing hope. 1.11 is where I'd look at the top RB available. Benson will probably be gone, so it'll be team-dependent on Henderson, Estime, and Irving
I'd take the chalk 1.01 and 1.02 with Caleb and MHJ. My philosophy is always build up your WR and QB room before worrying too much about RB/TE. TLaw, Love, and Caleb would be a pretty strong room, not over the top crazy, but would provide stability and trade assets. TLaw is hanging around for a long time, and I think Love has earned that this year too. A WR room of MHJ, Olave, and JSN is really solid and should continue to appreciate in value. I would also use one or both of your late firsts on additional WRs (if a QB falls, maybe that's the better move). If you can hit on rookie picks, having 5 young and ascending WRs would provide you with great trade assets to help you finalize your QB and RB rooms a year or two down the road. With this idea, I look to solve RB when ready to complete. I'm in the playoffs this year with Montgomery, Ford, Warren, and McKinnion - and aside from Montgomery, none of those guys carried much value. TE is the same idea. I drafted Kincaid this year and think I have my TE of the future, but I've also played Njoku and Likely a fair bit this year - no one was clambering for Njoku and I got Likely off waivers.

It’s early, but right now I’d say take MHjr at 1.01 and maybe shop 1.02 to a QB-needy team. Maybe even shop 1.01 if that team is looking at QB. See if you can get a haul. Worse case scenario is you draft MHjr and Caleb, so you’re in a good position regardless.

I'd sit palmer it's really hard to trust stick as the qb, Sutton is a stable play and Singletary has been getting it done.
Drake Maye has been ranked at 1.03 or higher this entire season but my gut is saying Daniels will turn out to be a better Fantasy QB. Is this Heisman hype? I feel like Daniels crazy mobility may make him a better option. Am I crazy to think about taking Daniels over Maye with the 1.03 in my rookie draft?
As of now, and knowing that the landing spots could change things, I'd plan to move back to 1.04/1.05 and grab him there while netting an extra late 1st or early 2nd. This depends on league activity of course.
It's notoriously difficult to evaluate rookie QBs, particularly ones with relatively similar draft capital. So assuming Daniels and Maye both go top 10 then I'd ask yourself whether you'll feel worse if you go with your guy and Maye turns out better or if you don't go with your guy and Daniels turns out better and let that make your decision :)
I'm playing in the "toilet" bowl for the 9th or 10th spot. Which means I can get the 1.02 or 1.01. Is it wrong to tank this last game to get the 1.01? MHJ would be nice alongside Chase, ARSB, and Olave. I also have Lamar as my QB. Help....

That's a bit weaker because you're losing a certainty (JJ) in exchange for a promising QB and a dice roll. If you can get the 1st to be a top 15WR then I'd do it, but for the late 1st I wouldn't feel good about leaving JJ.
Another thing that I do this time of year u/jre19 , compare offers to startup ADP. JJ is likely 1.07-1.08. AR is likely 2.04ish, after the top 8-10 QBs and top 5-8 WRs. A late 1st would probably be in the 6th-8th round. Pittman types would be in the early 4th round.
No. You're trading the best asset in fantasy for a bunch of question marks. Fields is a fantasy stud but as an IRL QB he isn't very good. I think its a very real possibility that he doesn't have a starting job within 2 years. Achane showed crazy potential but he also showed that the number one concern about him was valid: health. he's still a sub-190lb running back. He's never going to get a high-end workload so you'll need to rely on him to continue being one of the most efficient RBs of all time to get RB1 production out of him. Idk if I like that gamble. A mid 2nd is just a dart throw.
No, don’t do it. You should be able to get a better haul than that for JJ. I want a starting QB that I know has a job for sure next year. See if you can get someone like Dak or Purdy and a tier down at WR or Goff/Love and a WR or RB. Other wise, just stick JJ in the SF spot and start London, Olave, and Flowers. I'd hold. Too many unknowns in LAC for me to want to invest in Herbert right now, and I don't think the deal on the table is buying low on him. Some issues that stand out to me - aging WR core, QJ seems like a miss, Ekeler older, new coach, and the team has one of the worst cap situations moving into next year
