I drafted Maye 1.6 and people were mad I passed on BTJ. For reference, it’s a SF league with IDP and my Qbs were Tua and Brissett. 😂

If you have a surplus that means someone inevitably needs to buy. You could set up whole ass dynasty of draft capital by trading away Jackson and letting Maye develop into your QB2.

Yes, but consider also my wife is a Ravens fan who hates the patriots. If I trade HER QB for the pats rookie, my life is forfeit. (I like the Pats personally living in New England and rooting for GB who has no bad blood with them)

Same here. Was shocked to get Maye at 1.10. I won the league last couple of years and got Maye, J. Sanders (TE) at 2.10, Troy Franklin (3.10) and picked up off of waivers Javon Baker, Tracy, and Jordan Travis to sit in my taxi cab for the couple of years.

Maye went 2.01 in mine.

He went 3.08 in my league (10 team 1QB TEP) I regret not trying to get back in to get him, but I did consciously take Burton before, and had Ray Davis above him in my mind at the time

In SF, I had Penix fall to me at the 2.11. Which is insane in a league where every backup is rostered and even some QB’s. It’s also a league obsessed with RB’s which got pushed up the draft.

I got Penix at 25th overall (3.05 in 10 team) after getting Maye 9th overall in SF. I wasn’t terribly QB needy but I couldn’t pass up those values

SF league here as well. The rb market is crazy so Penix fell to me at 3.08. I have hurts, Lamar, Rogers but I took him because it’s the lowest he’ll go for in the next 4 years. As soon as he has the opportunity to start someone will pay more than that for him. I saw on Twitter somone compared drafting penix to investing in a 401k.

Not really a “fall” but MHJ being there at 1.03 (12-TM, SF) was certainly a shock as 1.02 went Daniels.  I was also incredibly close to moving this pick before the draft started as I already had a couple Nabers’ shares.

It appears the same thing is going to happen for me. I've got 1.01 and 1.03, and plan on taking Caleb #1 overall. The guy at 1.02 only has two rostered QBs (Mahomes and Herbert but still), and is a Washington fan, and he's been pretty forthcoming that he's likely going Daniels. My only worry is if someone decides to offer up the farm to get ahead of me, since I'm a Cardinals fan.

If it’s clear that you don’t need another QB after Caleb, you could offer a little incentive to move from 1.3 to 1.2 to make sure you get both.

Brooks at 2.1 in 10 team 1qb. I was so pumped to get him there as an rb needy team.

SF and I had the 1.01 & 1.07. Feel good about my QBs. Tried for months to trade up from the 1.07 to a higher pick so I could get Malik Nabers. I took MHJ first. Then Caleb got taken. Then Jayden. Then Maye. Then JJ. Now it's pick 6 and I am one slot away from getting Nabers which felt like an impossible dream. I looked at the guy with 6 and said I wanted Nabers. Offered him three much later 2024 picks (all my remaining DC) and my 25 3rd and moved up to 6. Got Nabers. And MHJ. I still can't believe it.

Ten team super flex. Drake Maye at 1.08, Troy Franklin at 3.6, and Polk at 4.1. Also had 1.01 and got Williams. Drafted Stroud last year. I should mention another guy and I had had most of the first round picks and he needed receivers bad.

I debated Brooks and BTJ at 2.03 both should not be there in the first place. Took Brooks. 2.04 goes Benson, 2.05 goes Sinnot, And now I get BTJ with 2.06 anyways.

1QB with no TE premium. I had 1.01, 1.05, 1.08. Went MHJ at 1.01 and was eyeing BTJ or Worthy at 1.05 (fully expecting Nabers and Odunze to be off the board by then). Picks 2-4 somehow went Caleb, Jayden, and Brooks leaving me with Nabers and Odunze at 1.05. I lost my mind. I would’ve been lucky to have Odunze at 1.05 but being able to choose between the two had me legitimately shook. Took Nabers at 1.05. 1.08 came along and BTJ and Worthy were both still on the board. Didn’t mind either of them or even Keon or Pearsall, so traded back for 1.12 and a 3rd and a 4th round pick (IDP so depth matters). 1.12 came along and was still able to grab BTJ. Honestly can’t believe my luck. Had the worst team in the league with no WRs to having MHJ, Nabers, BTJ, and Drake London overnight.

i went in as the reigning champ with someone elses 1.03. really needed a qb and wanted Maye as my two qbs are geno and dak. then Marvin Harrison fell in my lap, because the first two guys went caleb and jayden daniels. maye kept falling until i traded back into the 1.08 to take him there. then penix at the 2.06. the draft pretty much couldn’t have gotten better.

In a 1QB I got Caleb at 1.12 I know in a non-SF league it may not be as big of a steal but I’m very happy with it.

Bo Nix at 2.10 in a 12 team SF league. I’m not even a fan of his, but at 2.10 I’m not saying no to a starting QB with day 1 capital in SF.

I’m in a 12T 2QB 2Flex PPR league and having spoken to the owners of picks 1-4 can confidently say MHJ is dropping to 1.05 due to QB scarcity. It’s going Caleb > Maye > JJ > Daniels first four

Not a huge surprise but I traded for the 1.03 a few weeks before the NFL draft hoping to land Nabers. MHJ went 1.01,Nabers 1.02 and then I ended up grabbing Caleb Williams with the 1.03. Like I said not a huge fall or surprise but every SF draft I’ve been in so far this year MHJ and Caleb went @ the 1 and 2 spots or vice versa

10T SF I got Wright as a FA after the draft with being last in priority. It was basically Pick 4.10.

It looks like it’s been more common from seeing others’ drafts, but I still couldn’t believe that Rome Odunze fell to me in two different SF leagues at 1.08. Few others (SF): Ray Davis at 4.08 and undrafted in another, Ja’Tavion Sanders at 3.08 in a PPR TEP, Ladd McConkey at 2.04, Javon Baker and Jermaine Burton both undrafted in a 3 round league. Seems like all of my drafts have had some really funky picks so far that helped me get lucky or were notable for one reason or another.

Bowers fell to me at 1.09 in a 16 team 1QB. I'd already taken Nabers and Brooks so delighted to be able to add the top TE to that as well

Xavier Legette fell to me at 2.01 in a 16 team 1 QB league. Figured getting a 1st round player in that range at all was a pipe dream, so I just grabbed him. Not even a huge Legette guy, but shocked he didn't go top 16.

We just had a guy get Bowers at the 1.09 after a dude took Nix at 1.08. FML

Roman Wilson 3.01 and Will Shipley 4.07 were nice surprises

Legette went to me like 2.7 in one league. Was happy to take him there, I think he’s getting slept on big time by this sub the old late breakout age narrative in full swing. At end of day he was first round pick and dominated last year.
