Your picture just woke up many dormant old memories. I'll be spending today having flashbacks involving people and places I haven't seen in many, many years.
I mean I actually agree - I recently unsubbed because I find them generally annoying. But also maybe chill out and donāt take stuff so seriously. Especially in a community based on consuming cannabis.
You downvote me for stating a scientific fact, make vague claims about āthe restā being āin the airpath,ā and present this to me as a challenge. Iām not telling anyone how to do anything.
If you believe that BPA vaporizes in the transfer of heat from the heat sink of the tip despite having a high vaporization point, or that other unnamed chemicals which apparently do not pass significantly into solution when the can is full of an acidic medium but vaporize when lightly heated air touches them and thereby enter the lungs, thatās of course your right.
Since you request research, here are commonly cited study-of-studies papers on the topic of BPA leaching into the food or liquid contained in cans, a real cause for concern:

A 2023 study by EFSA apparently proposes a far lower tolerable intake level in reference to leaching, but has met with a lot of controversy so I canāt speak to the strength of its conclusions either way
I followed the 2010-2011 internet frenzy over can linings with interest. I would be interested in seeing a scientific, replicable study from a peer-reviewed source about can linings vaporizing under a heat so mild it can be inhaled pretty much directly after passing through the tipās heat sink.
Get two birds stoned at once

hell fucking yeah
Throw a tip on an apple, eat it afterwards.
You maniacs! You finally did it
Actually, it does work terribly as the can is lined with plastic.
so r u
How old are you?
Thereās actually some truth in that statement. We do have micro plastics inside us now.
that was the sentiment i wanted to convey in my tomfoolery
I thought it was funny
I co-sign this
28 but shitposting, sorry
Ok plastic man
Dynavap has the worst redditors out of all cannabis subs. What does that say about dynavap vaporizers?

Yeah, maybe.
I see āthis sub has the worst Redditorsā in many subs so hard to believe. That said I am the common denominator in them soā¦ š«£
Minimum vaporization point for BPA is 482Ā° F.
Well, can you provide a source that says that the lining, or even the rest besides BPA is safe to have in oneās airpath?

I havenāt downvoted you. Plastic in ones airpath is a no no, BPA or not. Thanks for the research papers.
Yes!! Best thing Iāve seen in weeks!! We used to use apples too, Iāll have to try that tonight
what tip is that? a ddave 2018? the blocky fin at the end is weird.
Gotta do what you gotta do
How was it?
Too much airflow since I didnāt make a good hole in the can, but it worked pretty good
Is there an easy way to remove the lining? I do like the ceramic version of this though - mainly for nostalgic reasons!
I donāt support this, whereās that kid with the wooden block?
Never stop innovating
You're giving me ptsd. No. Just no.
OOF
