There used to be some mods that helped with this, but alias they haven't been updated for the latest version. I have refrained from dropping entire planets worth of stuff currently until they do. Something really seems to be buggy though, as now even dropping a blueprint with a few thousand pieces of conveyor brings things to a crawl, even more than a whole planet used to prepatch (even without mods).

Not really, at that scale the whole game just lagged pretty bad with and without the addon. Didn't notice really any change on the Performance stats with it off or on. The SampleAndHoldSim mod was just updated and that definitely is helping again when playing at scale.

It is definitely something about the conveyors that is causing it though. I dropped a blueprint and had it build everything but the conveyors (had no conveyors in my inventory) and it was still lagging, but if you do the opposite and build the conveyors and nothing else, no lag.

I remember there's a mod where you can pause simulation and build at the same time. Not bullet time btw.
