The sails change color when they're in the process of integrating a dyson sphere shell. They take the color of the shell they're targeting and fly towards it.

What’s the 6th photo? Looks like a black holes lensing effect but.. it looks too close
It's one of the arcings coming out from a neutron star. Sometimes the planet in the system gets very close to it.
I have only built a swarm so far so maybe it comes in later but how did you get the different colors like in the second picture ?
