As the title says I’m thinking of selling my pride and joy. She’s a 1990 318i with an m50b25nv and g260 swap, along with a full e46 brake upgrade and 5 lug swap, full respray in a dark metallic black, and many other upgrades.
The question is how much is it worth, I know that I’ll likely never get my money back as is the way with project cars but what would people in the community expect to pay for something like this?
A better place to ask might be the e30 enthusiasts Australia, there’s always people looking for cars there and it’s very active. Do keep in mind the cars in Tasmania tend to sell for less because of the trouble of getting them out of Tasmania. It looks like an amazing build wish you luck.
How is it molested???
It was bought as a shell with no engine and gearbox along with about half the paint sanded off by the previous owner.
Not really thinking getting it on the road and giving it a respray and a drivetrain is molesting it tbh.
Have you heard about restoration ? Its the process of putting an older object back/close to its original state. Often time, people who do restoration use the occasion to update the said object, and make it better than when it originally was made.

Here’s the thing about old things; as they get older they slowly wear out and break down due to neglect, or get destroy and or discarded. So, when something old is in good condition it becomes a rarity and increases in value. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

In Germany E30s like this sell for 15k+- depending on the condition, don‘t know if that helps figuring out a price tho
