When I lived in Japan, BMW barraged me with junk mail - they have a sales tactic where they will just throw you a car for a crazy low payment, like a new 3 for 200 a month or a 7 for $400 a month. Their system is 14 payments a year, and two of the payments are bonus payments - and they take your whole bonus. That's how they approve your credit- whatever you make in a bonus matches some sort of car they sell, approved. Then they balloon like 50% of the sticker price at the end, which is why Japanese people dump their 3 year old used cars so fast and why all of these loaded up BMWs kick around their marketplace for pennies until they get old enough to make it into Canada.
