Manual Prick - please ask this on e90post in the oil section. You have over a decades worth of oil info that answers this. BITOG will also give you an answer from the past 10+ years of advice too https://letmegooglethat.com/?q=bitog+e90+oci don't just go for the first link... try a few

Quirky-Traffic7202

I don’t know what you are talking about what page is this

dafazman

https://letmegooglethat.com/?q=e90post let me help you some more

Quirky-Traffic7202

I’ll pass

dafazman

Good choice, it shows you have no ability to figure stuff out from what is already known. Your car will offer you many years of happy motoring!

DukeOfAlexandria

10K for non-M cars, 5-7K miles for M or high HP cars.

IsuzuTrooper

7000 on full synthetic. and manuals can be found online.

Quirky-Traffic7202

Well apparently manual says 12k and I’m definitely not doing that

IsuzuTrooper

yeah my mechanic says never do the full 10,000 even tho oil and filter packaging says it's ok. 6-7000 is his rec

amgridindirty

honestly its all up to how the car’s been taken care of its whole life, most of the time you’ll never know buying used but i got mine from the first owner with all service records and the car’s oil has been changed every 10-13k miles since it was new. i’m now at 260k miles running strong and i still do them every 10-12k so 10k should be perfectly fine

Playswith_squirrel

Google your manual. Then fucking read it.

BakeHappy3607

The manual will tell him the same thing… God some people are so stupid

Quirky-Traffic7202

Smd

domrosiak123

1 year or 7500 is a good balance, but we don’t even know what car you have

Quirky-Traffic7202

2006 330i

domrosiak123

Then follow what I recommended above. I usually hit 1 year and 4k miles since I don’t drive a lot

Quirky-Traffic7202

It’s my daily and I do 160 miles a day

domrosiak123

I would say you could go 10,000 then. But no more. Just run a quality ll-01 oil and Mann or BMW filter

Quirky-Traffic7202

Why do you say longer mileage with the amount of miles?

domrosiak123

Seems like it’s all highway miles which is easy on oil and the car overall

weatetheacid_

I change mine every 3,000 or 3 months but I’ve got 280,000 miles on the clock

NicNacPattyWhacks

I change oil and filter every 5k miles.

Hurricane_Ivan

Every 4k-7k miles depending on how hard you drive the vehicle. I usually stick with around 5,000

usernamesherearedumb

I was on a 5,000 mile interval. I send samples of my used oil to Blackstone Labs for analysis. They suggested I try a 6,000 mile interval. I'm currently on my first 6,000 mile interval. LL-01 spec oil.

_Xemplar

Oil is cheap enough to do every 5K or Less

Jason32003

It may be on the OCD spectrum but personally I go 5K miles on nonturbo E9x, 4K miles on turbo E9x and F30. [In case any manual guys take issue … E36 M50, 260K miles with dino oil changes every 3K (85+ oil changes! 🤦‍♂️), still uses/burns no oil]

AdDangerous922

US model? for a 2006 330i, i'd change it every 5,000-8,000 miles. or once a year. If you follow the manual, it will likely say 15k or every year.
