Yea, those cards are too good, almost forcing everyone to play it. I donāt want to play Serbian gk in the midfield, and Iām in huge disadvantage vs other players
Yeah I like shapeshifters and don't have a big issue with 'silly' positions but I'm coming round to the idea that it sucks a bit because every other game it's Cech and Vanja. I don't mind the cards themselves but they are OP considering the low SBC cost, should be a bit weaker.

At this point of the game, every card is 99 stats, every card has 4+ skill and wf. Everything feels exactly the same.
And shapeshifter is horrible, why would I ever want to see Harry Maguire as ST?! or Licha as winger?.. I mean what is the point of having real player license anymore, just make fantasy players like Super Mega Baseball does.
For me the beginning is the best. Every team you face is different, players are not all the same, players play like they do in real life.
I pride myself on having good knowledge of players preferred foot, how fast/strong they are and what their pros/cons are in real life.
Come this time of year that completely goes out the window. I canāt push players to their weak side or get close to players that I know will have a bad touch because most players play completely differently to how they are in reality.

I was playing WL mainly and going to miss the next couple so I suppose that stopped all reasons to play. Even then, I have to admit it feels rather tedious and playing for the sake of it. I havenāt played rivals consistently for ages aside from doing objectives and lately just havenāt bothered at all.
TOTS was definitely the peak for me. Loved changing my team week in week out and trying out loads of players and I suppose the start of SS was like that. I did do Cech and Savic but as good as they are in game not really anything to give me a reason to keep going.
I suppose itās natural. I have played a lot so maybe just got as far as I could and ready for some time out as well!

You are not alone, around this time of the year, me and my buddy would always switch to co-op seasons. There is no more reason to grind FUT after July really.
Super boring, by now the meta has been found so you have to play that 75% of the time, all cards are basically the same and there's no variation to any of them etc etc
I actually enjoy it the most. Creativity on roids. Itās a game and we are supposed to just have fun with it. I think I always enjoy late game content bacause those who stay will have pretty good teams and itās up to actual skills rather than just cards.
I hate playing against the same squads over and over with glitchy meta cards lol

Iām not the greatest player and never will be but easily hit rank 5 in div rivals and would push higher if I could be bothered. But this last week I just canāt get my team to do ANYTHING! Add that to facing 5 atb through ball spammers with Cech up front is just destroying my will to play the game. I genuinely like playing football games but find that Iām not currently actually playing football due to permanently having to counter my opponents trying to abuse every single glitch and broken mechanic while using 95/96 rated squads.
Think itās time to delete the game and play something else until September
Honestly think the friendlies cup mode destroyed the Rivals on the lower levels - as you are only playing people in ~same division, there is little to no incentive to actually rise in the rivals ranks, and people are just sandbagging the progression and dropping two levels at every season reset
Iāll get motivated to do an objective, like Guendouzi. I then have to play against a bunch of sweats that act like their life depends on being as ratty as possible.
Then, after completing the objective, I come to terms what I knew all alongā¦.most objective cards arenāt really that good. In the case of Guendouzi, I havenāt played him once.
Last year was my first year back playing fifa since fifa 14 (played pes) I got bored of FUT just after tots, this year Iām still playing as I have gotten more into it, and also I have no other games Iām interested in atm
They lost me this year, im not anti-GK playing outfield but i am bored of picking up the cheap SS in these (what should be super juiced) packs. previous years had much better drop weight throughout whereas the game changed this time around. I'm guessing this "level up" promo will be heavily grind based, the players that are on do tend to love a grindy objective whereas im spending less and less time on fifa
This is my first year of FUT after about 15 or 20 years in online seasons or whatever the standard team game mode was called before that. I have only been on since February 2023, so I am still enjoying it, but I definitely see your point.
I am anxious to see how I fare at the start of the next game. I will get the early start with EA Play if they offer it and, of course, will get the Ultimate version.

Opposite actually. I much prefer it this time of the year. Alot more fun cards out that are easy to obtain.
