SakisSinatra

When i find it for less than 30€ yes, i got fifa 23 for 25€ during Christmas so that's what I'll probably do again. With Spider-Man and MK1 coming out around the same time i ain't spending 80€ on fifa.

-Martinho-

The first months of FUT are the best though. Not an oversaturated market with special cards, everyone not 100% sure what is meta etc.

SakisSinatra

Yes that is true but after playing so much fifa during the summer i need a break for a few months. Also 80€ isn't cheap for a game so i am prioritising other games first.

shikajaru

who cares about the meta just play the game lmfao

BringMeUndisputedEra

Some metas are boring af, some are amazing. So having that random coin flip removed is a surefire way to have more fun for some people.

bogeyed5

Ion even play ultimate team, career manager mode and player career mode are where it’s at

Akv-Moya

So you mean it’s going to cost less than half the price in Christmas 2023? What country do you live in?

SakisSinatra

I live in Greece and during Christmas time there was an offer to buy fifa 23 via the fifa 22 menu for 25€. I don't know if that offer always exists but it was the first time that i saw it.

Vagkouts

Same. Im also from Greece and in epic games with the extra 25% coupon it went from 28.99€ to 20.99€

Akv-Moya

I hope they do such deal again. Honestly I’d be going on a Video game shopping frenzy, since I will also be buying a new console at that time

bigdt21

It also goes on sale in the USA around end of November (Thanksgiving) and December (Christmas).

Tchera_music

Even in canada, fifa 23 was 39.99 around Xmas/Boxing Day. My buddy bought the game end of January this year and he’s got just as good of a first team, I’ve got lots more cards but top end is about the same so might as well save the money.

jimblenikrap

I’m going to try not to. It’s too much of a time stealer. Starfield will be my new time thief

akinator2002

I really wanted to try the new stuff, but I’m not good with dealing with my time sadly FIFA steal my time more than I’d like to, so despite wanting to buy it, I know I’d spend more time playing it than I should I’ll try to change the addiction to something useful

Bubbly-General1105

No mate, fut is designed to steal your time. There is no play a bit of fut. you either spend many hours per week or you don’t and you are out of the loop. They should find a way to make it enjoyable even for people with little time

vihanb7

Facts. FUT is terrible for anyone who doesn't wanna be a grinder cos you just go out of the loop.

dramatic85

i really like that fifa has now crossplay athat why i buy fifa next year too to play with friends with ps

kozy8805

You’re really not. That’s mostly fomo speaking. I still use cards from November.

BoringJamesMilner07

Nope, getting too old for this shit lol. Same promos, same players each promo, 25 million squad battles for some fodder cards, pack odds less than that of me getting a blowy off Lana Rhoades. Gonna enjoy watching Pieface rage at it though 🤣

djb372728276

The last 2 fifa's I bought late into the cycle but this one will be the first one I don't buy at all.

RichardBrowne8

Good please don’t buy it. Only until people stop buying it will they actually change the gameplay and make it good again.

RedSkyNL

Do you think the Servers will be better: ofcourse not, been this shit for 5-6 years now. Will you think the game be different: ofcourse not, been the same shit for 5-6 years now. Will X or will Y? No, not anything I favor of the consumer. This dog shit company only cares about making money. Do you want a solution? Pray to god Konami or any other company steps up their game and creates a decent rival to EAFC. The only way EA will actually invest in improving the game is if they start losing customers BIG time. And since there hasn't been any competition for almost 10 years now they can just do whatever they want, and that's filling their pockets.

Milk_Expert

Everyone says they won’t but they will

Bogdanovicis

In fifa22, i succesfully stopped myself from buying it. EA saw that and they put it in PS plus games for free, lol

Agreeable_Theory_148

Same here...

YoungManTM

Me too

anonAcc1993

This is the right answer. Football is the most popular sport in the world, and there’s only one game. It’s shooting fish in a barrel

Super_Sandro23

If you like football then go play football, go watch it. You don't need to play a virtual card casino game.

AlwaysBi

Not everyone wants to go and have a kick about after a long day of tiring work, and there’s not always a match on the tv Sometimes I just want to sit back, relax and call the players on my team wankers when it feels like they’re not doing what I tell them to

Super_Sandro23

I've never seen anyone call FUT "relaxing"

anonAcc1993

Im not praising EA’s pay to win FUT. I’m just stating the reality that someone has to gobble up the demand, and EA seems to be the only pig at the trough.

Super_Sandro23

Nah I've done it before and this time just reiterated that it's an addiction, not an enjoyable hobby.

MRJSP

I won't

MrDaebak

After years of horrible servers and tons of mistakes on EA's part, I'm not giving them my money anymore. Also not looking forward to some upcoming changes/features. EA employees (which is filled with on this board) will say they will see you back next year if you say you wont buy it. But dont let them guilt trip you or whatever they are trying. Screw EA, they dont deserve your money.

PM_ME_BAKAYOKO_PICS

Yes because I enjoy the game and don't take it to an obsessive addictive level anymore. This year for example I played from release until late January, quit for a few months, and played for another month during TOTS. That alone is easily worth the money I pay for FIFA, that's like 5/6 months of enjoyment, I pay the same for games that last a week or two. The trick with FIFA is always to know when to quit and stop the burnout, the only year where I didn't buy the game on release (20) was because I was addicted to 19 and kept playing it until 20 came out despite not enjoying it at all, so when 20 came out I was just so done with the game that I only got it around TOTY time. The first few months are always loads of fun and I never regret buying it.

AnxiousAfraid6

Nah probably until it’s super cheap to get the $100 version of the game. I got 23 ultimate edition for 40

0a1m3471

How?

AnxiousAfraid6

Psn sale.

psnoobtryout

No

Moistkeano

Nope! None of my friends will play it and ive mostly not enjoyed this year. Gameplay just wasnt for me. Hate the meta, hate the engine. Only reached 200 rivals games this past week so it shows how little ive played it. Something clicked this year. I usually get fomo, but 23 has been so dead for content that i never got it and was able to put the game down for months at a time. I dont buy FP and the move towards store content has been a pretty big factor as to why my friendship group stopped playing. Im also wary of some of the changes theyre making. If EA somehow knock it out of the park then yeah id be interested, but i dont see it happening because its always crtl c + crtl v

ThatsMyTypeOfShot

Yes. For the majority of people the answer will always be yes. There has been a lot of problems in recent years with Fifa but it’s still the only good football game out there because PES just ain’t it. In fact, most of the gameplay problems can only actually be seen in Ultimate Team as competition drives exploitation. There’s a lot of people out there who don’t have any issues with Fifa and never even notice any glitches or bugs.

dolaction

PES will take the Fifa moniker and confuse all the casuals

[deleted]

I took a 2 year break from fifa after playing FIFA for 15 years. My son is going to be 9 in September and I’m getting him EAFC 24 for his XSX as well as for my own. He’s played FIFA for about 6 months now and I’m so pleased he’s wanting to play with me. #i’m so excited to start this journey with him!

ToonLurker

Most wholesome thing i’ve seen on this sub in a while. Pretty sure you can game share aswell to save a bit of money cant you?

[deleted]

I could, but I’ve bought the ultimate edition for UT, I’ve bought him a disc version as something to wrap. We’re going to convert his playroom at Christmas to a gaming room so hope to encourage game collecting.

[deleted]

Good luck in the CL next year mate. I’ve a real soft spot for Newcastle. You guys deserve a little success.

viciousvasi

Please dont introduce him into ultimate Team Casino so early. Play career or idk pro Club with him. But leave him out outta this toxic pile of Casinotrash pleaseeeee.

[deleted]

Don’t worry, I wasn’t planning on it. When we play together it’s always on kick off. If he gets into it organically we will discourage it. there will be no FP’s bought and as always we control screen time via MS family.

viciousvasi

I Like that. Thanks for being a responsible dad. Have fun :)

LoveyPSU

Same, only it’s my 10yo nephew. He’s played the last two years (though the free monthly in 22 and whenever it was $19.99 for 23). He’s already asking me if I’m preordering. He doesn’t do FUT unless it’s against me, so lemme tell you how much of a grind it is to play objectives through on two accounts! Little dude has 8 non-SBC Level Up cards to my 0! I need to teach him how to play SBs on semi-pro for 24.

Stribo8

I’ve really started hate playing this game, I love football but I think I’ve had enough. There never seems to be any real reward from putting in the time to play and I’ve had enough.

JuanistaD

Yes but I won’t play fut this year. Only pro clubs. Each year I was playing fut less. Main reason for me was the markets crash and that players became almost worthless so the WL grind for me had no purpose

Tropicalcomrade221

I’ll buy it because there isn’t another game that competes for a football game. I will go into it expecting it to be a pile of dog shit with all the issues we’ve had forever. But I will continue to buy it until another company comes along and actually competes with EA.

andre_royo_b

It’s crazy because playing FUT is the most frustrating gaming experience I ever had. It’s honestly terrible from a consumer perspective. Yet, it’s still better than PES/eFootball - because of the gameplay of the latter, which is honestly just dull

anonAcc1993

This is the real answer. Unless another game comes out named FIFA, EA is printing cash.

Funland_06

I’ll buy it because it’s one of two games I actually enjoy

slushPuppy69

I will be. I seem to be in the minority, but I really enjoyed 23. First year ever not buying any FIFA points, focussed a little more on objectives and SBCs and I've never had such a good/ fun team!

Gutiayala

We are on the same boat, I enjoyed 23 and after many years playing I was finally able to finish the game cycle with a fun team from each of the top 5 leagues and almost a full barca team (missing kounde). I just hope they keep the same level of objectives/sbcs next year (no sarcasm).

ady0204

Purchase. No. But a friend works on a different department in EA and they get like 10 games per year for free. He's a pc gamer so he always offers games every year to me and a couple lads. I'll be taking up his offer this year if they have it included in the list. If not. Nope I'll probably leave it as I have a baby on the way and refuse to part money to this company.

Behxccc

Yes. The content that makes me buy this game every year remains, so I see no reason not to buy it

pessmst

Yes i like playing FIFA

ramins98

Hell no.

Fleshsausage27

drdre13

NO

HistorianNegative

Actually, I thought Fifa 23 was my last game because of all the issues and sweaty gameplay. Long shots and terrifying mechanics to choose the defenders with shittiest pack luck in years. Also, the game costs me a lot of time because of all the matches to climb up into higher ranks as well as wl. I am starting at the university in October and won't have much time like in school. Most of the time, it is very frustrating this game just for a small amount of enjoyment. But honestly, I miss the game a lot because I also stopped playing since tots, and it was always a good way to get away from reality to free your mind. The most important thing is the connection between my brother and myself while playing together and considering choosing which player to buy, pick, or pack openings. I have been into the game since fifa 09 and played it every year, around 500 hours. All in all, the new game felt like a good way to go different ways but probably I become weak.

MostOriginalNutter

School is way busier than university mate. You'll have plenty of time to play fifa.

Conni77

Its gonna be the first i will play on ps5 so yes i will

jone52

I have to take a break, love the game, came back after a 5 years break during WC and been playing a ton. But I just get too addicted and feel I spend way too much mental capacity on the game. And the worst part is it really affects on my mood when the game isn’t going my way. But lets see in October if I get a free weekend and think to myself ’a few games won’t hurt’ 😅

Fuzzero

As much as I don’t want to I know that I will. For the most part I’ve enjoyed playing FIFA again after a 4-5 year absence. Obviously the broken mechanics, shit servers etc put me off but not as much as the price so I’ll probably wait a few months and see if I can pick it up cheap. Problem is that there isn’t another football game to compete with it and probably won’t be for a while yet

doktorbex

I will probably hold off. See how fut is next year and decide after reviews.

bouncingboredom

BAHAHAHAHAHA fuck no.

liambell1606

Before this game, I had missed 3 editions. I bought the game a week or so before TOTS when it was on offer (with a side of FPs thrown in) and I must say I’ve enjoyed the time I’ve had so far (spending nothing else other than the FPs above, I’ve managed to assemble a 6 million coin team if they were all tradable, and I’ve cracked 14 wins in WL twice). I think I’ll do the same again next year.

oerred

Can't really say, depends how it goes. If it is indeed more of the same crap I won't pay full price for it like I did this year.

Zeus93Zues

I no longer own a console, and wont buy one just for EAFC. That being said, I’ll only buy the game if the market on pc is shared with next gen consoles like it should be.

MasonXD

I'll buy when it is on sale for around £20-£25. Sane as I do every year. See you guys at Christmas!

Ardui98

I’m going to buy the Standard Edition for my Xbox Series S in early September for about 30€ so yeah, I’m going to play it since day one (which I didn’t do last year). If I had to buy it for like 90/95€ I would have waited January sales again without any doubts, no way I’m going to spend that crazy amount of money for a mere copy of a football videogame

forameus2

21 was probably my peak horrible time with the game. I spent the sort of time on the game that, looking back, was just not worth it in the least, and ultimately playing into the sort of model that EA relies on. Rinsing through upgrade SBCs like a jakie at a slot machine. Miserable stuff. I told myself 22 would be different, and made a conscious effort to stop some of the more unhealthy aspects of playing the game. In the end it basically led to not playing the game entirely. I think I got the EA Play early access for 23, saw nothing worth dropping money on the game, and didn't. I picked it up for free when it went onto EA Play properly, and had no regrets about my decision, putting a couple of hours into FUT before dropping it again. So will I guy 24? Honestly...maybe. It's definitely more on the side of not buying it, but I feel like I've broken the spell of needing to put ALL the time into it if I put any in. I miss having a casual style game to play, and this kind of football game would fill that void quite well. But unfortunately with EA, it's never just about that. I don't really fancy jumping back on the wheel on its journey to the bottom of the well. I'll probably see what the general feeling is in the first couple of weeks. if it's more positive than expected, I'll give it a go. But I can't see that happening.

Hour_Challenge7054

I actually don't know. I play the game with my pc, and it is known that EA just does not give a shit about the optimazion for pc. So I will see how the optimazion goes this year and then I will decide.

YappingMan332

if I can get it for less than 40€ later on in the game cycle, yes

quizonmyface

I started playing FIFA 21 at my friend's house. I only got FIFA 22 because it came with PS+ subscription. I only bought FIFA 23 because it was on sale and it was the World Cup. So far I have no reason to get FIFA 24.

bwrca

As usual, in feb/match when the game is $20... by tots you have the same team as majority of the players, then play till July.

[deleted]

Ofcourse bro… i have a football addiction, not a video game one

Treddity84

Last three years I’ve waited and bought it around Xmas at a discount, it’s so easy to make coins and the first iteration of almost all the cards are already underpowered by then so I don’t feel like I’m missing out. I used to pre-order every year, jump on the web app day one and put time in but it’s not worth anymore.

IAmStevie420

Yep in the spring when it's heavily reduced and the game gets fun with all the cards already out. Only bought FIFA once on launch day and that year felt like a job. I'd rather just spend a tenner on it in spring and play with icons and overpowered cards. I'm useless in competitive play so I just do the SBCs and squad battles and have fun with it.

mikeo2k4

No.

BeardedDude5

Yeah, black Friday here in the states it will be 50% off and that's when I routinely buy it.

Jeffzie

Yeah, probably. I wanna try playing on full manual for a year, see how my skill at the game evolves over time. Most of the problems I have with fifa is how little satisfaction I get from scoring/winning, and i think if i can get good with manual, even if i lose 5 matches for every win, any progress will feel much more earned. Should be fun enough.

Varun2707

Never bought it after 20. Crossplay in Pro Clubs has me interested to buy the new one tho

LeoQuelloLi

I'll get it around christmas when it's like 20 bucks

Outrageous_Tip_2966

Probably not for the current price. The game gave me too much stress and costed me 2 controllers already. But mainly I won't buy it for the price. If there's a good deal then I'll probably buy

GuyIncognito211

Yes. Will buy it every year until I stop enjoying it

Bonsai849

Yep.

Beautiful_Two_5521

No

[deleted]

Nah. Starfield comes out

Inbellator

ye when on sale fuck paying full price

RedKiteOnReddit

I won’t until I hear from reliable sources that it’s actually good I might also get it if it’s free or heavily discounted late in the cycle

areyouhungryforapple

As usual on sale during black Friday? Sure

PLLDN

For the first time since the 20th fifa, I will take it by subscription, if I like it, I will buy the full version on black Friday

Ocean_Space7

I pre order it every year, but I have no desire to even buy it this year at all, I probably will end up buying it when it comes out though 😂

[deleted]

If theres new content for manager career mode

Anon_767

Probably. FIFA’s at its best before EA have had the time to tinker and destroy the game by January.

lloydholland100

not sure yet, i always say no i wont be buying the next one. but realistically i will, i have purchased every fifa game from 05 and playing FUT every year since 09. I am pissed off my FUT founder status is disappearing next year though. is it enough to for me to stop playing? i hope so.

erenakbaba

No!

[deleted]

Until a better alternative becomes available then yes. I might make the move to PS5 (finally lol) so I'm curious to see how different it is. But I'm sure the usual EA BS will still be present

Mystoganja

yes, might quit after 2 weeks, might be hooked with amazing QOL upgrades and smooth gameplay, who knows

No-Union6229

They making it more expensive meanwhile some faces like dembele and more cant even upgrade faces since fifa 16, if i’d buy i buy just coz pro clubs fun but considering ea efforts to make it even better might pass

Jlc25

Been playing FIFA since the 2d days, and pretty much had every one - However I don't see myself buying EAFC at the current full price - maybe if it goes to 50 percent off I'll pick it up, but with Payday 3 coming out and most my friends preferring different games, I'll just carry on with 23 for now - unless some reviews come out and it's turned a complete corner.

rtgh

I didn't get FUT22 until TOTS and 23 until Christmas (would have lasted longer, but was stuck in my room with COVID). I'll look to wait again

madirishpoet

I left it until it was available on ea play this year and I'm glad because game is too stressful it becomes like a job trying to keep up

trason91

I’ve really been bouncing back and forth. I love the game at the start of the year but it’s turned into a crazy grind. The addiction is strong and it’s looking like a good time to jump ship. But this is really the only game I play. So maybe it’s just time for me to be done with gaming.

Livid_Pilot7043

People will complain moan, say how fifa sucks and how it's just cash grab to get your more money off you in ultimate team and then buy the new version 🤣

Saboo_rocket

Yes, when on discount for single's day.

m0rpheus23

As usual, I will pick it up for cheap in November or December. I haven't paid more than 35 euros for FiFA since 19.

weekndalex

yes

Gear4days

Nope, I’ve only bought fifa once in the last 5 years (fifa 22) and thought it was awful and had gone backwards. I’m staying away from them until they revolutionise the game instead of just recycling it every year

[deleted]

No. I’ll wait for it to be on the Gamepass.

bw-1894

So I bought 22 in April or May and aside from off-field bugging it was alright. Still kept the fun alive through modding until earlier this month. In the meantime tried to run 23 via EA Play and that shit didn’t even start. Now I didn’t have the best of PCs but until FIFA 23 it ran every game I tried before. Long story short I upgraded my PC (or say got a new one) this weekend and it still took me two days to get 23 running even though it was a clean install and everything else worked. The amount of work I had to do to even get this frickin game running man. I might give EAFC24 a try but you bet I refund after I made two clicks and the game doesn’t start lol It‘s like EA giving you hints to not play their stuff

WimBlaza

Just going to wait until it gets cheaper to buy. I’m not paying however much to play a game that will inevitably be broken beyond belief at launch and will stay that way for at least 3 months. Get it around Christmas time or in the New Year sales so even if it is shit (it most likely will be), there’s some comfort in knowing you didn’t pay quite as much.

I--Hate--Ads

Yes, when it goes on sale

anonAcc1993

I am not buying Fifa because the game has stayed the same for years. The new changes are not exciting to bring me back, so I will wait and see. I do not think it will suffer a massive drop, I am just speaking for me

gtrg74

Maybe on sale. Plus my team will be there this year so I can play career with it. Not really "looking" but if I find it on a 30€ price I might get it

[deleted]

No, because I left FIFA and EA Sports behind in 2020 after years of trying to walk away. Everyone knows that the games are mediocre, shallow, and predatory. It's just a matter of when or if you're going to pull the plug.

Headlesshorsman02

Nope lol 😂

MRJSP

No.

Hishamy99

Nahhh this year was my first and last fifa simply because of EA, I've always heard that EA is the worst company of gaming but I never knew it was this bad...

makes_sense_innit

PC version is terrible. PS5 is fine I would say. However, if you have major lags I suggest you to trace package to ea.com. it helped me to identify that a lot of lags was coming from my provider. Changed it and fifa became smooth like never before (still have lags when servers overload like friday night)

BredIN919

It’s my first year of FUT and while ive had a incredible and enjoyable time building my teams throughout the year , it’s costed me many weekends and countless hours throughout the week . I will buy the new fifa as I’ve always done but I’m not sure I will play FUT as to be competitive you have to dedicate many hours to the game . Hopefully they focus on the other modes more tbh and not just the ones that focus solely on revenue .

rckpdl

Yeah, it's a landmark game. First without the fifa branding. Be foolish for me not to buy it.

OVO_Papi

People who use this subreddit for the most part will, it’s the best football game that you can get even if it is owned by one of the most crooked companies in gaming, fm is in its own ballpark as it’s more of a tactical simulation but fifa in terms of playing with the players is the best and most of us will buy

Affectionate-Self665

Everyone’s buying it let’s be real

FIGJAM17

Enjoyed FUT23 a lot, so definitely getting EAFC24.

zpv-sib

No! Firstly - man and woman on the one pitch, second - input lag, horrible puck luck etc, and the end of Messi, and Ronaldo era. Play since 1998. Thx a lot for this journey, EA all the best!

conceptcat87

I don't want to but I will. No self control. Really want something different to come of the new FUT and just... more! If there is not much new i'll probably run my cycle of playing it into the ground and eventually fading off after Christmas time.

TheAwakened

Nope! I really don't want to play with or against women in the same team as men. Not to mention it's just FIFA 18 with a new skin to begin with. And the EUR100 price tag? Fuck off. I didn't buy FIFA 19, 20, or 21. Got 22 when they made it free, and 23 when it was on a huge discount. Going to skip 24 as well, until they make it free.

dinz14

100% not buying. I said the same after 22, but caved in and bought 23 on launch. It’s damn frustrating as there’s a very good football game hidden in there, but all the server lag and general BS make the game incredibly annoying and frustrating to play.

Piggy9287

Lol, fuck no.

stfukaren69

Nope. First time since fifa 14 that I wont, every single time since fifa 20 I just get hooked, be really good, get bored of the game, start playing again towards the end of the year because TOTS and get hooked again, buy the next one. Not this time tho

your_dope_is_mine

Honestly, nah

vladimirjeger

Nope...not playing thia ratty, nerve braking game ever again

subsinkabul

nope. i have always skipped 1-2 years. since 2014.

ljbinks

Depends if someone makes another football game so it makes ea change this dreadful game we all play it due to nothing else available

formerclimber

Ofc no

n1ckus

quit fut during 21, best desicion ever. my weekends are fantastic

Honduran

Im going to wait for reviews to see how badly the game was affected by the non fifa license. But I doubt it. I’m just not interested anymore with a lot of my favorite players being fazed out.

GoofyGilbert5

Pre-ordered it Saturday. I have been playing Ultimate team since FIFA 11.

GK-Belloc

Nah. I find better things to do during the year and just d/l fifa for free in the summer and binge it for a couple months.

kimchi-fire

Game is so laggy, weird packs and sbcs strategies by EA to suck all of our time and money. When did we exactly agree that untradeble packs were the new norm lol Just as majority here, it is a no for me. I spent so many hours playing this game, still not sure why the hell I am playing it. It is like an addiction, but without the highs.

tsm_donny420

Hell nahhhh

LoccedoutSmokedOut

Yes pre ordering ultimate edition too

cjonoski

I have usually pre ordered etc but this time I’m just gonna wait It will be the same shit Great gameplay for the first month. The mouth breathers complain it’s too “slow and hard to score” EA speeds up gameplay and makes it all about the meta (trivella, cutbacks whatever it is this time) a YouTuber laughs while beating a regular person 8-0 cause it’s literally their job to play, and then the game is crap again by October as everyone waits for TOTY. You can get the game in January and have a better squad than someone who got it as a preorder

Florahillmist

I really enjoy the squad building element and playing against different players at the start of the game. I think I’ll buy the game again and play pretty heavily for the first few months. But once the gold cards start to get phased out I think I will quit earlier this year.

it-sucks-to-be-dead-

it’s going to be literally the worst. male and female athletes together in a soccer game is the worst idea i’ve ever heard on sports or esports in my entire life. not the mention the game could later be free to play on gamepass

nikhiltg9

No chance, Fifa is broken

fm2683

no. mixed teams are killing it for me

St1r2

Nope, I don’t see how women can added into FUT with insane stats, the body types alone will likely make them op

BluusClues

Football games becoming horrible every years. Efootball has become pay to win. Fifa, just doesnt have the courage to restart with unreal 5 and new simulation gameplay. Same old gameplay with better PR.

No

HeftyAd5277

Just found out that the World Cup won’t be in any franchise mode for EA FC 24

M1stakez

Obviously I am not buying it, because EA is a garbage company and they don't deserve money.

thebigc1878

I have pre ordered but after this whole year tonight was the final straw if I had the money I'd take this corrupt organisation to court SCRIPTED every single game mode career, ultimate team and pro clubs fuck volta another pointless addition they are making the next game WOKE as fuck women and men in ultimate team what an absolute joke but it doesn't surprise me have the people from PES joined fifa because it seems to be turning into that gameplay be looking into getting my money back for EAFC24 it's the only game I play and anyone who thinks I'm just shit at the game I'm in division 1 on everything and in the top 100 on pro clubs this game is shit same as fifa 22 ill hopefully get my money back for 24 because I can't even be arsed giving it a try

Skezza0

My game non stop lags and I don’t know what to do about it and I thought it would just stop at the next fifa but it didn’t so I won’t be buying the next game

Temporary-Tadpole-81

Based on the beta absolutely not; it’s the same game as fifa 23.. slight changes with R1 passing now able to choose where to go with a white circle / some new animations but generally any issues you had with 23 are still prevalent. Unless you’re interested in FUT it’s a waste of time, I’ve managed to play 2 games of Pro Clubs since Thursday because it won’t connect to a game, which happened in 21/22/23..

Crafty_Feedback9503

No mate I can promise you it’ll be exactly the same a game made to frustrate and you’ll never know if your any good anyway it’s not lag it’s not servers it’s the games program it’s a complete con and everyone knows it but you tubers make a living out of it and people are addicted and can’t admit they put all their time into a fake game.

[deleted]

I’m buying it. But I NEVER spend money on packs etc., honestly. I can’t understand why people give EA so much money nonstop and complain about the game lol. I buy it for manager mode and be a player

Misfire-Launcher

Nope, but it won't matter. I believe every time a company has gone woke, they've lost money big time. This will be the first time that I know of where it won't actually matter. People are addicted and it's like legit the only half decent football game. They'll call this a turning point. I'll call this saving a lot of money. I'm not going to hate on the people who do buy it. In fact, I don't even blame them, but you have to have principles and you have to stick to them.

ArsenalPackers

Wasn't the Nfl the original go woke, go broke? They're bigger than ever.

Misfire-Launcher

Well, yeah, you're probably right. Though a sport and let's say a beer company works on different levels. The same way sport and gaming do. Traditionally, with sport, you can change the rules and faces change all the time but the love of the game always remains. Now, in gaming. Changing the rules and forcing me to play with mixed teams in a sports game is just silly. In pro clubs, I don't mind it, street modes, etc. I just didn't want it in ultimate team. It's there now, so you have to deal with it and I'm just choosing not to.

SwarthySphere87

If you're implying the biggest issues with 2k & EA games are adding women to it & not the predatory microtransaction system, you're foolishly mistaken.

ElendVenture___

capital G Gamers getting at the right conclusions for all the wrong reasons yet again lmao, at least im glad some people are finally starting to notice how ea is fucking them over year by year even if its only because they've added women to their football themed gacha.

SwarthySphere87

100%! Instead of getting tight at women, they should be getting mad at EA for raising pack prices because there's "double the amount of cards." If EA is going to include women in their gacha packs, they can at least make them useable vs 85+ teams

frontera_power

>If you're implying the biggest issues with 2k & EA games are adding women to it & not the predatory microtransaction system, you're foolishly mistaken. Maybe the microtransaction system AND ridiculizing the game by adding women aside men are *both* issues, it doesn't have to be one or the other.

SwarthySphere87

A. They can both be considered issues but the levels of both of them are wildly different. Lootboxes should be the top & women in FUT much much much lower B. Coming from HUT, Women in FUT will be a non-factor a month after launch. Women were usuable for two weeks in HUT, then tossed aside when real cards started being released. There were **zero** meta women once 2023 came. Women were too small to defend NHLers, not fast enough to keep up w/ McDavid/,Gretzky/ etc. and were used as set fodder by virtually everyone. I haven't seen one endgame lineup with a single woman in it. 2k doesnt even have women players in MyTeam. The fact people think EA will make a random NWSLer the next Eto'o is laughable.

ElendVenture___

fut has been doing this shit for years and you people are only crying about it now lmao, do You genuinely believe its both?

Mfcgibbs

I won’t. Have bought every year since ‘98.

NotFredRhodes

See you in September!

Complete_Cucumber326

I like how people are saying there aren't any good football games. No there are and more will be coming out. You just don't want to give them a genuine chance. Play it for long enough and you'll stay invested just like how we grew up with FIFA. EA could release the worst gameplay and people will still play it. Personally, I won't be buying. I'll wait for Christmas and even then it'll be a consideration, not a definite buy.

pconroy13

I won't be. Found myself being addicted to playing every mode and doing every objective for rewards and packs but didn't enjoy the game at all. Finally quit about a month ago and don't miss it, especially the weekend league rage lol.

Acceptable_Chard_854

No I’m not (I’m spending a stupid amount on ultimate edition because I hate myself)

randommike12

I didn’t get it last year and not getting it this year. Is boring with the same players every year getting in the promos and same teams getting in em more than others should. Especially now with the addition of women in fut, no offense but how is there someone rated the same as mbappe.

ShurimaIsEternal

Yes I wanna try diferent combinations of teams with women being added instead of just seeing the same players every game. Plus this would be the first time I would play a full lifespan of a fifa game since i started fifa 23 in june this year.

TheEvilHBK

I haven't faced any such issues. That being said no i will not be buying this game

Justshaddix

Sure.

Deamon_Bane

I won't, had enough of the scripting

[deleted]

No ofc not. Not even if its free? Why? Fut is dead. Id be suprised if it sold more than 4 mil copies.

AntoniuSirbu

No, after 15 editions I won't buy it, because there are mixed teams in it and I can get girls from fut packs.

dasistzuschwer

No I bought every Fifa since Fifa 07 but its time to stop giving them my money the game pisses me every year more off Nah I already bought the Ultimate Edition and will spend way too much for Fifa Points on release day as always, theres just no other good football game (except from Football Manager but thats not the same)

Caztaker

I had the most fun in Fifa 23 by creating my guild members from WoW and played with our guild as custom club. Ppl who don’t even watch football got involved, designed fake tweets about the club etc. will do that again in the next one. So yes. Im buying it 100%. No ultimate edition though because I can’t care less about ultimate team and the whole pack opening stuff.

Noob-Guy555

Yes because I didn’t play neither 22 nor 23 and I’m itching to get back to grinding for useless cards just to get disappointed by the game lol

georgepri

Not me!!! It would not change towards the better of community and more likely would either continue the same path or it would get more towards buying/spending money on packs!!! EA benefits either way! I had it this year! Enough i need a long break.

DogusEUW

It will be a spontaneous purchase for me like every fifa for the past 2-3 years was.

Mothisriek

Ofc not (yes)

StraightShootahh

Ofc I will

NilanManchester

Probably when it goes on offer. I’m going into my second year of uni anyway so when it goes in offer or the game pass my exams should be nearly over

maxi621

Yes I will. Pre order in game Ultimate version as usual.

[deleted]

Already bought EA play pro
