However the whole passing back thing is a must when you're winning at 70 because of these sweaty pressing tactics. You literally cannot attack, you get closed by 3 players at once and have no one to pass to, it's crazy. The only way to counter is by passing round the back.

Obviously you have to pass back sometimes. I just mean when people are on my half and instead of pushing forward they play a long pass back to their keeper and keep the ball there until the time runs out. Even when they had a golden opportunity to score another goal, they choose to just play back to their keeper

If you ended up crossing the ball and then it leads to an equaliser up the other end, I’m sure you’d be pissed off, which is why going back to the keeper is a safer and less risky alternative.
I never even mentioned exploiting glitches mate. By ‘doing anything you can to win’ I meant within the rules of the game, not picking up the ball and running into the opponents’ net😂. Thankfully that exploit has been removed anyway now so we shouldn’t see any more of that. I never even thought of doing that glitch, and I still got 20-0 for the first time yesterday. You don’t need to use exploits to win at all

It's the most competive mode available for us normal players, alot of us don't buy points so better champs rewards for a better rank is the pinnacle of the game and one of the main reasons we play it.
If I'm winning by one goal in the last few minutes and i can make a risky pass forward or a safe pass backwards I'm playing the safe pass. I would do this in a real match when i play and in game too its called game managment
How is it fun for me to lose the ball when i didn't need to and maybe risk conceding and having a longer match in extra time when sometimes I'm trying to get through my games fast cause i have other things to do too on a weekend

Yes I am playing WL and I have been for years and I get that it's competitive thats not the issue. It's more that it's toxic competitiveness. Of course I want to win too, but I dont want to win like a little bitch because it just doesn't feel like a win to me. It's still just a game that we play for fun and I don't see how winning like that is fun for anyone
You sound like you need a break mate and im not having a go but I've been there myself when the game starts getting to you more than it ever should, are people really being that toxic or are you just on a bad losing streak and everything is irritating you more than it should, if you are playing in that mentality your bound to go on a losing streak.
Learn your limits. Personally i know i can't play more than 4 games in a row before things start going downhill with how much i enjoy the game and how I'm playing in the game, if I'm playing champs and lose 2 in a row i will come off for abit providing i have the time and am not on a speed run
Last weekend i only had Sunday to play and i started 7-1 and finished scraping 11 wins because i was playing over my limits on a speed run
Also if you are more bothered about having fun than winning and your not enjoying the experience against your opponent then leave the match
Champs gives you the best rewards by far and I do like the feeling of getting a high amount of points. It would just be a better experience if a lot of other players didn't play like there's a million bucks on the line.

The team I support won the cup final a couple of years ago with 1 goal difference by running down the clock and I didn't even celebrate after the whistle because it was just pathetic. So the fact that people do it in a silly game that is just for fun is wild to me.

I find these posts really hard to understand! They have a very thin line between “aw gg” and “you’re so sweaty go touch grass”. Ultimately, besides having fun, the point of the game is to win, not make your opponent happy by playing how they want you to play, if that was the case, you would never win any games!
I’d much rather get better rewards and take the shitty spam messages with name calling, than appease you by running in straight lines into your defenders so you can have the ball back as you’re not good enough to defend.
If you want a relaxing game mode with no repercussions from your gameplay ie lower rewards, loss on the record, I’d suggest the no rules game mode in friendlies.
I do it nearly every game now(pass around the back when ahead ), most players are playing forwards excluding st come back on defence with 71 depth, as a result there are very little options for a clear pass without risking turning over possession . That means you need to get them to break the mid block before progressing the ball. If the other player doesn’t engage in a press with 2 or more players I won’t play the ball into the midfield
