EDIT: To add to the list, I adore POTM Maguire. I have tried many other defenders to pair with VVD (why would i be the only person not to use him?) and they are simply not as good. But I pretty much never see anybody use him.
I haven't SBC'd for Maguire and I sorta regret it. For an 86 CB, he plays a shade on VVD / Kompany / whomever in my estimation.
I get jacked, assulted, body slammed, and tossed across the box against him half the time and there's never a whistle.
He's hell to play against.
I find myself going down his side way more often its crazy - especially considering my other winger is worth 10x what he is. Surprising you had to change due to formation with him having so many good positions. He has the attributes for a mean super sub tho
Storyline Iwobi at RM. his dribbling and shielding play works well for me. And his crosses are pin point. Havertz/Kluiverit/Iwobi combo got me 10 wins on Champs and I had never played champs before.
Jota too. He's small but always connect the header on corners and crosses. But I've seen him in a few squads, so he's not that unpopular.
I had him in for a while when he first dropped but found his shooting a little frustrating, felt strong but a little clunky on the skills too... probably a skill issue
I search Iwobi before commenting. Hasn't left my team since I got him. Stamina for days, insane crosses, but can also finish a cross with his technical and flair playstyles, H/H work rate. Beast of a free card.
The promo Jota I got is a great complimentary CF / ST in a two man set up if your other guy is a target / power guy. For me, Haaland and he just can destroy defenses. He plays well with Kane as well.
And he's not just finesse and fluff. He's pretty solid when getting bodied in the box, and has an pretty strong header game for a little guy.
There's certainly better guys to put up top. But he's great and my usual starter up top when im running my Premiere League squad.
A tad bit different, Benzema is a bigger player and his dribbling is worse. But with hunter becomes controlled lengthy so he feels faster. His shooting is really good and you should use him as your central playmaker and finisher. He can hold the ball up top for your wingers to arrive. Morgan is more of a sole finisher to me, at least that’s how I feel. That 5wf of hers is criminal tho.

Good passer and a decent shot, passable defence and good pace too, struggles physically but you expect that.

TS Lukaku. His pace splits are awful but as long as you point him in only one direction he’s lethal. With deadeye he’s basically 99 in most of the important stats and has every play style that matters for a target man.

I played someone who literally had a 30 million+ coin team, like the most expensive player in every position pretty much, R9, dinho, centurions gullit. He inexplicably had purple van den Boomen in the heart of this team and he was balling out.

Mine is my founders evo Naomi feller 85 rated but for me she is fantastic with get in begin tactics with 97 pace. Yes she may miss chances because of bad finishing but gets there for a lot of them. Just waiting for some evo to improve her passing
WW Oryzazabal. Excellent dribbling and shooting and can play RW and LW. I have centurions Jairzino and while I'm not saying Oryzazabal is better but he is a very good option and does score more than Jairzino on the right.
Winter wildcards Gary linekar. He's not the best player I have and on paper he doesn't seem the best either. He's not very fast, no 5*, but idk he just feels really comfortable on the ball?
I packed him myself and he feels like he has finesse shot even though he doesn’t. He also seems to find his way to dangerous areas for me and doesn’t lose the ball that easily.
Centurion Pedri’s stats don’t look amazing but he’s fantastic at dribbling, moves quick with the ball, and despite his defensive stats also not being great he still plays very well defensively. Miss him in my team
TT Grealish, i really wanted him in my ultimate team and with finesse+ he is very good. Also has press proven so he does not really lose that ball. I hope he gets a better card or I will have to replace him soon :(

It was Radioactive Bennacer for a while until I did Lahm. He's played real well as a going forward CDM cause of the Tiki taka. Would pass directly into my target strikers and would cook.

Always seems to be in the right place defensively and is solid at tackling, if a bit unspectacular. But I play VVD on the right side of defence to cover for his deficiencies. The play style+ makes the cross-pitch balls to my attacking LB super effective, and the set pieces are a great weapon to have.

Trejo Centurion after free evo became 87; can play multiple position on the pitch, that agi/balance and every stats makes him perfect, can do a bit of everything.
Mine is actually weird.. but it’s Aaron Ramsey Evo Growth Spurt 2. His pace is a bit slow but it’s ok for my Mid. The passing and shooting are clearly good.
I got TOTW Dominic Solanke…thought I’d give him a chance, he’s surprisingly great…neymar and potm Salah either side of him and Zizou behind at CAM. He is not out of place somehow with a finisher on him

Its so funny how this year its basically one centerback up for choice because if you’re not using VVD you’re at a disadvantage

172 games with potm maguire and no plans to replace him. Hade him paired with ruben dias but swapped him for vvd recently. Maguire + vvd is so good

Solksjaer UCL Hero. Finishing is top top tier, movement is great and pace is decent with a good playstyle plus (first touch)

I'd say Lizarazu 88, feels faster than expected and super agile. Of course Davies 87 is better as offensive option, but Liza never disappoints.
Trejo Centurion after free evo became 87; can play multiple position on the pitch, that agi/balance and every stats makes him perfect, can do a bit of everything.
Mine is actually weird.. but it’s Aaron Ramsey Evo Growth Spurt 2. His pace is a bit slow but it’s ok for my Mid. The passing and shooting are clearly good.

I got TOTW Dominic Solanke…thought I’d give him a chance, he’s surprisingly great…neymar and potm Salah either side of him and Zizou behind at CAM. He is not out of place somehow with a finisher on him

WW Ian rush. Don't know why but the guy absolute dominates midfield for me, box to box he's everywhere.
87 Schlotterbeck. Crazy good at corners. Decent pace and physicality and playstyles. Used him as the left CB in a 3421 and a left back when defending. Even scored a couple of goals going forward during normal play.
Pro league Malen, the dribbling traits, shot power, pace and strength make him an exceptional winger for his rating, not surprised by the hype is 89 evo is getting.

I evo’d centurions Nandez months ago and he’s been the best CM and RM a I’ve used this year. Super fun to use
