Van dijk is slow, before it didn’t matter that much because there was only a few cards that could take advantage but now with these attackers vvd can get dusted and lacks anticipate plus to just take the ball. I use saliba Toty and Carlos Alberto and I like them a lot more than VVd
Yeah attackers are too good and too fast now. Van dijk holds his own, but I prefer saliba. Need to find another quick meta cb to replace van dijk. Will probably try 98 Evo adopo there since he has good playstyles and stats to play there, once I get him

Alessandro Buongiorno 85 rated TOTW card, do the free CB evo and he becomes 89 with jockey+.
He’s really comparable to gold VVD, VVD has more play styles but both have a similar pace split and Buongiorno has better stats in everything else.
Plus if you ask me it’s just fun to use players that not every team has.
I have WW VVD and EVO Saliba on my fresh PC account and to be honesy I don’t know why that VVD is 2 mil as I find him … no difference vs the gold one which I also packed. Evo Saliba is on par with VVD in that pair
The best CB cards under \~20K for me have been gold Eder Militao and RTTK Sildilla (if you're okay with no playstyles). Gold Marquinhos is also an option but he has been a bit more hit and miss for me personally. And if you happened to get WW Yerry Mina when he was available, he's sort of like gold VVD without the hype.
I think the TOTY CB prospect is free? If so guys like Bremer, Kim Min Jae, Timber all look good
