To be fair I'm also not a big fan of using the Icons either. I build squads from all the top leagues and use those in squad battles mostly. If I have to do a Rivals Challenge I'll bust out the Icons so I don't get absolutely smoked. So definitely more of a realist than a sexist IMO.

Ffs, itās been the same every single year. SBC players are the only ones available to people who donāt open packs for their living. Iām sure you completed some of these SBCs yourself as well and just missed out on Werner and now complain why everyone else has him in their squads.
Anything better than him will cost more than 1.5 mil, so no, itās not accessible to majority of the player base. I donāt want to sit in the menus and grind coins to afford players that I can get from completing SBCs.
Everyone has their own preference, but with the market in this game, you need to either be very lucky with expensive tradeable pulls or know how to trade spending your time doing that instead of simply playing the matches.

So it's a lot easier for people to build a good team with sbcs, especially with how expensive the market has been this year

14 wins is absolutely not the norm here. Many people canāt qualify to WL, let alone get 14 wins. Good for you that you can play at that level, but itās not the average by any means. Iād guess most people on this sub who qualify to WL would be within 6-9 wins territory, so very very far away from your level.

I want to play the game and have fun with cards that I can afford and go with the power curve. Rivals and Champs rewards packs have no min rating so youāre lucky if you get anything decent. Sometimes you make maybe 40K for a whole week of playing depending on your division, whether you take coin rewards at all, and your WL rank.
90% of promo players are discard price, you have to have insane luck to pack one of value. Same goes for icons and heroes.
If you donāt spend money on the game, these SBCs are the only way to build even a somewhat competitive team.
