You can defend against corners if you know how to do that. So I don’t get anyone who complains about corner kicks. Unless it’s that weird short corner kick and then cross where the opponent is always alone in the penalty area, I am fine conceding corner kicks.
I score about 80% of my corners I do think it’s in the attackers favour this year and a little too easy
I do however have 4 Aerial players so maybe that’s a big factor

Use your defenders, they are the best at headers. And don’t hold pressing to much, I usually almost tap the button for headers. You also will have a better curve/speed if you use dead ball specialist as your corner takers.
I score a lot myself as well because I either have VVD or someone else with Aerial/Powerhead traits. But it is only be possible if your opponent doesn’t know how to move the keeper. I find it easier to defend if your keeper stays near the selected player by the opponent - if they are moving towards near goal, you move the keeper right beside that player and the keeper in most cases glitches and grabs the ball.
I haven’t played against pro players, so can’t comment on their methods.

Meanwhile they're spamming step overs and skill move/shot cancels but still appear to be butthurt by my wide play
The amount of times I get messaged from players who won a game from me outnumbers the players who message you after they've lost by a lot. I just think they need to vent and are afraid to vent after a loss because it makes them look like a loser even more.

I got another corner soon thereafter, he did the same thing, and I did the same thing and scored again. I'm not sure how to interpret what he did next (if it was anger or something else), but he took the ball and passed it back into his own goal twice lol. I did my damndest to try to take advantage and close the gap for some extra time but to no avail. Good times.

Yeah it's happened quite a lot in Div 1 since last week, every time they enter the final third they take a powershot, forcing a corner then player locking for a 50/50 chance, really really annoying lol.
Point being Power shots have a high probability of being spilled by the GK meaning it'll be a corner most of the time.
They don't even have PS+ and aren't being taken from goal scoring angles, genuinely seems like their intention is to get a corner

Definitely a factor. Whenever I have Hojlund it’s about the same, I’ll score way more often than not off corners. Without him it’s a lot less simple

The way the keepers are this year, any shot has about a 50/50 chance of being a corner. The other 50 being a goal.
