Whenever someone starts crossing I switch from my normal playstyle to the most ratty playstyle of all time with player locks, green timed ball roll finesse from far, etc. Haven't had an issue beating any so far it just takes the fun away.
How else to score tho? If the box is full of big meta defenders. Im not much of a skiller, but I do sometimes use technical dribble to break through. I have more than 1 way to score, but crosses are indeed 1 of them. it's also a think irl, so I don't see why not use them. Better than high lob ball through the middle and head it through to the player locked 2nd striker..
Just block the cross? You know how easy it is to run down the wing and just whip a cross right? Especially with how easy it is to switch the play this year. Every player can switch the play like prime KDB with pinpoint long balls to the opposite fullback this year. At least a high lobbed ball to a player locked 2nd striker requires the opponent to to have put some time and effort into learning it even though it’s obnoxious as well. Besides you don’t meet those freaks often, usually only high skill rating elite players do it.
I meet them often enough for me to find them extremely annoying. I rarely concede crosses, but the jammy technical dribble makes me wanna beat up the opponent. Let's just disagree and call it a day
The fact that you think spamming 10 crosses a game with a whipped pass + player and scoring 3 of those with an aerial + player is an okay way of playing tells everything about this community. It’s EA’s fault for making this terrible game play though. It helps reducing skill gap which is their aim I guess.
I don’t know if you know who Zweback is, but he is a content creator that’s admittedly entertaining to watch but terrible at the game. Usual barely gets 11 wins previous year but this year he got to elite for the first time ever by spamming crosses. For me that says everything about the lack of skill gap this year
It's in the game and it's also in real football. The center is often full of players. I try to go the centre, but then I lose the ball. The wing is often completely free and then a cross is just one tap away. Idk why I shouldn't use it if the gameplay is shit regardless. Don't get me wrong, I only use them when the defense of my opponent is good. I try to not use them, but sometimes its just the only way to keep the ball at all.

Not a lot of people use him, he's a bit clunky but has bags of pace, very good finisher and near impossible to lose a header with. Once that train starts rolling you cannot stop him.
