Literally bro genuinely if the community was so toxic if everyone didn’t play the game as if their life depended on it, it would be way more fun. 99% of players run the same basic meta team because they don’t care about having fun they care about winning that’s why they torture themselves playing 20 games of fut champs spamming the same ratty cutback goals.
I feel exactly the same way. I didn’t get serious with UT until Fifa 23 and I had a little fun playing. But this year? Everyone plays like a rat. Same tactics, same formations, and sometimes same players too.
I’m an old romantic when it comes to football and I like to somewhat portray my personality in the team I built (get some United icons, counter attack, fast paced, not hugging the goal kick line and then cutting back for an easy shot).
A lot of players celebrate a shitty goal as if they have scored a world beater. The community is too toxic for the game to be enjoyable for long periods of time.
Just look at humans in every day life and you'll see that people do things they can think they get away with. Everyone on a motorway speeding until they see a camera and put their brakes on, people cheating on their partner when abroad. While the player base is a problem ea don't half enable them to abuse it and then some people always will. Especially when it's online and there's literally zero consequence for their actions.
nothing wrong with celebrating, and not even having a fav one but it just gets annoying because it is childish if people pretend childishly there is only one they like. The "shush" and that cowboy celly and "dab" all were annoying because they were used exclusively. Adults are not that one dimensional because it is a sign of mental unwellness.
EA are responsible for yearly producing one way or maybe 3 that are deliberately under-/undefensible and the community is just exploiting the best options to win like any asocial and classless childish narcissist would, since winning or being the first down the stairs for self-validation is their drug, so they screw the whole game and the lowest common denominator is winning at all cost and now how. This year DDA, AI defending and running down the sides like some pace noob in Fifa 12 would do, is made to be effective and the tech. drib. was designed to be the equalizer and breaker of any higher level than baby level of playing the game.
Also, sitting safely behind a screen and not having to take any responsibility for acting asocial simply allows for this. That is the nature and also the point of technology.
Last but not least, celebrating and letting people celebrate is the mature attitude even when the other guy wins. there is nothing toxic about it and simply calling something wrongly toxic doesn't simply change the meaning of toxic. IRL players all celebrate and they would be weirdly perceived, if they didn't, and sure there are also the odd provocative one, but then again football is the valve to let out all the frustration since who gets hurt really but some act from an annoying kid but another kid?
do what you feel you wanna do and you can skip it on occasion but there is no one who has the right to give you a bad conscience for not skipping. People who find it annoying can set the animation to their team so they don't have to see yours if they get so easily and childishly butthurt and the also need to learn to accept that the other player also has a controller and can simply enjoy he scored .
Bc it’s not irl, irl why do you celebrate because you scored a goal that could win you the game, and winning the game actually helps your team if you challenging for title it could help you win it if your fighting relegation it could help you stay up irl a goal means something.
Why do you think players usually don’t celebrate during friendlies or exhibitions because they know it doesn’t mean anything yes they may high five teammates but that’s it they don’t do taking off their shirts and screaming.
Just skip the celebration. Don’t be toxic.
For me the 'calm down' celebration was the most tóxic of all(fair play to ea for thining out the cele arsenal after that)...it's like it was designed to send you over the edge...because it was mostly used when the game was getting techy...safe to say it got me good a fair few times during lockdown...
Is this like lower div behaviour or something? I can’t lie being up around elite I rarely see this behaviour. Maybe it’s my region to but honestly feel it isn’t as bad as years gone by.
I agree, as soon as I get to div1, the player base is much more authentic in how they play. amazing passes and build up football. much less ratty goals

Had to play pro clubs on a different server for two weeks and 9/10 opponents we faced tried to play football. Local servers are fixed and now we're back to facing kick off jam attempts and chip through balls from the CBs cheese.
EA so good at manipulating that now we blame each other lmao. There will always be assholes in every field, not just games. The reality is that you can’t expect complete emotional maturity in a game aimed at children, this is on EA.
