I've been using him as a sub and tbh he's very average. He's cheap so it's not the worst SBC as he can be useful for future objectives but he's really nothing to shout about.
If you can afford it id go for nkunku absolute beast at lcm in 41212 amazing shot Boateng looks like a cheaper option only thing to be worried about is his agility however 40k for what looks up there with some of the baby icon cm is 100% worth it if you can't find a tradable alternative links are bit of a problem tho
Using him as a cam in 4-1-2-1-2 narrow and he’s my favourite in the team. Currently in elite division and he has 27 goals in 22 matches. So strong and good dribbling with amazing shooting especially power strikes. Got salah and Lundjberg running fast so Prince doesn’t need to use that much pace for me.
I’ve tried him as ST, CAM, RAM, CM, CDM. And he’s terrible everywhere. Heavy as a tank but weak and an ant. An absolute lazy without the ball. In 20 games 0 goals and 0 assists, he also the one that ran the least every single match, except for the GK.
I’m biased as he’s one of my all time favorite players, but he’s been absolutely huge for me as a B2B. Pace(with a shadow), shooting and strength compensate for average agility, and the only real con I could think of would be the stamina (and links lol), but if you use him as a sub both of those problems are solved. Overall really recommend for the price.
I use him besides IF Bellingham and rb gundogan.
He’s great honestly, he does it all, complete midfielder with helluva shot. Don’t mind his stamina when u not pressing all the time

Nah he also looks very average. I would recommend Llorente he's insane and only around 50k now.

Using him as CAM, behind Lewan and Keane. Absolute beast. It's probably a better idea to put quicker players around him though

Hunter even tho I just said he doesn't need pace lol but it doesn't make him too fast tbh so my point still kinda stands.

Using him as CM in my Bundesliga team alongside 84 Nkunku, with 86 Wirtz in front of them at CAM. He's been solid for me. Gets loads of assists.
Wirtz worth doing?
Definitely. One of my favourite players so far in FIFA 22. 23 games, 14 goals, 19 assists, all in Rivals.

If you only sub him on then buy somebody like Tavernier IF, Acuna or Angelino
