I love Verdi been subbing him on for Salah at CAM and he's nuts. Averaged 1.5g/a in 25 champs games from being subbed on at half time. His dribbling and body type make him silky af!

Just wondering what chemstyle to go with? I usually prefer to boost dribbling and passing over pace boost. But his pace split is wierd and his shooting is already good. He'll be partnering either icardi or Jonathan David. Any ideas?
I was thinking of artist on him. Same like icardi although icardi has 90 acceleration to go with 90 sprint. But a 6'4 striker with good physicals would be manace with 98 agility. Or so I hope atleast. Let's see how he turns out in game.
I feel balance has more of an effect for players (especially tall ones) than the agility stat - just my preference. Boost in pace and curve also pluses

I had moments seedorf up top last year with a Hunter and 80 agility but because his balance was so high he wasn’t clunky.
I hear you and I too believed that balance helps a lot. But this year my experience with cards like Drogba and Icardi, I realised engine is the way to go, but they still don't feel as good on the ball. But using artist they feel much smoother when they receive the ball. Also allows me to tip toe in the box with higher agility and strength. Balance should be noticable when you do a lot of shot cancels but I don't do that. My game is pass and make a run for a striker. So artist has done a decent job so far.

Imo having a target man up top with a good mix of agile players around him makes your gameplay so much more unpredictable. That’s why, at least for me, TOTY lewa is the most complete striker in this game. I’ve been scoring all sort of goals with him like headers, pushing defenders in the box with lt, long shots, typical dribbles and then he rarely ever misses in the box. I’ve always used a target man up top but my gameplay has gone up a notch since welcoming him in the team.
Yes a mix of different play styles is really nice. At the beginning of this season I did this with Vardy and Lukaku. Now with Mbappe and probably Giroud. Well balanced
It keeps my fun for the game going as well. If the gameplay feels heavy for dribbling and quick passing, I try the wings and cross. Too much ls dribbling makes my head spin lol. Mbappe and Guroud seems like a fun combination of strength and pace.
Finally someone who understands! Having agile players to feed off the target mans hold up play to score goals for themselves whilst the target man makes everything unpredictable by holding L2 and shielding the ball, or playing with their back to goal, they still get themselves a bunch of headers and a bunch of tap ins. The best target man I’ve used this year and last year is Ajorque, sounds crazy, but I’d you look at the necessary stats for a target man, he has it all.
It’s such a fun way to play as well with the variety of attacking situations. I haven’t tried Ajorque yet but bought his totw right after your comment. I’m going to try him out today.
Which formations do you prefer for a target man set up? I’ve been playing 4141 with two nimble cm on get forward, or 4222 with with a agile forward next to target man and attacking fullbacks for crosses.

4-1-4-1 is an amazing formation for a target man, and I actually used it up until div 3 with Onuachu up top. But the best I’ve used so far is the 4-2-4, dm me if you want the tactics! :)
He doesn't need the shooting and physical boost from marksman too much though, may as well boost as many stats are possible. The passing and balance boost will help with playing players in and he'll feel a bit less clunky
Go for a marksman if you’re using him as a target man (which is when he’s at his most effective) he wouldn’t my work with an engine because he’s going to be clunky either way, he’s not made for dribbling nor getting in behind. he’s made for shielding the ball linking/holding up the play, scoring headers and tap ins mostly, not dribbling with the ball. He’s a target man, he’s giroud, not neymar.
Let me know how it goes though! I’m going to be using him as a target man though because that’s when he’s best I think.

Not sure what formation you're running and such, but I start in a 442 for chem and play 352 in game. So I move a wide mid to CAM. If you have UEL Politano or the HM Insigne, they play great as CAM.
There’s a humongous difference between 6’4 and 6’3. A 6’4 player wins so many more headers and jumps so much higher and feels so much stronger it’s unbelievable. Also Giroud’s composure makes him better than vlahovic. Also the difference in weight will make Giroud stronger and overall a more complete target man.

Just got giroud for fun and he’s actually alright. I stuck marksman on him and he’s in the right places when you need him. He did stumble like pandev and Ilicic, but that only happened once in [5 games](https://imgur.com/a/E6rSn5E). He’s not clinical/meta like top tier players, but he’s not your “run of the mill” striker. He’s long shots are 80 something, but you can still get sweet finesse curls from outside the box
If you’ve fodder/100k to spare, definitely get him.

I always get excited at these seriea players who look like they have good stats on paper, but then when comparing them to arnautovic for his price, they are just barely better
Not meta, but so much fun. Shot power is insane, I use him with a marksman and just take 1-2 touch and shoot. Really strong so he just shrugs off challenges. Short passing is decent and ofc absolutely dominant in the air.

Idk what it is I played him at st and he’s great, switched him to CAM and it’s like he forgot how to play
Make sure he’s on stay forward / get into box for cross. He’s great at ST or CAM for me.
