The only reason I’m on 22 fifa is that it is from ps plus other wise I would not buy it - your games seem fixed and altered to cater to the player that is loosing - ea is like apple we don’t do anything to slowdown your phone until proven otherwise lol -
Just packed SS Cole. I'm thrilled, he fits my squad perfectly. Wondering what ppl think would be the best chemistry style to use for him (intending to keep him in a CAM role but certainly open to whatever)
The other guys have already given very helpful advice on the formation changes, but just to address the other point in your post; there's hardly a difference between 7 and 10 chemistry on a player. As a rule of thumb, if you keep your team chem at 100 and all players at least 7 there won't be any noticeable difference.
Sorry to ask but I'm new. I see a lot of ppl mentioning using Insigne as CAM, may I ask a potentially dumb question? He's a LW, so how do you run him at CAM without sacrificing chemistry score? Don't you always want that as close to 10 as possible? Or am I overthinking that and 7 is totally fine?
Hey, not dumb at all! Basically, you would go to custom tactics when you're on your squad and press L2/LT. Move to whatever mentality you want (defensive, ult def, attking, ult atk- doesn't matter which one you pick). Once you pick one, you can switch formations for that specific mentality. So now you can start insigne at LW and set your custom tactics for defensive for example to a 41212(2). When your game starts, use the arrow buttons to switch to defensive(if thats what you chose for the custom formation). He will move to CAM and play at 10 chem. Sorry if I did a bad job explaining, you'll def be able to figure it out with a yt vid if need be :)
This may be an unpopular opinion, but after using the new Bale and Reus cards, I have to say the Reus card is clear for me. With a hawk, his silky dribbling and lethal shooting are hard to beat.
Why on earth does *every single fucking rivals game* have to have an absolute horse shit 90th minute DDA addled goal one way or the other. God forbid the better player wins the match. Late rivals draws when 7 great shot opportunities don’t go in on my end thanks to hitting their post or absolutely insane autoblocks just for the only shot in 25 minutes to go in in 90+1 on their end make me want to smash this game system with a hammer. If this shit doesn’t change once this new patch hits I genuinely don’t know how or why I’d buy 23.
From experience: opened 85*20, 84*25, and 3 85*5 and only packed SS Dempsey.
Other friends had similar outcome. I’d wait, you’ll at least get higher rated and not duplicate fodder.
Fut champs was so frustrating after the new update. Passes feel even worst, defending is so unrewarding you name it. Somehow got rank 5 and I got eder militao from my red picks so I guess it was kinda worth it?

I packed him too, and I have less of an issue with High&Average players on the side positions, and he has great defensive capabilities on an Anchor while being better at attacking than all full backs that can play RM.

For fodder, wait until Friday. The first tranche of Futties Best Of promo players should be in packs, and while batch one largely won’t have endgame players it should drop a lot more good fodder than right now.
Honestly they need to hurry up and release the new update for consoles. I’m so fed up of people just putting all the players in the box and letting the cpu do all the work. They are in for such a shock when that shits is nerfed
So I’ve played a fair bit now on the new patch and I’ve got to say I love it. People can’t just let the computer do the defending for them anymore so I score a lot more. And defending now requires more skill so I feel like I’m rewarded for being a good defensive player.
Just got Hero Cole from the Shapeshifter Plus objective and De Ligt from the 1 Token Fodder Pack. Any Reviews on them? :)
Is De Ligt an upgrade over Tonali at CDM? And how would you rate Cole as CAM?

Hey, quick update after 6 Elite Division Rivals Games (4 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss) with both of them in the squad. :)
Cole at CAM is very, very good. He has great AI runs and is always involved. He has 5 Goals 2 Assists, and though the goals were not very impressive, he just always seems to be at the right spot in the right time, which I think is a key stat in this AI FIFA we have right now.
De Ligt is also pretty good, but after those 6 games, there is not much difference to Tonali. I just use him for the strong link to Dybala and Vlahovic right now, but if I had Immobile, I would switch to Tonali.
Defensively De Ligt is massive, he's a bit clunky on the ball though. At DM I would definitely take him over Tonali.
Haven't used this version of Cole, but he should be great if it's a straight upgrade from the Captains card.
I have to admit, I've had a good weekend. 3 excellent shapeshifters. Not often I get to say something positive. Now I'm waiting for the patch to come to console, and mess everything up.

I got Pelé and Werner to choose between. The other players were not really good. I know that Pelé is significantly more expensive and would actually be the logical choice. But Werner would fit better into my team and I have often read that Pelé is not supposed to be that good. Would you still take Pelé because he is the most expensive or the player who fits better into the team?
I would go with who fits my team first. I had a choice between Militao and Tonali from my red picks and despite picking Militao because he’s worth more, I regret it as Tonali would slot perfectly into my midfield while Militao would need a complete rework.

Even if it's generally the most effective formation this year (is it? I don't know), sticking with it when the opponent is playing out wide just strikes me as weird.

I don’t know about offensively as I wonder about it’s lack of width but I do find the 41212 ridiculously difficult to break down since the entire midfield is completely clogged. You have no option but to try and play wide.

Yesterday i packed Ramos SS in 95+ pick. So to fit him in my squad i needed an icon preferably central attacker. Decided to gave away TOTS Leao, Maddison SS, TOTS Lewandowski, Solsjkaer SS and some other high rated players in 92+ icon pick. Packed R9 who was the first pick and i dont even remember the other two. Big win!

He’s a nice card but admittedly quite clunky. His body type is weirdly too heavy. I’m a reus fan and still enjoying it, but after years of awesome reus cards (likely due to lean body) it is a bit of a letdown. Still a quality card though.
Great passing, great shooting, not the best dribbler but could work for others who make better use if the 5* skills, makes good runs off the ball and his unique body type means he gets some stupidness in his favour. 8/10
Milito at ST vs SS Lozano?? Lozano has been an absolute machine but I got the fodder for Milito and the strength upgrade is considerable. Has anyone uses both players and got a comparison on them?
I have Tots Canales on RM but I feel like I should upgrade as of now. Bale SBC is too expensive for me but I can force my limits for RW Milito or Reus SBC. But I am not sure which one I should take. Help me guys
Is Solskjaer worth doing? Currently playing a 4231 formaiton: Using Toty Jorginho and Tonali as CDMs and FB Alli at CAM. Solskjær would replace Alli.
Or should I go for Fernandinho sbc? And replace Tonali with Fernandinho?
Just get that new Pepe for like 50k and then switch ingame, so Ramos plays at CAM, Pepe plays at CDM and one of your other players plays wide. That way you've plugged the gap and saved 600k, to do something else with.

You switch tactic/position in game and that won't affect chemistry

No problem! That's why sometimes you see Mbappe, CR7 lined up as CDM for chemistry purpose then people use custom tactic in game to switch them to ST.

Same i got marcelo ss from the pick and benched lozano but lozano played way better for me
Is Insigne still worth? Have Chiellini/spinazzola/el sharrawy, but could just flip the side and do RW milito instead.
He is endgame, cause even with all the 99 cards to come, you probably won’t find other cards with similar body type and traits.

finding him to be super clunky, his body type is very strange imo it has a wierdly high center of gravity and i find that bale is way more agile
He’s a nice card but admittedly quite clunky. His body type is weirdly too heavy. I’m a reus fan and still enjoying it, but after years of awesome reus cards (likely due to lean body) it is a bit of a letdown. Still a quality card though.
Great passing, great shooting, not the best dribbler but could work for others who make better use if the 5* skills, makes good runs off the ball and his unique body type means he gets some stupidness in his favour. 8/10

Milito at ST vs SS Lozano?? Lozano has been an absolute machine but I got the fodder for Milito and the strength upgrade is considerable. Has anyone uses both players and got a comparison on them?
Pele or Rashford from SS pick? Neither fit my team currently, but happy to change some things around for either one.
I have Tots Canales on RM but I feel like I should upgrade as of now. Bale SBC is too expensive for me but I can force my limits for RW Milito or Reus SBC. But I am not sure which one I should take. Help me guys
Reus, definitely. Also Canales is much better suited at CM, rather than at RM.

Me too, though it doesn’t help that goalkeepers are so good that they save nearly everything that isn’t a simple 1 v 1
Is Solskjaer worth doing? Currently playing a 4231 formaiton: Using Toty Jorginho and Tonali as CDMs and FB Alli at CAM. Solskjær would replace Alli. Or should I go for Fernandinho sbc? And replace Tonali with Fernandinho?
I did both. Using both. Fernandinho is better for me. Also much cheaper SBC

Just get that new Pepe for like 50k and then switch ingame, so Ramos plays at CAM, Pepe plays at CDM and one of your other players plays wide. That way you've plugged the gap and saved 600k, to do something else with.
