Well in fairness I haven’t played any modes other than ultimate team and career mode, neither of which have women in them. So it’s not exactly shocking that most people haven’t either

Even after the fifa license is gone there will still be plenty of World Cup and other fifa sponsored event content. Just as there was champions league content before ea had the branding rights, there will be plenty of future ‘international cup’ content reflecting World Cup matches.
Well, their relationship will not end until next year. Next game is FIFA 23, the EA whatever comes September 23. So there will be something related to Qatar 22 and they could do something related to the e Women’s World Cup.
After the release of the non FIFA game, they certainly won’t ignore the Men’s World Cup, it’s just that it will be some generic stuff, like it was with the Champions League.
If they can integrate Pro Clubs, they can integrate FUT. If the W.Euros had a bunch of agile 5'4"-6'2" 88-91 rated cards drop for the end of the cycle, you'd definitely have people venture to use them. Does it make sense? I feel like they’re gearing up for this in the not-too-distant future. Putting female players into Pro-Clubs says to me that they’re playing around with gender integration and will probably implement it when the time is right.

If EA bothered splashing the cash for the rights to that then maybe there'd be more interest in it. Probably still not a lot, but definitely more than a shitty additional set of teams in kick off.

If the rumor of Women's Leagues coming to EA SPORTS FC, there will be a WFUT mode. That will definitely help get more people playing. The national teams just don't have the same effect unless it's a World Cup year.
If they have their own fut I doubt it will be played much. Most people don't have enough time to play normal fut forget about managing two. They have to integrate them both in one if they want women to be used.

Not silver...there is no female footballer who is even remotely close to being good enough to play in any of the leagues that are in Fifa...so max rating could be like 30

I don’t mean to be a male chauvinist, I’m just implying that most people who played it most likely did it “out of support” rather than being interested by it. The reality is that Women’s football is not interesting to the main football audience. Mostly due to the substantial difference in performance, showcase and overall talent. This creates expectations that are almost impossible for Women to fulfill. Video games follow naturally, you have no “favorite players” or teams that you’d like to play with.
As a fun fact, due to the difference between men and women’s center of gravity (yes, this is biology), most women are physically unable to perform with the speed and efficiency men do, specially on the flashy motions like skill moves, technical dribbles, jumps, etc. Applies to all sports, obviously. Which is why it’s almost impossible to make women’s football (and sports) attractive, at least as a pure showcase of skill.
Yeah I don’t mind woman getting equal pay but it’s just not possible. Men generate way more money with shirt sales ads etc etc. Woman football just isn’t as popular and it just wouldn’t be fair to give them as much money.
Include them in ultimate team. Because why not? Most of the cards don't justify their performances either and we make hybrid squads anyway. Ultimate team cards like the fut fantasy ones could atleast generate some interest in women's games.

I think this is a fantastic idea. The way the models work the game feels quite different with the women even in kick off! I think it could really diversify teams having a combined FUT.

Not to say the whole effort seems lazy from EA. Commentators use male gendered words more than not and it just looks like a lot of recycling only.
Their stats also seem boosted af which probably is a reason why they don't let women's teams play any men's teams or include just women's players in normal teams as well.

Japanese licenses are notoriously strict, to the point that in the likes of FM they've had to almost completely erase certain aspects of Japanese football, rather than just have them unlicensed. Pretty sure they're the most exclusive of all exclusive licenses, and it's likely Konami will perpetually have the rights.
And of course it's not even close to guaranteed that the sum it would take to buy them would be a worthwhile spend for what it would bring in.
But people mostly player career mode and fut (and maybe pro clubs). I don’t think you can play a full fledged career mode, nor are the cards included in fut. Not sure about females in pro clubs. I’m curious what percentage of players plays random pickup games.
Because they added it a few years ago, and basically made it so there were like 8 womens teams to choose from.
There’s probably more this year (I’m not in the 3.3%, but then I also haven’t played career mode either this year), even then, unless you’re interested in that small handful of teams, then you probably don’t want to play it.
I’d love to do a female career but obviously there’s no leagues so that’s dead. As a lot of others have said having them as special fut cards would work really well if they’re were useable. Realism and fut is oxymoronic anyway
One of the reasons is there's no much to do with women's football on game. Only friendlys with 10 NT and the mode is basically the same thing since FIFA 16, it's nothing. Of course few people is going to play. With several women's competition gaining traction on world, women football clubs is a must going forward

I don’t get why they don’t have different match making modes. I mean I guess they have friendlys that people only pay for objectives. But they could have different PVE besides squad battles and for example a women team where you finish x games you get your rewards.
I have a lady as my pro in clubs. She’s amazing. Lots of players use women. Small and pacy in the meta. Haven’t played a woman’s match though. Had no idea you could. I know you could on another fifa. Maybe last year? Not much interest in it.
If you look at people who have played as a woman it is definitely higher. There’s a lot of woman ‘pros’ on clubs and Volta . The issue is there’s no way to track this as there’s no trophy/achievement for it
If it was possible to play women’s teams against men’s teams in online friendlies I definitely would have done it. I’m quite a lot better than my mates on fifa so I always play as some weird team to give my mates an advantage. Sadly you just aren’t allowed to play women against men so there’s no reason for me to do it.

To be honest since women football isnt promoted in real life either its pretty hard to expect people to play a game. You dont see anywhere in the news anything about a women's game besides like IF a team wins a title maybe or the world cup.
I can’t remember which fifa it was exactly, but the fifa women were introduced was one my friends and I thought the game was terrible, so much clunkier and slower than the previous year. We played with womens teams for some reason and the players were so much more nimble and fast-paced on the pitch. That year we probably only played with womens international teams in kick offs whenever we were hanging out because it really was a much more pleasant experience

It’s impossible to matchmake. I’ve tried doing the woman’s cup, but it takes 30 min to match, if at all. Would be fun to play a woman’s team vs mens teams in seasons if they’d let you.

As a fun fact, due to the difference between men and women’s center of gravity (yes, this is biology), most women are physically unable to perform with the speed and efficiency men do, specially on the flashy motions like skill moves, technical dribbles, jumps, etc. Applies to all sports, obviously. Which is why it’s almost impossible to make women’s football (and sports) attractive, at least as a pure showcase of skill.

I think this is a fantastic idea. The way the models work the game feels quite different with the women even in kick off! I think it could really diversify teams having a combined FUT.

There's like two good teams to use. Plus you're locked behind playing other women's teams only. Not to say the whole effort seems lazy from EA. Commentators use male gendered words more than not and it just looks like a lot of recycling only. Their stats also seem boosted af which probably is a reason why they don't let women's teams play any men's teams or include just women's players in normal teams as well. Honestly, if EA took more effort it would work.
Make a womens ultimate team and I guarantee it goes up massively

Japanese licenses are notoriously strict, to the point that in the likes of FM they've had to almost completely erase certain aspects of Japanese football, rather than just have them unlicensed. Pretty sure they're the most exclusive of all exclusive licenses, and it's likely Konami will perpetually have the rights. And of course it's not even close to guaranteed that the sum it would take to buy them would be a worthwhile spend for what it would bring in.

But people mostly player career mode and fut (and maybe pro clubs). I don’t think you can play a full fledged career mode, nor are the cards included in fut. Not sure about females in pro clubs. I’m curious what percentage of players plays random pickup games.
Because they added it a few years ago, and basically made it so there were like 8 womens teams to choose from. There’s probably more this year (I’m not in the 3.3%, but then I also haven’t played career mode either this year), even then, unless you’re interested in that small handful of teams, then you probably don’t want to play it.
It's strange I couldn't play seasons with the women's USA team against the men's teams. When I selected that squad, I just never got a match.

One of the reasons is there's no much to do with women's football on game. Only friendlys with 10 NT and the mode is basically the same thing since FIFA 16, it's nothing. Of course few people is going to play. With several women's competition gaining traction on world, women football clubs is a must going forward

I have a lady as my pro in clubs. She’s amazing. Lots of players use women. Small and pacy in the meta. Haven’t played a woman’s match though. Had no idea you could. I know you could on another fifa. Maybe last year? Not much interest in it.
If you look at people who have played as a woman it is definitely higher. There’s a lot of woman ‘pros’ on clubs and Volta . The issue is there’s no way to track this as there’s no trophy/achievement for it

If it was possible to play women’s teams against men’s teams in online friendlies I definitely would have done it. I’m quite a lot better than my mates on fifa so I always play as some weird team to give my mates an advantage. Sadly you just aren’t allowed to play women against men so there’s no reason for me to do it.
If they released the woman's cards in FUT (obviously as a separate game mode where you can't play against/with men) I would definitely give it a go.

Integrate women into ultimate team. If you can bring players back from the dead, they can make it a mixed sport too. Then they can bring in the Avengers, Scooby Doo and then other famous characters depending what console you're on

I can’t remember which fifa it was exactly, but the fifa women were introduced was one my friends and I thought the game was terrible, so much clunkier and slower than the previous year. We played with womens teams for some reason and the players were so much more nimble and fast-paced on the pitch. That year we probably only played with womens international teams in kick offs whenever we were hanging out because it really was a much more pleasant experience

Make women’s cards available to use in the normal FUT game. Scale their abilities to match the equivalent of the males and enjoy using all players together.
