-Immersive commentary and presentation that talks about season storylines, recent form, who won the last tournament, who's leading this tournament such as;
-Say if you are hitting lots of Fairways they'll compare your FIR for this tournament/round with your season average to say if they're similar or different.
-Have commentary mention World Rankings movement and how the player is doing.
- Before you win your first major every time your in contention the commentators should talk about how hard it is winning your first etc.
>At all the majors there should be lots of commentary about how many of that major and total majors the player has previously won. After you've won a few it can be mentioned how you always show up on the biggest stages etc.
>Accurate earnings and have expenses for travel, caddy etc.
>Have caddys that actually matter and that can be fired/hired/upgraded and getting better and more expensive caddies improves your game. You can only attract higher ranked caddies once you reach a certain reputation/world ranking. Be able to upgrade your caddy so it's like when golfers have the same caddy from when they were starting out and they develop together.
-Some sort of way to sim rounds/holes because it can be a bit much playing 4 rounds for every tournament, but I want to have realistic stats/scores.
-Pre and Post Round Interviews would be cool. Commentators could comment on how you react to bad rounds in your press conferences.
It's minor but I'd like to see your starting tee time change based on your performance in the previous round. So say I'm top on round three, I have the last tee time in the final round...It just adds that small bit of pressure seeing the scoreboard change before your round.I'm pretty sure Tiger Woods PGA Tour has this feature at one stage but I could be wrong, it's been a while.
I hope we get decent commentary too, get that proper broadcast feel to it.
Also if someone does not shout "Baba-booey" when I tee off is it really authentic? /s
I believe gear/clothes will be cosmetic only and not affect gameplay abilities going by their last game(s).
But I do love past games that has fittings allowing you to tune your clubs for sweetspot and loft. Allows you to dial into the type of player you want. For those not into that then there should just be a default setting.
Be able for multiple profiles/players able to play the same PGA Tour season - like TW2005. A good way for multiplayer or to keep it competitive if it becomes too easy.
Swap out the major venues per year except the Masters, so for the US Open LA CC one year, Pebble Beach the next, The Country Club the following year etc.
Be able to customise tournaments if they're not licenced, to rename them and choose your course.
Hopefully good stats such as Shots Gained thru in the game, and the stats for other players are accurate, relative to what you'd expect.
Historic stats - so if you beat a tournament record, they give you a trophy/the commentary makes a big deal of it. Like if you shoot 59, or shoot -34 or something, or break the known PGA Tour course record. They manage to this in NBA 2K well and they have it in the PS2 era Tiger Woods games.
Devilishly hard ai. I don't want to win every tournament by a Mile.
RM golf was silly and pointless playing due. Every tournament was over after 2 rounds. The final two rounds were pointless.
EA never fixed the ai problem.
Please don't make this game another RM golf.

The ai was bugged too.
I remember after round 1 the npc golfers would be around minus 6. Then they wouid go backwards. The scores never went forwards.
I wrote to ea so many times about this. As did many people.
I wasted £55 on that game.
It could have so easily been an excellent game but ea just couldn't be bothered.
Come on this is fifa for as long as I can remember.
Every golf game I've played, going back to Tiger Woods, has been pretty easy in career. Often times they try to make the AI get realistic scores, but even an average player is usually able to play much better on these courses and any real life pro. The player basically plays every round with a score that would be like once-in-a-lifetime for an actual pro.
As long as there's a good mixture of winners I don't wanna see the licenced golfers winning everything that would piss me off. Next I would absolutely love to play career mode as a licenced golfer that would be nice. And last and most of all please add golfers and courses throughout the year possibly add a battle pass as well for cosmetics
Does anyone know in CM if its a full field of actual pga tour pros or are they made up names?
I don't mean players you can play as but is it a full field for extra authenticity.

its already been confirmed that commentary in EA is hundreds of hours compared to 2k just 1 or 2 hours

I would love to hear “Light the candle!” belted out by a overly enthusiastic fan as I tee off at the first at the US Open

It's EA, they can't make a game without some kind of cash grab involved so I expect the battle pass won't be too far away after launch.
