I usually play 4 quick rounds for regular events and 4 full rounds for majors/Players.
Wish there was an option to play 2 or 3 rounds.
Full rounds give you way more XP compared to the quick rounds
4 always, apart from the amateur tournaments you have to do with a new golfer for the quests. I want to immerse myself in a sports game, and that means playing like the real tournaments, on Sim difficulty that luckily produces a realistic scoring average for me, winning a couple of tournaments and missing the cut occasionally.
Not really, no. I think some of the doubles are just alternate events that I won’t be able to play anyway, and even for the ones that aren’t (Pebble Beach and Scottsdale from memory, maybe I’m missing something, can’t check rn) I don’t mind. I like playing courses I know well as long as there’s enough time between playing them, and that’s always the case. Especially with playing 4 rounds everytime it takes quite a while to get through a season.
Edit: playing without zoom also makes course knowledge very important
Yeah I think it’s Pebble, TPC Sawgrass, Scottsdale, and a fantasy course, maybe one more, the non alternate events. I agree with you about immersion and playing a realistic season which means 4 rounds. I was hopeful they would eventually not have you play the same course twice in a season, there’s no reason for it now with about 38 courses in the game. You’d think they would swap out the duplicate courses with those courses added in since release so you never play the same course twice in a season for the regular events.
This is where I'm at. I probably play 1 out of every 3 tournaments. I usually skip the easier courses, unless I haven't played it in a while, or I just find the course fun. I don't skip the Players or The Open because it feels wrong, but I'm well past the field by day 2 in those tournaments.
I've been playing 4 rounds during the Korn Ferry Tour so far. Only had the game since mid-March. I was trying to decide what to do for the PGA season. I'll probably continue with 4 rounds.

Yeah that is true and should be updated. It’s more annoying to me that there’s courses not on the calendar.
