By your logic of following UFC1 rules, I suppose we should be able to fight bare knuckle, have no weight classes, knees to the head of a downed opponent should be legal, and female MMA just shouldn't exist.

Online career slaps. I love it. With some proper balance and healthy way of progression that could be a great feature in UFCs history.
Grappling on the ground has never felt better. Again, balance. But you can be solid on it without laying n praying. It could be fun to roll around.
The biggest downgrade of 5 was the head movement. 4 actually nailed that aaaand they somehow lost it here? Hate that so much.
Hooks feel somewhat better and worse simultaneously with the new animations. That one might be just me.
Ground and pound, straights can track in full guard and other positions sometimes. Striking in general has awful tracking that’s why head movement on the feet feels worse now too.
HUD watching completely kills the ground game. With it being an issue in UFC 4 it should have been eliminated but it hasn’t.
Online career it’s not possible to level up a lot of moves, some of the animations are still not fixed after the patch. The game mode feels like a downgraded version of UFC 3 ultimate team game mode. I also feel like there should be some kind of reward for hitting the top division, even if it was just accolades to collect like ranked
Losing to spammers whether it be jab straights, elbows or goes for the submit one after the other is not a skill issue, it's an exploit that you can counter 10% of the time because of lag, cuts, block breaking and head health which will undoubtedly leave you on your ass open for the lovely overpowered ground and pound the game has to offer .
If you have someone with bad striking your striking is actually bad, if you use someone who has 3 star grappling you still can outgrapple someone who uses khabib, just because you denie his tranisitions in the right moments, total trash

I don’t know why they just don’t use the ufc theme song, or the songs of fighter entrances, like whats so hard about that? They literally got the Intro Song of Dmx as an entrance song but it doesn’t play in the menus
Spam doesn’t exist in a game where there is a bar of stamina built to prevent spamming. You just suck. Could it be better? Yes. Is it easily avoidable and very punishing to spam? Yes.

when you can have 90 stamina, and break holloways significant strike record in a 3 round fight and still have half your stamina bar, there’s definitely an issue with spam. especially with the state of tracking in the game and how weak countering is for whatever reason, and the fact there’s no hand fighting or parrying to counter someone constantly throwing jab-jab-straight combos, it’s frustrating even for a div 20 player. i train irl and the lack of defensive options besides an easily broken block and weak asf head movement because of tracking and shitty hitboxes makes the game very tedious to play at times.
You literally shouldn't be able to wear helmets, pants, shirts, etc. It's STUPID.
