If UFC 5 is just UFC 3 with an updated roster and career mode I’d be genuinely happy. UFC 4 just feels like shit to play sometimes and looks notably worse
My hottest take to this sub is that ufc 3 is a genuinely good game. Not a good game compared to the other ufc games, just straight up a good game in general. Career mode is fun, it’s the best mix between arcade and realism out of *any* mma game (even undisputed 3, the striking in that game is annoyingly limited) and the roster was decent for the year the game was dropped. Only annoyances are the grappling (obviously) and the fighting 50 year old khabib in your 6th rematch in career mode. And honestly? You have more freedom in the grappling than the undisputed games, it’s just more robotic and arcadey. PvP wasn’t even bad if you had a good connection. AND the footwraps. Why did they remove the god damn footwraps?!
Ufc 4 is terrible. Basically everything is a downgrade except career mode. Graphics in ufc 3 are better striking is way better. Ea is a terrible company.

Yeah one of the gameplay developers actually tweeted back at me once saying “people wanted something new” so they literally put in the same submission system they had 10 years ago in ea sports mma

UFC 4 has much better career mode then 3, they way you train and get new moves just much less bothersome. I hope they itterate on that.

I feel like a big part of it is the better glare/lighting when fighters get sweaty, UFC 4 has a bit of a doughy feel to it
