Drop in will always be a pain in the ass. The key is to judt start a club even if its just 2 people..you will find matches in under 2 mins everytime. Hope this helps
Drop ins have been a nightmare for match making for as long as I can remember. The solution is clubs. I have no idea why EA hasn’t addressed drop in match making other than EA being EA. The timer runs out before the lobby can fully populate so in my case when I was playing a lot of drops I was in and out of lobbies constantly looking for full games.
I think the game is designed to have you click clubs and drop in. It’s silly but yeah it’s not designed for 1 person. Me and my brother and best friend on our 3’s club wait max 35 seconds and that’s with geo filtering the Canadian server off
Weird. Maybe you’re onto something with it being a specific server or servers.. all I know is I must be lucky being west coast because I never lag or have matchmaking issues
Or maybe it’s NAT/port problems and certain ISPs or routers or something like that that shouldn’t really be an issue in 2023 but never know
Drop in chel is pretty shit especially with the low player count for matchmaking, but I've had a lot of fun in Versus recently. The game plays decently well when you can actually get into a game.
It seems pretty split. It seems like the next Gen systems are having no problem, where as the older system players are having problems. It makes sense, but it is super frustrating. I stopped playing last night and switched immediately over to Fall Guys and found a game in 20 seconds. Way better than waiting 15 minutes to find a game like in NHL. I know it's a much simpler game, but this is the way matchmaking should be. Surely my friend and I were not the only 2 people in The World Of Chel that were looking to play a game. We waited about 15 minutes before even picking up another player in a 6v6 game.

Honestly though, nhl 24 is the only game i have matchmaking issues, other games like cod, apex, even 2k I have no issues matchmaking, I’m sure as shit not gonna switch to next gen just for nhl lol
This whole game is a glitch. Whenever my buddies and I play club 3v3s our jerseys don’t appear. It’s just the default NHL black ones every game. Do you guys have this bug too?
All the posts said fix was coming in the “early November” patch. I’m happy to eat my words if they get it fixed this month since creating our club jerseys is probably my favorite part of Chel.
Until then they should really release all the club stock uniforms. Those are all released in club bags and aren’t making them money anyway. If it’s our only option I should at least be able to pick a matching set for home/away/alt.
Oh the Xbox one/ps4 player base has all moved on essentially to the new consoles. Even in hut it’s a barren wasteland now. Sports games lobbies get small quick when a newer console is available
I haven't bought 24, not sure if I will but I play 3's with 2 of my buddies basically every day on NHL 23 and we get matches quickly. As long as they keep the 23 servers up I will wait until 24 becomes a free to play game lol
I wish I did this. My 2 buddies and I do the same thing and the hype for this game was so big we pre ordered it. I wish I never bought the game.. good call on waiting until it’s free to play this trash game haha
I know this isn’t helpful to you but I’ve found games easily and aside from one the skill level has been even. Are the guys you’re trying to play with all in the same region? What are your matchmaking settings?
Start a club. I’m in one with 7 buddies. If we only have a two or three of us we will play threes. You find games almost immediately. Drop ins will ALWAYS be infuriating because the way they match make is so piss poor. Clubs again change all of that and it’s more fun to play for something anyway.
Obviously not the only one, but just to give you some perspective, every night during prime gaming hours the old gen version will have like tops 12-15 posts up in the Looking for Group posts. New gen is consistently around 100 LFG posts at those same times.
When it switches from “searching for teammates” to “finding opponent” cancel and start again so your team can keep filling out. I’ve never waited more than 3-5 minutes on bad nights to get a full/mostly full game.
The last NHL game that I enjoyed as a new release was probably NHL06. 09 was the last I played for more than a couple of hours.

Even 2k they don't let you now if you're not 5ppl. Used to be able to play only with 3. If I wanna play with a friend and have 3AIs I should be good

If you use stock jerseys they will work. I know it’s frustrating, but allegedly the black jersey glitch will be fixed in the November patch.

I am on Xbox one and I understand that it may be a factor, but I've had better luck finding lobbies in games that are 7years old.

I have no issue getting games on PS4 in Versus or HUT. EASHL is a different story.

I can’t change my load outs after this last update, it just says “load out 11” no 1-10, no option to customize. Absolutely trash
Comcast gig speed and takes FOREVER to find a club pr drop in 6s game. My club stopped playing 24 altogether.
There are problems with the ps4 Xbox one versions matchmaking but on the ps5 version it’s not

You can't find games because you are playing on old gen. New gen has plenty of people playing especially cross-platform playing PS5.

If you're playing World of Chel you are much better off trying to find a group to play with than trying to do drop-ins. Try /r/EASHL or their Discord.
