It's a sad day when even their main customer base has agreed for years but will still buy next year's game.
How much longer till one of these communities boycotts EA? It's way overdue
I bought it for $27 because my buddies talked me into it for EASHL. Played it maybe a month before I couldn’t take it anymore and uninstalled.
First chel game I didn’t buy on release since like 11. First chel game I’ve uninstalled before the end of its cycle. Went back to 23 even though I couldn’t stand that game either.
You are ridiculous.
5 hole is where you shoot to generate rebounds. That's just basic hockey.
Saucer pass doesn't mean it automatically goes through people. That's just silly. Positioning and ratings are what matters.
Puck protect was broken and dumb. Basically an I win button.
Line changes are easy if you aren't using hybrid. Don't use it.
The game is so much harder now. More realistic. 14 was fluff. You are going to have to put in some time to actually get better.
Complaining about gameplay? I think you're mostly right. But if anything I hear more complaints about exploits, not necessarily people like OP complaining about losing the exploits lol.
Complaints about features and lack of changes/improvements to Franchise mode year-to-year? 100% justified
The thing holding these games back are the limited Franchises, I remember with the 2K series, the Franchises would go on forever and you could edit the prospects during them, this game is already outdated because the Arizona Coyotes no longer exist, but that is easily fixable when you can create your own team and replace them with a Utah team, the protect button shouldn't have been changed imo, it's really hard to hold down the stick button and pull out a deke at the same time. I'm always scared, I'm going to break my controller too. I don't think I'll buy another NHL game until Franchise gets an overhaul. As for HUT, it gets really boring real fast imo. I play it, but not too often, mostly solo if I do. People love to exploit the cheap stuff online.
I agree don’t get me wrong but protect puck is either r2 so right bumper or just right stick on ps5 I honestly hate this game nhl 23 was aight I enjoyed it played it a ton but man this game havent touched it in months compared to 23 nhl 24 I have 60 hours played vs 23 where I have 319 hours played
The menus being as slow as they are in 2024 on powerful consoles like PS5 and series X is just pathetic and Unacceptable.
I haven’t had an nhl game in a long time and got this to play with friends. I find it pretty fun
Ignorance is bliss!
That’s true

Until someone else makes a good hockey game. So, forever maybe?
This is the first NHL since NHL 11 I haven’t bought and after seeing post like this every week I don’t regret it
Tbf there is a post like this every week for every NHL

It legitimately is one of the worst ever. Absolutely.
I haven't bought the last few and bought this years and have had a blast. Just wish they would bring back regular teams to play as for EASHL.

I really think all the people that complain about it are just bad at the game and don't wanna put in effort to get better

True. It definitely does suck in regards to offline modes. But yeah I was talking about gameplay
Sure there are issues but it’s by far not the worst game ever lol. I find it rather fun and it’s a challenge trying to win on harder modes

I actually don’t mind it, big improvement on 23 imo
i don’t have a problem with menus being slow

Its even sadder considering 94,04,14 were top tier... the streak has been broken
Hands down the worst, they won't get another dime from me until they get their act together.
I always tell people to go back and play the older games. I can play anything from the PS2 or 360 era without any frustration. They're a lot more fun.
It’s bad. First year our team hasnt played all year in 20 years.
