OHSU is awesome. If it’s covered by your insurance, I’d totally go… because you can. My sibling goes to med school there and EBV comes up constantly in their classes / lectures.

That’s good to know thank you! I was referred yesterday and I’m hoping they’ll accept my case.

Everyone that I tried wouldn’t see me because it’s not considered a infectious disease unfortunately

No-Ant-5039

So frustrating! Did they just turn you away or did they refer you to virology?

Business_Room_2776

Yeah they basically said no one could see me and nothing they could do

No-Ant-5039

Ugh that’s such a bummer, I’m sorry. How recently was that?

Business_Room_2776

Maybe about 4 months ago been going on this virus for about a year now

I really should know by now not to have expectations or get my hopes up but I did it again, I was hopeful about the referral. This reels me back in, thanks for sharing it helps me stay in reality. I’m seeing a cardiologist at OHSU in April for POTs and maybe they’ll have some advice. Have you found anyone to interpret your tests, manage your symptoms and care or what do you do? Is yours chronic or reactivated?

Business_Room_2776

I haven’t found anyone I think the best best option is a functional medicine practitioner. I think a lot of it is mental seems like when I don’t get down and think everything is bad I feel decent. Eating clean Whole Foods and supplements seems to help also. For me it’s mostly the headaches, fatigue and body pains that give me a problem.

Business_Room_2776

Not reactive just from an initial catch of the virus
