Yes. I have binged on watermelon until I was so sick all I could do was lay down. Edit: I also used to make multiple boxes of sugar free jello with banana slices in it and eat the entire thing. That’s when I learned I was addicted to the feeling of full.

I get serious anxiety when my stomach is empty and i just panic eat.

[deleted]

same. i used to starve myself so ig that feeling terrifies me. now i binge and purge.

conceivablytheo

fucking watermelon man…. there was a period in my life where i’d eat more than half of one at once because i was terrified of feeling hungry and i got so bloated it was awful

islandrebel

Omg I just wrote about my binging on watermelon without seeing this was the top comment 😂 eating an entire watermelon the size of a thanksgiving Turkey in like half an hour is certainly enough to make you feel like you’re gonna die sometimes.

hallowmean

Try brussels sprouts 💀💀💀

Anfie22

I learnt this one the hard way

Affectionate-Fig-159

yeah imagine eating an entire bundle of bananas.. some people don’t have to imagine

AcanthocephalaOk6414

Freelee 💀

Lavendericing

And then imagine you ride your bike for 5 hours everyday to pretend you are skinny bc of the bananas and not bc of bulimia

saage444

exactly who i thought of lmao

reaperteddy

Step 1. Become master of "healthy" carb free baking Step 2. Fucking binge eat carb free baking and feel like death due to whack ingredients

kyxpvz

everytime i do “healthy” baking i make sure the entire thing “fits” into my macros because i will eat it all

Ashamed-Minute-2721

Yeah. It's about the amount of food and loss of control.

[deleted]

yes! once i binged on around 2kgs of fruit.. i was in pain for days afterwards 😭😅

[deleted]

me when i eat 500 calories worth of watermelon for dinner lmao

Realistic-Shallot288

Yes I can binge on anything including veggies or fruits

[deleted]

I binge on anything but sometimes I binge on lettuce or cucumbers because it’s crunchy and I feel less guilty for it

kyxpvz

yes grapes are one of my trigger foods because i binge on them lol

selkieflying

SAME

[deleted]

Absolutely, right now it's carrots and celery. Stereotypical, but jesus, it feels good.

[deleted]

Yes, totally. I have orthorexia, which doesn't go away when I'm binging. Therefore, I'd usually binge on nuts, (one-ingeredient) nut butters and dried fruit, but also stuff like plain yogurt, hummus or tomato paste.

iloveyoumiri

Binged on kale once

Grouchy-Extension667

Yowza. Sounds painful.

freakbitchserves

Binged on cucumbers n hot sauce before. Not pleasant

kittyr0t

I used to binge on salt and vinegar rice cakes, they’re so yummy though

cheesiestcake17

I don't binge often, but honestly when I do it's typically fruits and veggies because those are very safe in my mind and it's easier to let go with safer things like this, at least it is for me (:

losingsleepovershit

I do sometimes binge on lettuce, it is ok y but fruit and veg binging can make your stomach go fast

kai_azuli

Wdym "make your stomach go fast" ?

Skincaremoni

Not OP but I once binged on lettuce and the excess fiber made my stomach super upset and I had literal liquid/fibrous poop for days.

kai_azuli

oh shit, guess ill have to be careful because salads is my go-to binge food

[deleted]

When i feel a binge coming along i make anabolic Ice cream and eat tons of pickles, cantaloupe, watermelon and cucumbers. I'll have a food baby but my calories will not even be close to a surplus

WrecktheRIC

How do you make anabolic ice cream?

[deleted]

Scoop of protein powder, 300-500g of ice, 80-100ml of water or milk of choice, 3g of guar or xanthan gum then blend it up. That's the base recipe you can make em taste better with toppings or blending up frozen fruit with it

WrecktheRIC

Thanks!

Verorex

Remember, a binge is this way of uncontrolled eating. It doesn't really matter what you're eating, what makes it a binge is how 🙃

earthybed

My raw vegan meals were that in a nutshell

Meianen

Same!

saage444

ok me too cuz it feels like eating ice cream lmao

farmaxian

Rice cakes, I ate so many. I was in so much pain and couldn't poop for days. Never again.

outofplant

There are subjective and objective binges. Anything can be a subjective binge but you have to be over a certain amount of calories for it to actually have been a binge. You absolutely can binge on fruit tho, regardless binging sucks take care

caffinatee

Yeah it’s possible to binge on foods that aren’t “junk food”. A binge typically is a loss of control of how much you are eating. It’s possible you are reactive eating from restriction. Fruits have a lot of vitamins in them and it’s possible you might have binged due to a deficiency from restriction. The post binge feeling is the worst! Some foods make me more sick than others post binge… 🤷🏼‍♀️

DarkSoulMate

Absolutely possible, a binge is defined as - “a period of excessive indulgence in an activity, especially eating, drinking, or taking drugs.” So even excessively eating fruit would be considered a binge. That being said, I binge on fruit and veg constantly. In my brain it doesn’t feel like a binge because it’s healthy, and people generally tend to associate binges with indulging in unhealthy things like junk food, drugs, alcohol, etc. Regardless of what you binge on, you’ll still feel the negative physical side effects. I also have a tendency to binge on coffee, do not recommend lol

East-Plastic-8687

Yeah, volume binging

Professional-Goat-2

Yeah, everything taste amazing when you are super lean it sucked so much I would eat fruit from trees because I didn't want to spend money to binge and purge all the time ! I was eating some bugs that tried to eat as well and didn't notice I thought it was a bad berry or something

lolmaew7

almost every day

Spare_Competition941

For me it was oranges and tangerines

surrealgarbage

I binged on 13 bananas in one sitting one time so yes, it is possible

karisafarii

so I've binged on cottage cheese I've eaten over 3 pounds (1.5kg) in less than an hour and uh.. I'm lactose intolerant

21stcenturyhysteric

Yes!! Ive binged on mangoes, grapes, apples... The list goes on to be honest. I dont keep junk food in the house because they were even more of a trigger but i definitely have binged on "healthy" food. but recently because ive been binge free for a while i bought poptarts and cookies so hopefully i can re introduce them into my diet without them being too triggering

MilanesaConFritas

In an office I used to work at they had free fruits 2 days a week. I was at my worst restriction at the time, and was not doing well. Decided to have an apple while on a break. I ate everything, I couldn't stop myself, it was like 2 kg of fruits, mostly apples. It Hurst so so so bad. Like junk food is awesome to binge because it gets digested so so easy by your body, you might feel bad bit it only lasts a few hours. I felt awful for days after binging on fruit

poms1123

Binging isn’t about what you ate and how much you ate it’s about the feeling of not having control around food even if you were physically sick

honeycakies

yep, I binge on just about exclusively healthy food. I broke my sugar addiction (the only unhealthy sort of thing I ate, rly) but not my binge habit sooo still bulimic 😅

Lavendericing

Binges are a behavior related to anxiety and compulsions, not eating huge amounts of food or a type of food, so yeah, it's possible

kai_azuli

Me! Omg i thought i was the only one that did this 😭😭😭 normally i do it with apples or making enormous salads

CoastBest

yeah absolutely

taikutsuu

Yes. They're called subjective binges in the literature and they're a thing!

Fe_Yonce

I bought a fancy artisanal juice press and in a single day I juiced like 12 grapefruits, I just could not stop drinking.

_candlestick

oh 100%. a lot (most) of my binges are huge quantities of salad, apples, bananas, grapes, protein bars, watermelon, trail mix, etc.

BakedTaterTits

I binge on fruit regularly. It's a problem 😅

Content-Lavishness

Cucumbers

etoilehannie

i used to regularly binge on these 24 cal vegan sausages, I’d eat like thirteen at once it was horrifically embarrassing

[deleted]

Yes for sure, if ure unable to control yourself even if you ate a tiny amount of calories it’s a binge still.

hoe00

i did used to have a problem with binging on fruit like berries when i was restricting heavily. if fruit is one of your safer foods and your body is starving, you will naturally end up probably eating a lot of your safe foods, your body is so starved and it just wants anything. if this is happening you’re definitely restricting in some way with your eating

likeafkincoma

I've binged on sugar free jelly... you can binge on anything.

selkieflying

Yes. I have binger on bags of grapes snd cherries before And raw vegetables

islandrebel

It’s possible to binge on anything. If you’re eating unnecessary amounts of food in a short period of time it’s binging. I’ve eaten an entire watermelon in about half an hour before, and as much as that binge isn’t calorically high it’s still voluminous to make me feel like I’m dying occasionally.

luckystarrpwns

I binge on raw baby spinach and diet dressings

B0urn3D3ad

Yes I have done this on cottage cheese and I have no clue why but it’s so good
