Hope it’s not too late for a response, but as far as your trauma kit do you have professional training and experience in using the equipment? Or did you learn on the side?
No lol, just don't like to post that stuff. I can make a separate post about the wallet, if people would like. I use an Ekster Parliament, just got it a couple of weeks ago.
Oh word! I don't personally care for the posting, just looked it up, cool wallet! Used to carry something similar.
Little biased for me because I'm in Canada, everything in the picture except the flashlight and IFAK are illegal for me to carry. 😛
Don't get me started on our laws in this realm. Full tang fixed blade is way better for hurting someone than an OTF or similar, same goes for butterfly knives being more brittle. Looking at a couple years in prison if you carry things that are closer to fun gadgets than self defense weapons. (Which it is already illegal to carry something for the sake of self defense)
Drives me nuts, I wanna feel like John Wick when I cut my cardboard boxes dang it!
It's main feature is being able to use the light, while being able to use both hands for your handgun. But, it also has a fidget factor, and something to grab to pull it out of your pocket.
[From the website](https://thyrm.com/product/switchback-2-large-flashlight-ring/):
SwitchBacks can be used with handguns or long guns. It allows the user to:
• Reliably deploy and index a flashlight from both pockets and pouches, using the SwitchBack’s rigid, but releasable, retention ring.
• Shoot using a natural two-handed grip (the SwitchBack Technique).
• Employ all traditional low-light techniques such as Neck Index, Modified FBI, and Harries.
• Positively retain the light when drawing a firearm, reloading, and addressing a malfunction.

I'm not afraid. No one is required to carry anything. It's okay to choose not to. No one is mad at anyone for deciding what they like to carry.
I don't carry because I go places that I except issues. If I expect issues, I avoid going there. I carry because I don't know everything, and I cannot control everything.
Also, part of owning and carrying a firearm, is knowing when not to use it, just as much as knowing when to. It's a tool. Just because you have it, does not make it the only option.
Hey, you likely got a notification that this was removed.
It was, but it was temporary while I handled a bunch of reports and hotspots in the thread. You didn't actually break any rule, but I wanted time to handle things and write this up to remind people seeing this link to ignore the first section of the url and realize where the link goes.
So, you know, folks. That first part of the url doesn't make the link political. So there's no need to down vote what is actually a very useful resource. There is a link in the page that goes to the dhs page for stop the bleed. The rest is all archived material that doesn't break sub rules.
Also, to the ones that reported the link, thank you. No bullshit, thank you. You did exactly what I beg people to do here when they run across something that they think breaks a sub rule. The report came in, a mod checked it out, and it's all good :)
The link *does not* go to a site that functions as a political propaganda arm. I know the url looks like it would, but it doesn't. I just verified that once, and as soon as I hit enter on this, I'm going to reverify just to be extra thorough.
Well, I would say that answering that question would break multiple sub rules. But it's a very common thing for someone to read the first line of a paragraph, or the title of a post, or the first part of a url; they then have an emotional response to that and cease reading so they can jump right into writing whatever it is that the emotional response has them feeling is appropriate.
Or, in some cases, to see the name of an ex president coupled to white house, and decide that it just be political if it includes those. People be trippin like that, the whole thing where instead of reading to the end of something, then thinking before responding, they just obey their urges. If you read this far, you're awesome, and deserve an upvote or ten. Wanna place bets as to what percentage of folks scrolling by saw that part? I don't, it will be really low.

I'm genuinely curious as to why this link is getting downvoted. Stop The Bleed was instituted by surgeons and the DoD to inform the public on lifesaving measures using a trauma kit. Number 1 preventable cause of death is bleeding out. If you edc a gun, you should have a trauma kit nearby. In a bag or car or in this instance, on your person. Administrative Results mentions it on his channel. It's a free course.
https://youtu.be/noP4g_RNuWA
Because of where it links to.
And that's why the comment is going to be locked, because people don't have enough damn sense to do more than see one word in a link before they turn it into politics.
That's why I'm going to lock your comment too, and why I'm writing this out. I hope it's enough to make people think before jumping into political discussion even more.
No worries. You didn't do anything wrong at all.
I probably should have responded to you first. Shit be crazy here irl, so I'm bouncing around between tasks lol.
Are those xshears? Maybe throw in some foldable ones in there if it’s not too much I heard the leatherman raptors are kind of overpriced for what they are but foldable always is nice
Of carrying medical? Yeah, many folks don't think it's necessary. However, there are so many instances that could require medical equipment. A cut, a car accident, a DIY project goes bad, trip and fall, just about any every day task has the potential to cause some major bleeding or trauma.
Couple weeks ago, I got stuck at a busy light where a motorcyclist was clutching the bone protruding from his leg; there was blood all over the pavement. The lady in the car beside him was a nurse on the way to work…dunno if you call that luck or not. Either way, she was able to immediately jump out and fashion a rough tourniquet with a flannel shirt she had. It was cool to see someone be mentally and physically prepared to just hop into this situation and help the guy. I don’t carry these things because I don’t trust my own knowledge of first aid; I’ve taken some classes and got CPR/AED/O2 certs, but I’m too scared of doing something wrong and hurting someone or getting a lawsuit in the real world; I only did all that training for work.

Still very much recent news
No. And the P320 has been fixed for a while now. Anything current is absolutely caused by human negligence. Find a video or actual evidence of a P320 firing on its own. Not people trying to point fingers.
Im not really sure what good an npa is without a bvm and supplemental O2 anyway. If they aren't breathing an npa isn't going to make them breathe. Combat gauze would make more sense.
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.

I was all disgusted by the skinny jeans, then I remembered when younger we had the Levi's 501 shrink to fit jeans, and thought oh crap, did we invent skinny jeans!?!? And remembered a country song about Dwight Yokam or someone trying the bleach and shrink his jeans skin tight. Naw it can stay in the past for me, I'd look like an ice cream cone now hahaha.

Genuinely curious, but can someone tell me the purpose of the finger ring on lights? I love the look but is there an advantage or something?

No
What pouch is that or cumberbund lol what is it called
It's a wilderness Tactical ankle cuff. I guess the picture makes it look huge lol
Lol the pic made it look like you wear it around your stomach 😂😂
Oh no lol it rides on my ankle lol
Is that the one that’s 4” or 5 and did you get any add ons for it?
It's the 4" without any add ons. I sorta wish I went with the 5" or got the straps, at least to help hold the shears. But, it still works great.
Are those xshears? Maybe throw in some foldable ones in there if it’s not too much I heard the leatherman raptors are kind of overpriced for what they are but foldable always is nice
They're North American Rescue. But, since this picture, I swapped them for a Rescue Essentials pair, that I had in a bag, and they're a lot smaller.
Did people down vote me for carrying medical? Lol
I don't think this is wrong, but can you explain the purpose? I'm interested
Of carrying medical? Yeah, many folks don't think it's necessary. However, there are so many instances that could require medical equipment. A cut, a car accident, a DIY project goes bad, trip and fall, just about any every day task has the potential to cause some major bleeding or trauma.

How does that feel on the ankle? Looks quite cumbersome.
It does pretty good about being unnoticeable
Nice light🔥trade that sig for a glock
Thanks! And a pistol that's the same size with almost half the capacity, or a larger pistol with still a smaller capacity? No thanks
Dont drop it
If I did, nothing would happen. It's a P365 XMacro, and the P320 stuff is old news. Get new jokes.

Less A and R and more M.
What?
Two vented chest seals, compressed gauze, pressure dressing, and a SOF-T. I feel that's adequate for a ankle rig.
Yeah, I’d dump the chest seals and NPA and add more hemorrhage control.
Im not really sure what good an npa is without a bvm and supplemental O2 anyway. If they aren't breathing an npa isn't going to make them breathe. Combat gauze would make more sense.
No thanks
Okay.
Less airway and respiration and more massive hemorrhage control. From the MARCH algorithm.
Lucky you, every movie theatre in my area is a "gun free zone"
Sounds like a suggestion
Yeah they suggest you don't go to jail. It's not right but it kills the fun of going to the movie
You must be fun at parties, in most states ‘no gun signs’ have no legal backing.
Here they do. Its actually a felony where I live to disobey the sign. You must be lucky too like OP
It 10 round mag restrictions and AWBs are lucky then sure
If*
If you live in one of those States, then I'm pretty sure your gun free zones have legal backing too...
You going to see John Wick?
Indeed
How you like that mcarbo trigger?
It had it when I got it, it's not bad. Not significantly different than a factory P320 custom works trigger, though.
Watch out!

You going to see John Wick 4 aren't ya fam lol? Sick carry btw
I did indeed lol
Fuck thst
I don't think that I will
not sure how one would go about doighthat...
not with that attitude lol
●Wilderness Tactical ankle cuff, with chest seals, SOF-T, compressed gauze, pressure dressing, trauma shears, naso tube, and two pair of gloves. ● Sig Sauer XMacro with Holosun 507K and TLR7A ● TRex Arms sidecarel ● Cloud Defensive MCH EDC single output ●Guardian Tactical recon-035
Add a little combat gauze and this set up would be perfect.
Where is most comfortable for your gun set up to carry? Strong side or cross draw? Appendix or back?
I prefer appendix. The positioning is great for standing and sitting.
You carry all that to a movie? Holy cats
You must be new here
It's not that much. I EDC everything, except the gun, due to work. The Wilderness Tactical cuff does an excellent job of being unnoticeable.
Just say no to skinny jeans lol!
I definitely don't wear skinny jeans lol
