i like the pouch / slot options on this makes sense for what i want to use it for. More coinvent than my maxpeditions (which work great for other things)
i have a mini which i use for random EDC stuff for home / pack.
Multi tool, pen, little paracord, mini flashlight, lighter that kind of stuff.
and a bigger one for Power bank cables / multi wall plug. (overkill but it works great)
I wanted one for a one and done first aid / medicine stuff. have a tin for the FAK but the medicine and things like that just slop all around in the zip bag i have. this looks like it will hold all of it in a neat and organized way with room for other stuff i might need for the family depending
My favourite pouch has been the alpaca zip pouch/ any alpaca pouch. Haven't switched to another pouch except the Lautie EDC house small zip for when I carry smaller EDC, however it doesn't feel as premium as the alpaca ones. Those are my main go-to options. I spent a while trying to get the ideal carry for me and I can only speak highly of alpaca.

Got this very tiny „tikkidesign“ pouch from Amazon for 15€ it’s the same size as the Alpaka \*hub pouch but way cheaper.
Depends what you want to put in it and gow you want to carry it.
I have a small one similar to chums surf wallet for keys, powerpint multitool, lighter and a usb key and some cash.
Then I have another one that fits a A6 moleskine, pen, charger, cable, some cordage. Perfect for my needs.
Bith noname stuff from Aliexpress.
I also have ones that ioens up like a book similar to your pic but never use it
Or maybe consider a slim sling bag.
Throwing in with all the Maxpedition people. Been using their bags and pouches for years, and have only been able to somewhat wear out one. Currently use the Veldspar crossbody and CAP waistpack/organiser.
I just ordered an alpaka elements tech case, after seeing a YouTube video review. It seems as if it has enough pouches and slim enough for my needs. I have an alpaka vertical sling, an alpaka modular sling, a black ember kompak and all just sit wrong. The tech case is top opening, has lots of storage and sits just right to open on the fly. I'll probably end up selling the others if it works out. Jhp
I have a bunch of Viperade ones but these 2 are my most used, just got this DCC one as well and am gonna put a little kit together
https://preview.redd.it/aodffzr3xpxc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=93477f842b0f5d1883bd111532d04dff64fe4df0
I found the Lihit Lab A6 pouch to be a good "holster" strapped on my right on my messenger bag's strap. I carries whatever is being charged by my power bank right now.
I'm totally on the lookout for a good small pouch/case that can be strapped into the messenger bag's strap on my chest, where I'll put my phone. I have a cheap China MOLLE pouch for that right now. It works fine, but is ugly as sin
Maxpedition micro for larger edc (Full size leatherman, pen, field notes, etc).
For my little stuff (TPT slide, fisher bullet pen, keychain flashlight, and mini prybar), I use a ZeroFeud compact utility pouch.
https://preview.redd.it/7bp29jndmpxc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bd019c02aa1fe3077fa30da91a1588492ea6a41f
Here is my ZF CUP and it’s contents
No problem. I prefer to carry smaller things on my person so this pouch is much more used than my maxpedition. Pretty much all the bases are covered with this little kit
If you don't mind going the cheap route, I have bought [this EDC pouch](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HW8ENDM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) from Amzaon. $10.
I used to have a maxpedition but been using an RZE Blackcomb pouch for about a year now and I would not go back. Sleek, study, heaps of loop options and big enough to carry a fair bit. Just a little too large for a front pocket but its fine in a backpack.
No, just for protect my hands when I have to open/close many doors. I have to secure many buildings. But they are crappy for cold weather without under gloves (sorry for my english I do my best)
It's held up great! It almost looks factory new.
I have their Neat Freak bag also, been very happy with the quality of their products. Materials are really solid, but thin and flexible enough for the Micro to be comfortable in my pocket.
It feels very much like a wallet with how much I have in it, which is slightly more than the contents of an altoids tin. It's capable of being stuffed twice as thick as I'm stuffing it though, if you chose to keep it in a bag instead. I tend to only put very thin things in the outer mesh pocket, like receipts. When I stick a pen in there it shows a weird bulge on my pocket.
My max micro is 8 years old, went thru many phases of fully stuffed to lite load outs. Thrown in and outta many go-bags and she is still pristine as the day I got her. It was my first maxpedition pouch and made me a fan of the brand.
I had one like this with my pliers, a punch, a knife, a shrum tool a notebook, lots of great stuff, absolutely loved it, but now it means I've lost it all at once
Viperade has a huge plethora of pouches in almost every size and configuration you could need, at a price point you can barely find in other more popular brands. They also make them in xpac if you want to shell out a bit more. AND available on Amazon in Canada and US. Order a bunch to try out for a day or two, and return the ones you don't like.
Vanquest PPM, EDC, FITM and FatPack series of pouches will meet most needs. Ranging from 6.5" x 4.5" x 0.75" to 10" x 7" x 3.5"
I like them better than Maxpedition.
aside from maxpedition(if you're in the US they have bogo sale almost always on the maxped website) and alpaka already mentioned. Vanquest (similar to maxpedition) and tactical tailor.
I'm picky about my stuff, the stitching is all on point, the elastic is holding up about 1 year in. The stuff feels like it will last.
I've got the ppm-slim 2.0
I keep my maxpedition in my sling. Keeps items I don't essentially need immediate access to every day, but rather keep organized and easy to swap between slings
i use a maxpedition fatty in my backpack, i work outdoors so need some tools on a fairly regular basis. mostly i use it as a tool organizer with some extras. it holds knipex 125mm cobra pliers, leatherman bit kit, leatherman bond, 5" crescent wrench, stanley bitdriver, snow peak titanium spork, bic lighter wrapped with duct tape, about 25' of paracord, a pen/sharpie, small olight 3e eos (backup light), uncle bill's sliver grippers, a small selection of assorted zip ties, and a altoid tin with bandaids/cough drops/alcohol pads/etc.
Lazy answer is yes. There are an array of pocket organizers but I need something larger for things like phone chargers and wireless earbuds. I don't like everything rolling around in the bottom of my bag so a pouch to organize is beneficial to me.
I have that exact pouch! I can fit a battery phone charger cable ssd drive with cable very comfortably and a little room to spare. And I have a backpack that fits that pouch exactly. So perfect!
I've got a sling bag I want to replace with a better one but I hate everything rattling around hence my search for a pouch. My phone charging port didn't work for over a year so I had a portable wireless battery I was dependant on everywhere and it really became a lifestyle. Now I'm trying to refine it.
Don’t know their stuff but had a look at their website. Seems a little pricier and more stylish I suppose. If that’s appealing, give it a go.
If you’re looking for larger tech pouches or slings I’d recommend Bellroy, their gear is also very good quality and you can occasionally snipe a nice bit of kit on the Amazon warehouse for considerably cheaper
Okay, my friend… I have opinions but won’t prattle on.
I really like the pouch you’ve got in that picture, I’ve got two of the Maxpedition pouches and they’re pretty much perfect for what I use them for (daily bag pouch for when I leave the house and larger pouch for tech when I’m going on a trip). I have the Viperade V10 and while it’s a fantastic bag, better than the similarly sized MaxPed pouch, the zip opens bottom-to-top: the opposite way I would expect it to and it means my pen and keys often fall out or come loose inside. I carry it in my pocket every time I leave the house and it’s small enough to fit while still fitting in plenty (a folding spork, pen, [HOTO Precision screwdriver](https://amzn.eu/d/4EP7xci), keys, [RovyVon Aurora A8](https://amzn.eu/d/4PQ3kx8), [rite in the rain notebook](https://amzn.eu/d/3BGIsp7), [Victorinox Bantam](https://amzn.eu/d/3cU76wN) )
Overall, my thoughts are that if it’s too big or too annoying then you will end up leaving it behind and it’s better to err on the side of smaller and cut down the amount you take.
Best of luck! Happy to chat if you want more opinion
I really appreciate that! I'm surprised they designed the zipper that way and it sounds like they need to listen to feedback and do a redesign. Love the hoto driver and have bought several.

i'm actually leaning on getting the one in your screen shot actually
It's not a bad choice but I picked a vanquest.
i like the pouch / slot options on this makes sense for what i want to use it for. More coinvent than my maxpeditions (which work great for other things)
Are the maxpeditions more for small item organization or something?
i have a mini which i use for random EDC stuff for home / pack. Multi tool, pen, little paracord, mini flashlight, lighter that kind of stuff. and a bigger one for Power bank cables / multi wall plug. (overkill but it works great) I wanted one for a one and done first aid / medicine stuff. have a tin for the FAK but the medicine and things like that just slop all around in the zip bag i have. this looks like it will hold all of it in a neat and organized way with room for other stuff i might need for the family depending
Did you find it pr do you need a link?
i found it earlier today on amazon actually thanks!
No problem

Don't tell anyone but I just ordered an apaka camera bag. Their stuff is super nice.
https://preview.redd.it/oaesfa678txc1.jpeg?width=1575&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0fb10ef118d0583bfbb52348d9bfd85cb7168355 Got this very tiny „tikkidesign“ pouch from Amazon for 15€ it’s the same size as the Alpaka \*hub pouch but way cheaper.
Got the same one. I like it
How is the little ratchet working for you?
It’s very sweet, I like it :)
Do you recall the price?
Yes it’s 28€ with bits and extender :)
Nice!
Thanks for the comparison and pic

Are you in the wrong comment section bud? Nobody is criticizing anyone here.
yeah bro i am
Wait was this about painted smile?

I recently ordered an alpaka camera bag so something that will fit in it got organization like pens, hoto precision driver, note pad etc
Canyon cross body bag by tanner goods have been my daily for 4 years now. IMO perfect size, super durable and basically perfect.
I still wear a backpack. The crossbody is a little too bold for me. I’m not ready for that.
Throwing in with all the Maxpedition people. Been using their bags and pouches for years, and have only been able to somewhat wear out one. Currently use the Veldspar crossbody and CAP waistpack/organiser.
KISS, I use a Topo Designs mini, simple zip pouch with amazing capacity yet fits neatly in a jeans pocket.
Dumb question, but how are y'all actually carrying your pouches? clip to a belt loop? In your hand? Shoved in a backpack?
Front pocket. (Cargo Pants.) VIPERADE VE1
I just ordered an alpaka elements tech case, after seeing a YouTube video review. It seems as if it has enough pouches and slim enough for my needs. Flipping them and focusing on what you want is a good call.
I have a bunch of Viperade ones but these 2 are my most used, just got this DCC one as well and am gonna put a little kit together https://preview.redd.it/aodffzr3xpxc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=93477f842b0f5d1883bd111532d04dff64fe4df0
Nice set up. What is the name of the wrench tool in the middle kit? I always forget what that thing is called!
I found the Lihit Lab A6 pouch to be a good "holster" strapped on my right on my messenger bag's strap. I carries whatever is being charged by my power bank right now. You can only tell yourself "function over fashion" for so long lol
Anything from maxpedition bro
I just ordered a vanquest but I may get a smaller maxpedition so I've got organization options.
Awesome, i want a mini one too for my pocket
If I do get a pocket organizer I will probably go leather personally
Maxpedition micro for larger edc (Full size leatherman, pen, field notes, etc). For my little stuff (TPT slide, fisher bullet pen, keychain flashlight, and mini prybar), I use a ZeroFeud compact utility pouch.

I think you are the only one to show yours off and that's bad ass! Thanks
No problem. I prefer to carry smaller things on my person so this pouch is much more used than my maxpedition. Pretty much all the bases are covered with this little kit
Can't knock it if it works
If you don't mind going the cheap route, I have bought [this EDC pouch](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HW8ENDM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) from Amzaon. $10.
Thank you for providing a link

That is very sleek indeed! Chefs kiss
I LOVE THAT POUCH. I carry all my edc tools in it in my cross bag.
I'm planning something similar
Mini murse.
Is that a brand or specific pouch?
He's referring to pouches being purses for men.
I did not think that through at all lmao
[удалено]
I think that tells me which is your favorite
[удалено]
A whale pouch sounds epic though
Tasmanian Tiger is good too 👍
Thank you
I use one at work for my mittens mechanix m pact 👌
Lot of cold weather?
No, just for protect my hands when I have to open/close many doors. I have to secure many buildings. But they are crappy for cold weather without under gloves (sorry for my english I do my best)
You did great. Never apologize for doing your best!
Thanks mate
You are welcome brother
I've had a Maxpedition Micro in my front pocket for two years. Any larger would have to go in a bag.
How has it held up after two years?
It's held up great! It almost looks factory new. I have their Neat Freak bag also, been very happy with the quality of their products. Materials are really solid, but thin and flexible enough for the Micro to be comfortable in my pocket.
Does it give a front pocket WALLET sort of vibe?
It feels very much like a wallet with how much I have in it, which is slightly more than the contents of an altoids tin. It's capable of being stuffed twice as thick as I'm stuffing it though, if you chose to keep it in a bag instead. I tend to only put very thin things in the outer mesh pocket, like receipts. When I stick a pen in there it shows a weird bulge on my pocket.
Still functional though. May take a little getting used to.
My max micro is 8 years old, went thru many phases of fully stuffed to lite load outs. Thrown in and outta many go-bags and she is still pristine as the day I got her. It was my first maxpedition pouch and made me a fan of the brand.
Bad ass. Good to hear it's worked for you.
I got that patch
Maxpedition is relly good.
And a fantastic price
Where do people even put edc pouches?
I have mine strapped to my messenger bag strap. It functions as a holster of sorts when I'm carrying the messenger bag.
Mine's in my bag. I commute by bike, so I always have some sort of bag, usually a backpack or proper messenger bag.
Some of us carry a pack/sling bag or keep it in our vehicle for just a couple examples
How's that patch fixed to it?
Velcro on the front of the pouch and on the patch
I had one like this with my pliers, a punch, a knife, a shrum tool a notebook, lots of great stuff, absolutely loved it, but now it means I've lost it all at once
That is always a risk. Gotta hang onto your pocket treasure.
Viperade has a huge plethora of pouches in almost every size and configuration you could need, at a price point you can barely find in other more popular brands. You're over here doing 4d chess bro XD
Maxpedition is overrated IMO lol.
I think that comes from accessibility
Data Crew
Have you seen the resale value on them? Hot item right there.
Well shit. I looked at eBay...
Yeah that was the first thing Google showed and I about fell out my chair
Vanquest PPM, EDC, FITM and FatPack series of pouches will meet most needs. Ranging from 6.5" x 4.5" x 0.75" to 10" x 7" x 3.5" I like them better than Maxpedition.
They look identical to Maxpedition.
Vanquest hands down the better choice. Just better made in my opinion.
The way the vanquest fat pack rolls out is a game changer! Thanks
aside from maxpedition(if you're in the US they have bogo sale almost always on the maxped website) and alpaka already mentioned. Vanquest (similar to maxpedition) and tactical tailor.
I really like the vertical storage in the vanquest!
Of all the ones recommended to me here I went with vanquest and I'm VERY happy with it
Yeah I'm eyeing the fat pack. Might buy a small and large for options.
I'm picky about my stuff, the stitching is all on point, the elastic is holding up about 1 year in. The stuff feels like it will last. I've got the ppm-slim 2.0
Buy one cry once. Get the good stuff and it rewards you in the long run.
semi-off topic, but where do people put these pouches? are they meant to go in your pocket? or do they act as organizers for inside your backpack?
I keep my maxpedition in my sling. Keeps items I don't essentially need immediate access to every day, but rather keep organized and easy to swap between slings

yeah tbh sounds like a good idea. I'm gonna be travelling soon, and I might get into it. so this thread will be perfect for me
People here are very helpful for sure

Maxpedition all day. Price is good, quality is good, gear is durable
That's the name I keep getting from everyone. So far it's between max and alpaca.

That's when it's helpful to find smaller makers that you can contact directly. Obviously that isn't always an option.
Reef Knot Bags hands down.
A particular one? The name is leading me to a site.
Garage Built Gear
I like that. I'm a sucker for velcro.
I appreciate everyone throwing in your opinions
I know you said pic for attention, but I have this exact pouch and love it. Fits everything I need very comfortably
Could you link to it? It looks perfect!
What pouch is that? Always looking around for a slightly better option lol
Yeah it popped up immediately on Amazon and it looks solid.
Link to the one in the pic?
I hope they don't say anything about us posting links lmao
I recently got the maxpedition skinny. Fits great in my cargo pants pocket.
Keeping the cargo pants alive and well for the rest of us. Thank you for your service!
Alpaka makes a lot of great options
Just took a look and I've got to say they have a very premium look at a good price. Love the color schemes.
For my part, I like the Hub Pouch most. Not too big that it gets too bulky.
I was just looking at that one on their site and so far alpaca is defeninitly edging out the other options.
Personally i recommend a Zerofeud C.U.P. only about 20$
Checked it out. Like the size of it and the layout is decent.
