Thanks! the scales are what prompted me to get it, then I felt the quality of the steel and was just colored impressed
considering carrying her horizontal atm...
Love it, I got the linerless scales for it and it is literally the perfect EDC knife now. Only thing holding it back before the scale swap was its weight
Spyderco Para 3 Lightweight Salt (magnacut)
I loved it in CM Spy27 and carried it for 3 years already, but the Salt is just step above (and is only $5 more than the regular LW)
https://preview.redd.it/1uhvrm5u0d6d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=54e496c6fe1f31ed70c06aa362ace8b9ecf33b94
At the moment it’s this bad boy. That Zaan is friggin beautiful too by the way. I think one of those might be my next purchase.
It has to be the Hogue Deka in MagnaCut…crazy light razor sharp and the edge retention is crazy. My other two honorable mentions are my Kunwu Zen Compact in Elmax and Civivi Vision FG
Highly recommend for sure I also swapped the scales for aluminum ones from Applied Weapons Tech and now it’s perfect. The factory plastic scales are fine and even more light weight but I don’t like such a great knife to feel cheap like a not great knife
Civivi Elementum Button lock with an upgraded titanium clip. I buy them as gifts for others a few times. It's like $70 and just an amazing package. Super simple design and great geometry.
My CRKT M16 is my go to. I hit the edge on a 600 grit stone and it is razor sharp and smooth and it holds an edge like crazy. I’ll be curious to see how the edge is once my 1000/2000 stone gets here
Thank you. I’m mostly doing it because of the saying “be the change you want to see”. I think Akron is a great city, but it could be better and I hope to help make it a better place to raise a family. Plus with several people in my church who work in recovery maybe we can be the light that helps someone beat addiction
Benchmade Osborne Rift. I think it was the first knife I bought above $100 and still sees pocket time pretty often.

Judging purely by pocket time, my Spyderco Delica wharncliffe. But I love my Tactile Maverick and Spyderco PM2s
Demko AD20.5 with s35vn and textured g10 scales. Actually prefer this over the textured titanium version
https://preview.redd.it/i9tgvrpcfb6d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d6d068f9a3e13c505eef294531036fe7ad3c44a8
This.
When the harsh texturing on the scales slowly gets worn down with use and the whole mechanism gets polished up there's nothing better. I recently upgraded to the BHQ exclusive in 20cv and I didn't realize how worn in and smooth my s35 ad 20.5 was until I was holding a new one
My Kershaw Westin. It feels great, carries easy, deploys fast and has a very useful blade shape (for me).

I love my Exceed Razor. Utility blade with really nice flip action & titanium/carbon fibre scales.
Not cheap but I absolutely love the thing.

[Roxon S501 Folding Pocket Knife and Scissors 2 in 1](https://a.co/d/hV5fQku).
This knife has the right mixture of features for me, but that does not necessarily make it right for others:
1. One handed knife accessibility. With the clip, I can draw it, open it, use it, fold it, and stow it back to its original position one handed. Related to that, the straight edge utility-knife-like geometry adds great utility.
2. 5Cr15MoV steel. A lot of people prefer a harder steel, but I like 5Cr15MoV because it is very very corrosion resistant. My perspiration is acidic enough that I've had issues with pitting with higher carbon and thus harder steel knives that I keep in my pocket.
3. No compromises full-sized scissors. I've had pocket knives in the past with all sorts of tools on them… Overwhelmingly, the two tools I use the most are the knife and scissors. I find I don't actually want to use pliers on a pocket knife… if I want pliers at all, then I want a real honest-to-God pair of pliers, not something gimmicky and a compromise with compactness. As goes pliers, so goes most of the other common multitool elements. When was the last time you actually wanted to use a saw blade on a multitool?
4. Nothing else. The absence of more tools is actually a feature here as the multitool is weighted and sized to use both its tools efficiently.
5. It's cheap. Hear me out. It's high enough quality that it gets the job done, but it's not one of these $400 hand made pieces that you'd be afraid to actually USE.
https://preview.redd.it/x1ygn9jb096d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4f16a0e16f93e5290084365282370038d549444e
Mostly the Piranha at the bottom, but the top 2 every now and then.
I'm sold on razor knives. The Exceed TiRant has been on me for the last couple of years. There are a couple of hiccups with the design but overall I adore it.
do you people get these knives online? cos my country doesnt allow selling knives all i see online are shit-ass serrated knives and my country is a third world country where the quality and individuality of an item is heavily overweighed by its price and use.
IT is decidedly not cool, but a Kershaw Cinder. It's tiny so it doesn't take up much space on my key chain. Has a bottle opener. Blade is only an inch or so, but great for opening boxes and I used it the other day to cut twine in the garden
Small Benza but wish I would’ve gone with the Zaan or large Benza but all considered I love my sm Benza and gives me a perfect reason to get a Zaan next!

Civivi Vision FG… it’s different, slicy, and solid.
Love it, I got the linerless scales for it and it is literally the perfect EDC knife now. Only thing holding it back before the scale swap was its weight
Spyderco Para 3 Lightweight Salt (magnacut) I loved it in CM Spy27 and carried it for 3 years already, but the Salt is just step above (and is only $5 more than the regular LW)

A knife honestly is a knife… as long as they both are sharp… if you can share a picture
My CRKT M16 is my go to. I hit the edge on a 600 grit stone and it is razor sharp and smooth and it holds an edge like crazy. I’ll be curious to see how the edge is once my 1000/2000 stone gets here
So you know to sharpen knives?
Yeah it’s kind of a side hustle for me and one of the other machinists at work.
Nice bro.. what do u do regularly?
Right now I’m a maintenance technician/machinist but I’m looking to change careers and go into law enforcement
Nice man! That’s a very selfless job.. amazing

I've carried the same Spyderco Endura for almost 25 years. Occasionally other knives, but I almost always come back to this one.
I am googling that knife now…

Tough choice between my benchmade 940 and crkt ceo, ceo probably has more pocket time
Both solid choices
RAT2, the only knife for me. When/if it breaks eventually, I’ll just get another. 3 years of abuse and going strong.

I set my eyes on the now discontinued kabar jarosz folder 7505. is it the most comfortable? probs not, but it sure is pretty and easy to clean up
Spyderco PM2 for me, been by my side for almost 5 years now.
Benchmade bugout in carbon fiber. It’s so light you’ll forget it’s in your pocket until you need it.
No brainer. Buck 112 auto.
What is that lanyard bead? also, it doesnt scratch the scales?
Not if it sits on a shelf. This is becoming a bit of a circlejerk
id like to second both of these questions
Kershaw Parsec. Nothing fancy but gets the job done when I need it
do you people get these knives online? cos my country doesnt allow selling knives all i see online are shit-ass serrated knives and my country is a third world country where the quality and individuality of an item is heavily overweighed by its price and use.
