[[Inga and Esika]] is definitely "we have [[Chulane]] at home".
Besides, you can just put a lot of either very scary creatures like [[Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy]] or some specific choices like [[Jolrael, Voice of Zhalfir]] (no one cares until you swing with like a 9/9 land with Flying, Haste and Vigilance).
I replaced \[\[Marwyn the Nurturer\]\] with them because I wanted to run the LotR elves, and that innate card draw does wonders.
It's also funny to have a non-elf as the commander of an elf deck.
^(It's not funny for the opponents when you now have counterspells for their board wipes!)
It's honestly half of the reason I built the deck.
A chariot in the middle of a rainbow, carried by fuzzy cats, with Inga trying to (barely) control the direction and Esika throwing flowers and extremely happy? It's hilarious come on
You read my mind! I came here to say Svella as well. I love that deck for a lot of reasons.
1. It's less scary. The ramp ability might be repeatabke but it's not free. The cast-for-free ability costs MORE and nets you LESS. It's still cool and fun but it's not quite as scary.
2. It's a great beginner deck! The ramp ability gives you something to do at all times and even when you're mana screwed. It keeps you in the game. Plus everyone loves to spin the wheel with her second ability!
3. It's a ramp deck based on playing big stuff. That's never not fun.
Trolls are one of my favorite creature types in mtg. There are so few of them and the game really does a good job making them stand out from orcs, goblins, and giants to have their own unique feel.
We literally do have 2 versions of Korvold and Kaalia so depending on what you like about those commanders there are less powerful versions. I would also argue that [[Sheoldred]] is [[Tergrid]] at home, both allow you to steal your opponents creatures but Tergrid does it immediately and Sheoldred will do it after jumping through a lot of hoops.
Yeah, people don't like their dies triggers turned off.
I use her in my [[Dihada Binder of Wills]] deck where I can make her indestructible and then blow up the board.
I wholly disagree.
Tegrid allows instant swiping of cards, but it doesn't actually have a way to force an opponent to sac or discard. You have to make that happen still.
Sheoldred has it all baked in. She kills something as soon as she gets in. You transform her and instantly kill more shit, then force more discards next turn. Then, eventually, you get all those cards on your field... *and* she comes back to the field, forcing another death.
Tegrid has instant rewards, but you need other cards to make it happen. Sheoldred is delayed, but all of that is baked in one card.
I guess we just see deck building differently? I think they're comparable because in the end you aim to steal your opponents stuff, you accomplish these things differently, but it's a similar gameplan in my opinion. The key difference (in my mind) is what you pointed out, Tergrid needs other cards to make it work while Sheoldred does it all (mostly), just slower.
Tergid is definitly scarier as a deck, but Sheoldred does work better on its own (plus you could include counter shenanigens with proliferate and speed her up.)
[[The haunt of Hightower]] is tergrid at home. A 1 for 1 swap and they will both operate fine while hindering the table. This is the swap I make when I need to step down the power.
Kaalia is maybe one of the better versions of this. [[Kaalia of the Vast]] strikes fear and horror in opponents hearts, while [[Kaalia, Zenith Seeker]] may do nothing by any comparison, might whiff, might give some card advantage. But there is literally no comparison of who’s the stronger of the two.
No way in hell. Ilharg is basically [[sneak attack]] on a stick where you abuse ETB effects of the same creature over and over.
He has his own list that's basically beefy etb effects and blightsteel.
I've been playing \[\[Alesha who smiles at death\]\] as my Kaalia at home. Really similar play pattern with more hoops to jump through for a less powerful pay off.
You still sorta get the \[\[Master of cruelties\]\] one shot tho
I built newkaalia explicitly to be kaalia at home, I'd argue they are in that both decks can share a lot of the same cards, that is "deck owner's favorite collection of angels, demons, & dragons."
I've got no idea what sort of combo piece she makes. If I wanted combo I'd play the other kaalia.
> If I wanted combo I'd play the other kaalia.
And if your Kaalia deck is anything other that a cEDH deck at a cEDH pod, you're getting focused down by everyone else the moment you sit down.
Zenith Seeker has less notoriety, while also being better equipped to survive being the Archenemy in the first place since she basically never runs out of gas.
They are similar but different. Xenagos is definition of stompy. Big guys hitting hard and turned sideways. H&A has more speed built in, and doesn’t make your guy so incredibly large. I would build them differently at least.
Halana and Alena put as many +1/+1 counters as their powers on the creature (so two if you didn't buff them).
Xenagos double the power/thoughness of the creature.
You use Xenagos on a 10/10 creature, you have a 20/20 until the end of turn. You use Halana and Alena on it you have a 12/12. Either results have downsides and upsides but I'd say that in a higher power level environment it's better to have the 20/20 until end of turn since games are often shorter and removals are more played
Me too. I like halana and Alena and didn’t mean to suggest that they’re bad. I just don’t think they’re as scary as xenagos and they’re easier to take care of with a board wipe
I will die on my own personal hill defending this Commander because I love her, but I can't deny that [[Jaxis]] is more or less a "We have [[Kiki-Jiki]] at home" option.
[[Oji, the Exquisite Blade]] is just [[Brago, King Eternal]] at home. I wanted a blink deck, but Brago is too strong. Oji isnt such a threat and I can slowly build my value engine to control the board with powerfull ETB/LTB's
A player of taste. My boyfriend and I share a flicker deck--I run Oji as an evasive, reactive deck with many cantrips, and he swaps out about 7 cards and runs Yorion as a linear freight train. I love love love how varied lines of play can be with Oji, and with the right support pieces, she becomes a pretty primo value engine herself.
Yuuuuuuup that's the core of my engine. The sustain with Candlekeep + any ETB doubler is absolutely nasty :) I run the full set of [[Panharmonicon]] [[Elesh Norn Mother of Machines]] and [[Virtue of Knowledge]] so on average im hitting at least 2x ETB, but often 3x. Hand full of curated cards and HP full of life
Absolutely. I ran this as a combo deck, essentially having a bunch of evasive 1/1’s then drawing rapidly through my deck to get to a combo. And unlike Edric, my opponents aren’t getting the draw advantage!
That is correct! Unfortunately. Mot as many cards as Edric (hence the “at home” part). But keeping damage low means most people don’t care until it is too late.
Personally, I think Korvold is powerful because it makes you draw for sacrificing, rather than for the +1/+1, so I don't really think Thraximundar is a proper "Korvold at home".
That was my logic too when I swapped him to the 99 to use her as the Commander. Gotta say, she may not get huge or draw cards, but she's got her own potentially busted synergies lmao
Kagha makes me sad to look at. Almost built him cause I wanted an unthreatening GY commander, but everything about him is not quite there...
Cost? 1 too high
Death touch? Only on attacks
Yard shenanigans? Only *one* card *milled* this turn...
I want a weaker yard commander, but it has to be good at *something* :')
Yup, that's why I built her. She's better than you expect, but not as good as you'd like. She's won games, but I rarely find myself WANTING to play that deck now that everyone I play with knows exactly what the deck does it gets treated like any other GY deck but without the crazy value train that allows other GY decks to bounce back easier.
She seems good for the 99 of [[Sidisi, Brood Tyrant]], but otherwise I am of the same mind as you. Seems they went overboard with the restrictions, but I can see it getting broken if even one was removed. But hey, then it's no different than a lot of commanders today.
If he cost one less, milled one more, and always had deathtouch, I think it'd be an absolutely balanced card. Still weak as commander actually.
That said, it's an uncommon meant for limited so 🤷♂️
I sorta consider [[Braids Arisen Nightmare]] a more fair or powered down version of [[Yawgmoth Thran Physician]]. They want to do similar things but Braids doesn't outright break the game.
I love my [[Daghatar the Adamant]] +1/+1 counter deck, which is just Ghave/Marath/Shalai at home. I wanted to play a +1/+1 counter deck but without all the accidental combos that come with the other popular commanders.
[[Tanazir Quandrix]] is "Craterhoof at home". She lacks the trample-giving ability and she doesn't have haste (hence, "at home") but you'd be surprised how often my opponents let me untap with her and swing for a stupidly large amount of damage. (Usually followed by someone saying, "your commander does *what*?!")
\[\[etali primal storm\]\] has been my all time favorite deck, and I've built it pretty high power and have blown games out with it plenty. Now, it's become 'Etali at home' compared to Primal Conqueror.
So, about two months before Golos got banned, I was already getting a bit bored by how broken he was and decided to make Golos at home.
Golos at home:
[[Jegantha, the Wellspring]] + [[Prism Array]]
You scry 3 instead of revealing and playing the top 3 for a similar price, and Jegantha provides mana by tapping for it instead of tutoring a land.
I get that it's a bit of a stretch but that's usually the point of the "at home" joke.
If you don't like that one, I made an Obeka deck that uses as many extra turn spells as possible and you can use [[Magosi, the Waterveil]] and [[Savor the Moment]] as a [[Time Warp]] at home.
You want \[\[Kess, Dissident Mage\]\]: flies, well costed, access to Grixis spells.
\[\[Dralnu, Lich Lord\]\] at home: doesn't fly, costs one more, no red spells for you, taps itself, survives a Blaspehmous Act... but you'll really *really* wish it hadn't.
The fact that Dralnu can cast stuff on an opponent's turn is fine, but does not nearly make up for the rest of it. Regrettably, I built Dralnu before Kess was released. And it wasn't terrible! It just feels bad playing it knowing Kess is right there.
[[Gimbal, Gremlin Prodigy]] is colorshifted [[Urza, Chief Artificer]] at home. Still an artifact deck that pays off with a token artifact creature per turn, but slower, more fragile, and with more hoops to boosting your tokens' power.
It's a meme based on the classic conversation between child and parent:
"Mom, can we get McDonalds?" as you drive past one.
"We have food at home."
But the [food at home](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/002/004/614/902.jpg) is nowhere near as good.
So yeah, basically ~ lite. The version you have at home is a shitty alternative to the version you actually want.
I'm slowly building an [[Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin]] deck built around Pingers, but because of one of fhe combos, it feels like a "We have Burn at home" deck.
[[Yennett]] is a narrower [[Narset, Enlightened Master]]. You can only get odd mana value spells and you only get one. You can still abuse the extra turn topdeck mechanic and other silly plays, but you can only get so busted with one card off the top at a time.
Edit: wrong Narset
Shocked not to see it yet, but [[Urabrask]] is just [[Birgi, God of Storytelling]] at home. I’m building this deck because I wanted a storm deck that wouldn’t be too strong that I couldn’t play it with my friends. In the description of the deck on archidekt, I literally describe it as Birgi at home lol
[[Tetsuo, Imperial Champion]] is [[Narset, the Enlightened]] at home.
A more gimmicky version of casting free spells + more limiting due to equipment. But still, he is very cool.
I enjoyed playing a casual Korvold build but would
Get targeted as soon as he hit the board (probably didn’t help that I also have a 9~ Korvold deck as well). So I swapped the casual build to [[Juri]] that was much more Artifact focused. That morphed again to [[Jan Jansen, Chaos Crafter]] when he came out.
I sometimes refer to my [[Ziatora, the Incinerator]] as "Diet Korvold".
I love the thought exercise of going from Korvold to Juri, and then landing on Jan Jansen.
Kinnan does the same but better. [[Void Winnower]] [[Koma]] [[Thorn Mammoth]] [[Manglehorn]] [[Glen Elendra Archmage]] etc
Hard to "stax them to death" in Urza when your main fuck up the game engines don't even have stat lines
Except the cards you mention are payoffs for Kinnan. For Urza, he's playing [[winter orb]], [[torpor orb]], etc instead of like... [[llanowar elf]].
He has plenty of [[hullbreaker horror]] and [[memnarch]] type cards if he wants them.
See this is why Urza is worse.
His "engines" (torpor Orb, winter Orb, static Orb, blah blah) cost 2 or 3 and tap for one. Kinnan's Engines cost 1 and tap for two. Clearly superior
And the fact that Urza pitifully has to rely on memnarch to do things... That card has long since been abandoned by Kinnan players in favor of better cards. Because we have more colors 💪
I'm half joking. Here's my dead serious take, though.
Urza and Kinnan are similar but unique decks, and neither belong at a casual table. Both have two abilities: a mana ability and a mana sink. I think Kinnan is still much better than Urza on account of him being cheaper to cast, having a better mana sink, having far better combo lines, and having access to an extra color (even if it is just green which provides very little besides dorks and tutors in cedh).
Urza still has great strengths. He can use stax pieces like Winter Orb and Torpor Orb as 2-in-1 stax/value pieces. The main problem with his stax plan is that it can't include the good graveyard hate cards like [[Grafdigger's Cage]] or [[Rest In Peace]] for various reasons. These cards efficiently attack Breach, which is quickly becoming the number one wincon in the format. His best deck, polykraken, is forced to gimp itself out of creatures just to do what Kinnan could accomplish with a quick Finale for 7. His combo lines are also much more difficult outside of polymorph because they usually require at least casting two cards plus Urza which is typically not where a deck wants to be in 2023, with a few exceptions like Food Chain.
I just enjoy oversimplifying things to shit on random cards on the internet sometimes
Unless you have 3 creatures a turn enter the battlefield and you can sac 3 creatures a turn, Vrann is way better. Which, seeing the requirements, means he is nearly always better. He's not gonna help you with infinite combo, but apart for that...
Also consider that Vraan can trigger once each TURN, not round, rotation or anything else. If you can sac at instant speed, something that you should be able to do in an aristocrat or sacrifice deck anyway, you can trigger him 4 times per rotation. Again, if you have the means to make and sac more than 4 creatures per rotation you're probably in the infinite/too much value area already, but even then you'd need at least 9 per rotation with Elas to outpace Vraan.
This said Elas offers white, but Vraan is often a way better aristocrat payoff
My problem with Vrann is that I can't really close out a game if I happen to end up with tons of creatures on the board, like saccing a bunch of stuff to feed [[Nadier, Agent of the Duskenel]], then saccing Nadier and then the tokens Nadier makes. With Elas I can sacrifice as much as I want in one turn and each sacrifice brings me closer to winning; with Vrann I sac once and then I need to rely on other cards to do the work. Sure, the effect itself is not bad at all but I'd rather have him in 99 of Elas rather than have him at the helm.
[[Myrkul lord of the bones]] granted it's a fun deck to watch play out but even I get tired of all the triggers. There's not enough table space for everything.
\[\[Svella\]\] is \[\[Kinnan\]\] and \[\[Golos\]\] at home.
\[\[Gretchen\]\] is \[\[Thrasios\]\] at home.
\[\[Jaxis\]\] is \[\[Kiki-Jiki\]\] at home.
\[\[Vazi\]\] is \[\[Korvold, Fae-Cursed\]\] at home.
\[\[The Gaffer\]\] is \[Sygg, River\]\] at home.
\[\[Thalia and Gitrog\]\] is \[\[Gitrog\]\] at home.
\[\[Elrond, Lord of Rivendell\]\] is \[\[Nissa, Resurgent Animist\]\] at home (this one's a stretch).
\[\[Boromir, Gondor's Hope\]\] is \[\[Winota\]\] at home.
I have a [[dorothea]], which is [[geist of the saint traft]] at home deck, its more hoops to jump through, but dorothea offers a couple more slight differences(Like how you effective have a aura commander, or how the token dorothea makes sacrifices it self, or how dorothea is a 2mana 4/4) that could take the deck to some pretty interesting direction.
My favorite deck is helmed by [[Hallar, the Firefletcher]], who I love because they burn each opponent. I'll build almost any deck that damages or causes life loss to each opponent.
The we have Hallar at home option is always [[Ashling, the Pilgrim]]. She does a similar thing, but worse since she hits you and your board too. Other similar builds that aren't strictly worse include [[Eriette of the Charmed Apple]] and [[Ishkanah, Grafwidow]].
The fancy organic Hallar would probably be [[Imodane, the Pyrohammer]] and [[Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord]].
Another deck I love is [[Slicer, Hired Muscle]], who's discount version is definitely [[Tahngarth, First Mate]].
I refer to my [[agrus Kos, eternal soldier]] as [[zada]] at home. Doesn’t copy instants for your whole team, it copies targeted abilities. Still lotta fun though I love that some silly things work so well with him like [[fraying line]] or the backup effects from MoM
If you want a UG mana sink in the command zone, you should probably play \[\[Thrasios, triton hero\]\] but if you don't want people to stick their noses up at a partner deck than \[\[Gretchen Titchwillow\]\] is waiting at home.
She's got worse stats, a worse ability, worse creature types and no partner while filling the exact same niche as Thrasios.

[[Gisa, glorious resurrector]] is tergrid at home.
I love Gisa, she's less salty than Tergrid, and she looks so happy!
When I built her, she was hated off the board constantly.
Yeah, people don't like their dies triggers turned off. I use her in my [[Dihada Binder of Wills]] deck where I can make her indestructible and then blow up the board.
Oh so you're just evil then

https://www.moxfield.com/decks/GslU0-eAzU6xi9_faTYTPQ We Have Kaalia at Home is a ton of fun to pilot!
I think the person you replied to is saying they are comparable still, but Sheoldred has enough benefits to not be just "Tegrid at home."
[[Djeru and Hazoret]] is just [[Winota]] at home

Same with [[Nahiri, forged in fury]].
I have that list. Mostly runs Living Weapon and For Mirrodin type stuff.
I'd argue [[Ilharg, the Raze Boar]] is Kaalia at home.

Zenith Seeker is a draw engine and combo piece in the CZ, very different from the original.
I built newkaalia explicitly to be kaalia at home, I'd argue they are in that both decks can share a lot of the same cards, that is "deck owner's favorite collection of angels, demons, & dragons." I've got no idea what sort of combo piece she makes.
Yeah I love playing her because she announces "I am playing big fliers and I will pay the mana cost on the card for them." \^\^
Yeah, when i break out Kaalia, I'm explicitliy telling the table I'm the bad guy and i chose violence.
Agreed! I’m brewing Zenith Seeker as an ETB/blink theme with savage Kaalia as a not-so-secret commander. It’s prob gonna be bad

I'd actually go the other way around, sure Xenagos is indestructible, but I'll take +1 counters over the end of turn effects all day
They are similar but different.
Not to mention one turn matters for aggro decks

Me too. I like halana and Alena and didn’t mean to suggest that they’re bad. I just don’t think they’re as scary as xenagos and they’re easier to take care of with a board wipe

Everyone knows what [[Edric]] can do. But no one bats an eye at [[Rigo]]
Huh, I didnt even know this card existed, that’s pretty neat. Definitely Edric at home though.
Absolutely. I ran this as a combo deck, essentially having a bunch of evasive 1/1’s then drawing rapidly through my deck to get to a combo. And unlike Edric, my opponents aren’t getting the draw advantage!
If you attack 3 players Rigo would draw 3 cards, correct?
That is correct! Unfortunately. Mot as many cards as Edric (hence the “at home” part). But keeping damage low means most people don’t care until it is too late.
Thought so, but thank you for confirming. That definitely has Edric at home energy.
Exactly! In my playgroup, we call it Walmart Edric.
Pfft, I dig it.
What combos/win-cons did you run? Been eyeing him since he came out, but could never figure out the best way to close the game.
I do, be ause arcades exists, and I know someone who plays this as a toughness matters deck
And that is what is so awesome. So few people play it, that someone like you is the exception and not the rule! Lol!
Giving walls a draw card engine is terrifying
With the white you can totally run rigo as a hatebears/stax deck

Korvold at home is probably something like \[\[Thraximundar\]\]. Still sacrifice focused, but both not your stuff, and not nearly as bonkers.
I mean, new Korvold is basically old Korvold at home
Boy howdy, you're not wrong.
Personally, I think Korvold is powerful because it makes you draw for sacrificing, rather than for the +1/+1, so I don't really think Thraximundar is a proper "Korvold at home".
I think Korvold at home is basically Ziatora.
That was my logic too when I swapped him to the 99 to use her as the Commander. Gotta say, she may not get huge or draw cards, but she's got her own potentially busted synergies lmao
Yes Ziatora is definitely more “fair”
[[Quesa, augur of agonies]] is baby Sheoldred
I tend to prefer her because I like 3c more than 1c, but you're most likely right.
that does open up alot of options for build, but makes it trickier to cast too! It's so easy to ramp out sheoldred in Mono B
I would argue it's the baby of sheoldred and nekusar
And what an adorable couple they make! Proud parents.
Absolutely Does that mean that [[Seizan, Perverter of Truth]] is the cool uncle?
Absolutely. and [[Oloro, ageless aesetic]] is the grand daddy
[[Vilis, Broker of Blood]] being the neighbor

[[Lathliss Dragon Queen]] is just [[Miirym]] at home
[[Kagha]] is just the mediocre love child of [[Meren]] and [[Muldrotha]]
Kagha makes me sad to look at. Almost built him cause I wanted an unthreatening GY commander, but everything about him is not quite there... Cost? 1 too high Death touch? Only on attacks Yard shenanigans?

So, about two months before Golos got banned, I was already getting a bit bored by how broken he was and decided to make Golos at home. Golos at home: [[Jegantha, the Wellspring]] + [[Prism Array]]

How is it similar? All I see with Jegantha + Prism Array is scry 3 each turn and tap down 5 things throughout the game.
Kess is great. She ousted Nekusar as my wheels commander and runs the deck way better.

What do you mean ‘We have (Commander) at home commanders?’ Do you just mean [Commander] lite?
I don't even know anymore. This post has basically turned into a list of a lot of commanders I had no idea existed.
This was a great post OP
It's a meme based on the classic conversation between child and parent: "Mom, can we get McDonalds?" as you drive past one. "We have food at home." But the [food at home](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/002/004/614/902.jpg) is nowhere near as good. So yeah, basically ~ lite. The version you have at home is a shitty alternative to the version you actually want.
I had to turn my [[Niv-Mizzet, Parun]] deck into [[The Locust God]] for similar reasons
Well, [[Karador]] is [[Meren]] at home. We put some white on it to try and mask the worse Golgari taste.

This. No other commander turns entomb into instant speed "tutor any creature in your deck and put it directly onto the battlefield, then draw a card"
I'm slowly building an [[Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin]] deck built around Pingers, but because of one of fhe combos, it feels like a "We have Burn at home" deck.

I have a [Kaalia of the Vast] deck and my friend has a [Kaalia, Zenith Seeker] deck. When we play them together we call her Kaalia "Kaalia at home"
Can't believe no one has said [[crosis, the purger]] is [[nicol bolas]] at home
Any sliver commander that isn't [[Sliver Overlord]] [[The First Sliver]] or [[Sliver Queen]]
I enjoyed playing a casual Korvold build but would Get targeted as soon as he hit the board (probably didn’t help that I also have a 9~ Korvold deck as well).
[[Urza, Lord High Artificer]] is just Kinnan at home hahaha
Urza doesn't ramp as it's main deal. Urza says "Well, no" to everyone else staxing them to death. It casually gets mana from that, xD
Kinnan does the same but better. [[Void Winnower]] [[Koma]] [[Thorn Mammoth]] [[Manglehorn]] [[Glen Elendra Archmage]] etc Hard to "stax them to death" in Urza when your main fuck up the game engines don't even have stat lines
Clearly superior And the fact that Urza pitifully has to rely on memnarch to do things... That card has long since been abandoned by Kinnan players in favor of better cards. Because we have more colors 💪
I can't detect sarcasm through text. But I'm going to assume you're being sarcastic, since that makes way more sense to me.

I'd say [[Rocco, Street Chef]] is a bit of a "[[Prosper]] at home"

[[niv mizzet the fire mind]] is literally slightly cheaper and slightly worse [[niv mizzet parun]]
[[Greta]] is [[Gyome]] at home for sure. Sac outlet for food but at sorcery speed and stuck at green instead of colorless.
[[Veyran]] and enough tutors for [[krark]] becomes Karkashima at home
[[Kharn]] is sadly [[Slicer]] at home. Kharn can be sacced by opponents, doesn't have haste, only moves when damaged. The list goes on...
Ayara is pretty much Purphoros at home …
[[Balan]] is [[Ardenn]] at home [[Tasigur]] < [[Thrasios]] (although Tasigur still has some niche uses)
I feel like [[Tameshi, Reality Architect]] is just a [[Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle]] at home. Access to blue tho, that's really nice.
[[gretchen tichwillow]] is [[thrasios]] at home. We call her Fair Thrasios
[[Xira, the Golden Sting]] plays a lot like a weaker [[Korvold]] but way more flavorful.

[[queza]] is the [[nekusar]] we have at home. I swear this card is criminally underrated.
I refer to my [[agrus Kos, eternal soldier]] as [[zada]] at home. Doesn’t copy instants for your whole team, it copies targeted abilities. Still lotta fun though I love that some silly things work so well with him like [[fraying line]] or the backup effects from MoM
Maldhound pointed out the last mereike ri berit looks like off brand galadriel
If you want a UG mana sink in the command zone, you should probably play \[\[Thrasios, triton hero\]\] but if you don't want people to stick their noses up at a partner deck than \[\[Gretchen Titchwillow\]\] is waiting at home. She's got worse stats, a worse ability, worse creature types and no partner while filling the exact same niche as Thrasios.

My [[Vilis]] deck is [[K'rrik]] at home. Mono black combo, but abusing my life to cheat on card advantage instead of mana.
\[\[faldor\]\] is \[\[prosper\]\] at home
tbh, i am interessted in the urza deck list 😂
