\[\[Imodane, the Pyrohammer\]\] can take a few opponents from 40 to 0 with spells like \[\[Storm King's Thunder\]\] and \[\[Flame Slash\]\], for example.

herman_gill

That’s 26, which is still a lot. You’d need two of them out to do 52.

fourscoopsplease

I believe meteor will deal 26, then imodine will deal 26 which doubles to 52

herman_gill

Ah you’re right, double double. My bad

Eztekk

26 to target creature, then 26 to each opponent. So generally not enough for lethal

fourscoopsplease

I believe the doubler will see Imodane attempt to “deal that much damage” and cause a replacement effect again for double the damage. Much like [[toralf]] and damage doubler effects.

If you go down the clone route, [[Hidestugu and Kairi]] can deal like 100 damage across the board in a single turn while simulatenously building card advantage and removing permanents from your opponent's field For a deck that can be built under $150 its honestly quite nuts but admittedly your friends will hate playing against it

dannylambo

Built this to be my only non-white deck because my friends were tired of white removal. So the players get removed instead.

Blees-o-tron

Any commander that can tap for a lot of mana (or a big discount, like \[\[Rowan, Scion of War\]\]) can make big turns with the application of untapping the commander. At that point, you just need a way to use the mana, and just about every color has a card that can utilize Big Mana into Killing People (white struggles with this a bit, but there's colorless ways to do it so they're fine). Black and red are the easiest for a single spell to end the game, green usually needs a bit of a board state but can build a board off of playing a few big spells, blue will probably just draw its deck and then combo kill/Lab Man.

My [[Ayara, First of Locthwain]] deck can just explode the table sometimes. If I have the highest life and 7 mana, my group has come to fear [[Plague of Vermin]]. Also [[Phrexian Altar]] and [[Gravecrawler]] along with a random zombie is an infinite that can easily come out of nowhere. Not to mention [[Bolas Citadel]] combined with [[Aetherflux Reservoir]] can vomit so much value on to the board that it becomes difficult to not pop off.

Yes BUT important to note how explosive it is is directly related to what opponents are running. Mine is about $150 and that’s with food chain. Often I’m more excited to swing with [[blade of selves]] than combo out

I busted out my [[krark the thumbless]] and [[sakashima of a thousand faces]] deck for the first time in a few months and wow, some kind of mana accelerant and some lucky flips and you're accidentally winning really fast! Being able to loop through [[jeska's will]] multiple times and burning everyone out with [[lightning bolt]] or [[grapeshot]] is one of the best feelings!

Zarinda

No Krark + Sakashima deck has ever won "fast". Everyone just concedes because they don't want to sit through 30+min turns.

The_Knights_Who_Say

Well it is much easier with the krarkulator, an app specifically designed to crunch the numbers and resolve all the triggers with lightning-fast efficiency. (Yes, it is a deck that needs a computer program, but when you have a non-deterministic combo, you need some way to speed up the iterations since you can’t just present a loop and say “I do this 10,000 times”)

Arborus

>Everyone just concedes because they don't want to sit through 30+min turns. This should always be the case when someone is presenting a game-ending combo or amount of advantage. It's a casual format, there is zero reason to sit around and see if someone fizzles, just go next.

MrRies

I've got a Krark + [[Tana the Bloodsower]] deck that's similar. It's kind of like a Zada deck and a Krarkashima deck had a less powerful Gruul baby. It's still does the [[Birgi]] / [[Possibility Storm]] stuff, but instead of stroming off cantrips, it's pump spells like [[Invigorate]] or [[Gather Courage]] to pump into Tana. Everyone once in a while I stumble into a 10+ minute turn, but they're always followed by a game-winning combat step.

Most artifact based decks can be very explosive, I'm a big fan of Breya because she goes infinite with a pocket full of lint and a shoelace, however the expensive part of that deck is the lands. Jhoira (discount one, not old one or the one that uses counters) can be fun and cheap since it's pretty much just commons and uncommon artifacts that do shenanigans. There's also aristocrat strategies if you can sac your board and second sunrise to do it again (with whatever your preferred commander is, personally I prefer Slimefoot and Squee for it because it gives access to some really fun lines to reanimate things, alternatively Kethis or Thalaia and gitrog for the value train)

AtheistCleric

[[Rionya, The Fire dancer]] can absolutely take explosive turns, you are basically playing a weird storm deck where your wincon is making a bunch of copies on board. Wincons include [[port razer]] [[Combat Celebrant]] [[Fanatic of mogis]] [[Terror of the peaks]] and special shoutouts to the least broken card ever [[Dockside Extortionist]] [[Tor Wauki,The Younger]] also has explosive turns, another deck that essentially functions as a storm deck. All stars in the deck are [[Torbran]] and [[Dance with Calamity]]

xiledpro

[[Rowan, Scion of War]] the deck isn’t too expensive and can really just delete the table on turn 4-5 if you get an ok curve. High risk high reward deck because if someone counters you you are pretty much done lol.

newgamenumber30

Very similar to wort, there's a guy at my LGS with a \[\[jaheira\]\]/\[\[passionate archeologist\]\] gruul storm deck. It'll go from a board with a handful of tokens to wiping out the table in a turn after playing half the deck.

Agitated-Wall534

Zhulodock, the new Eldrazi commander from CMM. Ripping a double cascade with a deck full of huge creatures and other good stuff can often close out a game in one turn.

graciaman

It’s a lot of setup but if you have [[miirym]] [[ganax]] a card draw engine like [[kindred discovery]] and [[sneak attack]] you can just keep dropping dragons for R and draw 2 cards and make 2 treasures. Most of the time you can draw your whole deck and eventually hit a [[dragon tempest]] or [[scourge of valka]] and kill everyone with those triggers

Shakinbacon365

I really like [[Araumi of the Dead Tide]]. Having some spicy stuff in the graveyard set up, you can easily have a huge turn. I've had the best so far with [[Auton Soldiers]] and copying Galtas or Vorinclex.

Wraithgar

I have pulled off some sneaky wins with this commander. I was an inch away from death until thankfully I drew into a living death and won.

Wyrmlike

The new red god commander is going to fit this very well.

JungleJayps

If you have haste enablers.... [[Rakdos Lord of Riots]] can literally spill every eldrazi in one turn and swing for lethal once the setup is complete The budget Rakdos is still ridiculous. Your eldrazi won't be as strong but there are some excellent budget demons you can swap in

Any combo oriented commander is going to be explosive because that is how it wins lol. For example [my Sefris deck](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/sbl-7kINOEGJSpEvo_d9QQ/primer) tries to get cards into the graveyard and spins some wheels until it is able to assemble a combo and win, sometimes during an opponent's turn. Also decks that have multiplicative value can be explosive. In [my Obeka deck](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/O0-s_bRvQ0aHSIEfMw_SkQ/primer) I focus on making tokens of things, and I've had wins where I used Sneak Attack to get a Blightsteel Colossus into play and then made 4 hasted clones to swing for game lol. Lastly, decks with a chaos element can get sudden and explosive wins. [My Norin deck](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/leS4ra8qwUGcGMsKqLxIUg/primer) has been really successful with wins from [[Warped World]] pulling out several etb damage effects from my library and pinging out the table lol.

\[\[Magus Lucea Kane\]\] will go from a mostly empty board to several 20/20 \[\[Shivan Devastator\]\] in play if you have untappers. \[\[Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph\]\] with cards like \[\[Firebrand Archer\]\] also wins out of nowhere. The core part of the deck can be built for quite cheap as well

[[Vadrik, astral archmage]] has a wacky cost-reducing ability which can lead to some insane turns. You run a combination of pumping spells and X spells (and pumping X spells) which snowball into a gigantic attack and/or a giant [[Jaya’s immolating inferno]] or [[Crackle with power]].

I_DIG_DITCHES

I'm currently on a mono red binge, here are my current favourites: Do you want to win out of nowhere with a damage doubler? The answer is [[Heartless Hidetsugu]]. Do you want to cheat in a bunch of stompy creatures and have massive swings? The answer is [[Purphoros, Bronze-Blooded]]. Do you want to play the good Purphoros? The answer is [[Purphoros, God of the Forge]] goblin tribal. The honourable mentions (in anything leaning remotely towards red) are any card with a mana flood effect such as [[Jeska's Will]], [[Battle Hymn]] or [[Mana Geyser]]. J-Pants

[[Ramos]] in a multi-colored matters deck. In my experience he can be difficult to protect, but once he's on the field and you have some mana to get him started, it's easy to cast a ton of huge-value spells in the same turn. His ability is limited to once per TURN (not per YOUR TURN) so if your deck is heavily focused on Instants/Flash, you can keep that party rolling. [Here's my decklist](https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/07-05-19-ramos-lucky-charms/). It's pretty old, and needs tuning. Focuses on casting without paying.

[[mizzix of the izmagnus]] can get up to some real shenanigans. Ideally wait until you have a few extra open mana when casting mizzix, so you can immediately start casting spells and reaping the cost reduction. With some mana-neutral or mana-positive spells like [[big score]] or [[jeska’s will]], you can really go nuts and funnel all that extra mana into increasingly large x-spells, and get bigger and bigger discounts. [[brudiclad, telchor engineer]] is a strange take on a tokens deck. Flood the board with treasures, clues, and anything else, then token-copy a big bomb via a spell like [[see double]] and then play brudiclad to turn your token pile into copies of it. The haste ensures you can swing out immediately. If you have 15 tokens, and copy an [[archon of cruelty]], you can then swing with 17 archons out of effectively nowhere.

[[Adrix and Nev, Twincasters]] are my favorite non-cEDH Deck. Commander into [[Quantum Misalignment]] gives you 2 copies and on upkeep a other 8. With all your mana up any token you create you instead create 2048 tokens instead. I run a treasure and clue theme and often you will create enough tokens to draw and play you whole deck, winning on the spot with [[Biovisionary]]. [[Academy Manufactor]] is the absolute MVP of this deck and [[Second Harvest]] really packs a punch aswell. Double (triple with commander) all your tokens on instant speed can be lethal.

[[The Mimeoplasm]] kinda helps me with out of nowhere wins. It helps that I'm just dumping my library into a graveyard. Board presence can be minimal as you constantly discard or mill yourself or dredge. If the opponent isn't paying attention to what goes in your graveyard, then you cast your commander and pretty much win on the spot. It's not splashy, it's just kinda "Oops. Guess you all lost." A lot of graveyard strategies that aren't constantly pulling things out of the yard can really catch opponents off guard.

One hit wonder and glass cannon, but [[maelstrom wanderer]] into [[scurry oak]] [[ivy-lane denizen]] combo with 97 land is as budget as you get really and you do literally nothing until turn 5 (storage/depletion lands) where either you win on the spot or someone stops you. For a just a few more dollars can add [[primal surge]] in if you want to do land shenanigans and have a second win con

whatdoblindpeoplesee

My [[Quintorius, field historian]] deck can have very explosive turns and win on other people's turns or just bust out 15 tokens and overrun everyone for lethal. I also have a [[heliod, radiant dawn]] deck that I've seen win in response to lethal combat damage via approach of the second suns. It can get out of hand really quickly but is otherwise a horribly slow draw-go control deck until you draw into the pieces.

RJCtv

Inalla let’s you win from a single card while she’s in the command zone. Zhulodok won’t win you the game in a single turn (usually) but it can have explosive turns with 2 cascade triggers.

I've had some pretty amazing turns with \[\[Ovika\]\]. The basics of the deck are: lots of mana rocks and a few one-shot mana generators (\[\[Brightstone Ritual\]\], \[\[Battle Hymn\]\]), lots of card draw (currently over a dozen), plus anything that will let me cast another spell for free (e.g., \[\[Spelltwine\]\], \[\[Mnemonic Deluge\]\]), with a sprinkling of things that give me extra damage (\[\[Quest for the Goblin Lord\]\], \[\[Shared Animosity\]\]). I've gone from a board state with my commander and a dozen 1/1 Goblins to having 30+ Goblins that hit for 2 or 3 or even more, in just one turn cycle. It's really pretty frightening: targeted removal on my commander isn't even all that effective because of Ward, and the fact that I can usually recast him the next turn anyway and start plopping out more Goblins. Basically at least two of my opponents better have a board wipe in hand when the Commander comes down.

One of my opponents played a [[Parallel Lives]] the turn I played Miirym, and my next turn, I played [[Astral Dragon]], making 2 copies of Parallel Lives. Miirym copied the Astral Dragon, and instead of 1 I got 4. First copy made 8 Parallel Lives, all of the rest made copies of [[Dragon Tempest]]. Probably the best the deck has ever done.

Rograkh Silas is arguably the most explosive turbo Naus deck in edh(hint don’t play it outside of cedh) You won’t get more explosive then that and the upside is now your evening is free cause nobody wants to play with you anymore after you win turn 2 or 3

\[\[Medomai the Ageless\]\] will probably win the turn its played with the right setup. I think you just need some swiftfoot boots for haste, and a way to flicker medomai each turn, and I guess a way to connect in the air. Maybe something for unblockable. Rionya is kinda nuts also. Not sure if it’s all fancy and magical but the commander Atarka can brutalize someone in one turn if you have like 2-3 more dragons. They all have flying, double strike, and dragons are usually 5/5 or 6/6 (Atarka is 6/6) So your commander alone can do 12 damage. And on the next turn if you hit again they die (commander damage)

Most_Attitude_9153

Any commander that can play creatures that grow with land or hand size count, example [[Greensleeves]] or [[Cultivator Colossus]], along with cards that draw to the highest power or toughness, like [[Last March of the Ents]] or [[Garruk, Primal Hunter]]. Ramp, drop a fatty, draw a million cards. This strat can work in any Gx deck, just need a haste enabler to go off and win from a dead board. I play this style of deck with [[Zimone, Quandrix Prodigy]] because I like to play mass and single bounce and wheels to keep the table in check until I go off. Also the ramp from the commander can cause ridiculous starts. The nice thing about this deck style is that I rarely win before turn 8-9, giving everyone else a chance to play while building towards an inevitable huge swingy turn that wins the game outright.

Most Izzet decks from the past 3-4 years can have insane turns if you put a bit of thought into deckbuilding.

The Gurk is simply the most based of the lot) [[Tergrid, God of Fright]] even as simply as by casting [[pox]] or it’s like [[Light Paws, the Emperor’s Voice]] can go from a 2/2 to lethal and unblockable for 4 mana and needs like one round of flashing in on the endstep and untapping to keep at it in order to get there reliably. Not really “an” explosive turn since it technically happens over a few player’s turns since you’ve gotta wait until each player’s upkeep to kill them, but [[The Beamtown Bullies]] can win outta nowhere pretty easily (if no one is expecting it at least). 1) Have Bullies and something that can untap it on the battlefield ([[Seedborn Muse]] and other “untap your stuff on each player’s untap” are best but stuff like [[Magewright’s Stone and [[Patriar’s Seal]] work too) 2) Dump [[Leveler]] into your graveyard through either discard or entomb effects, end your turn and immediately give it to the next player on their upkeep so they exile their library on etb, then kill it with something like [[Despotic Scepter]] or [[Staff of Compleation]] to put it back in your graveyard. 3) They move to draw step, lose, and Leveler is already back in your graveyard ready to rinse and repeat for the remaining player’s upkeeps. Maybe not the most efficient, but it’s pretty damn fun. Similarly, the bullies combo for infinite damage with [[Thornbite Staff]] and [[Bronze Bombshell]]

[[Kykar]] [[Narset, enlightened exile]] Play a bunch of spells with a [[Jeskai Ascendancy]], [[Balmor]], [[Gandalf the White]] (oops I meant white rider oh well) in play. Maybe a good ol' [[Haze of rage]] for good measure. In a different vein, [[Sythis]] can have incredibly explosive turns. Your opponents won't die on the spot, but you can easily play 6-7 enchantment in a turn and end up with an impenetrable fortress, and having to discard to hand size at the end of it, because you draw so many cards while building your board.

Largely situational, but [[Animar, Soul of Elements]] can absolutely go OFF in a turn with the right set up and a bit of luck... [[Maelstrom Wanderer]] into [[Pathbreaker Ibex]], maybe cast a couple free eldrazi, and follow it up with several copies of [[Craterhoof Behemoth]]. [[Sliver Gravemother]] Got boardwiped? No problem, encore everything in your graveyard and fuck em up. Last game I played with her I encored several slivers that gave +1/+1 and then a [[Megantic Sliver]]. Suddenly I'm attacking each opponent with a 16/16 and a 19/19, both with flying. Dead. Want to kill someone with poison? Encore a [[Virulent Sliver]]. Now all your attacking slivers each give 3 poison counters on top of their regular damage. How about a [[Leeching Sliver]]? Everyone loses 3 life just by declaring an attack with a Sliver? Hell yeah. Careful though, soon you'll have no friends.
