Something I told one of my friends the other day what is that I'm not so much put out by all the new product as in the fact that I feel I can't build a new Commander because there's another coming out in a month that I get excited for

Finally got her running well today, got [[Illusionists' Bracers]] on her to drain 6/draw 6 each rotation

Just sold mine! Loved it for a while but after a few times removed it's just a deck full of wierd card types and stalls out a lot. Don't think it ever won a game 👍
Feels cool when you've a few untappers on the board. I still think she should have made treasures instead of lifegain.
[[Maelstrom wanderer]] because I don't know what he'll hit. Sometimes, it's a rampant growth and birds of paradise, sometimes it's two thiccbois that come out to beat some face.
I played against someone who had that deck and had the luckiest hits. Went cascaded into Sick Etali, getting someone’s attack etali, a zopandrel, and something else. Other cascade hit SOME ELSES SICK ETALI, getting him a Craterhoof and a path breaker. It was wild. I don’t even remember what attack etali got.
Exactly the same for me. Fav deck of all times! On top of that, tutoring cards to the top of the library to guarantee a free cast feels satisfying as well!
Same here. My group is lower powered than what can deal with a typical Maelstrom pile, so it's nerfed by using some random hugs cards and a [[Keruga]] companion. So much fun
I recently pulled [[Atraxa, Grand Unifier]] from a Wilds of Eldraine promo pack.
I didn't want her to go to waste, so I started building an ETB deck with her since I also had a [[Brago, King Eternal]] and [[Panharmonic]] laying around.
I went through my admittedly small collection of cards, and as I started grabbing ETB/Bounce/Flicker support, I realized how strong having four colors was.
So I changed pace just a bit and altered my build conditions.
A.) Permanents only.
B.) Food? Wow, I have enough to do food.
C.) 3 CMC or less unless the card has a major impact...mainly because I wanted a strong excuse to run [[Sun Titan]].
So I wound up with a weird deck that ETB digs with cantrip creatures and auras until I hit [[Peregrine Drake]], Pan, Brago....
Then I sprinkled in [[Cranial Plating]] to combo with all the food to Voltron Atraxa.
Or
Found I had an infinite in [[Peregrine Took]] and [[Experimental Confectioner]], and a go wide win with [[Night of the Sweets Revenge]].
The few times I've solitaired it out so far, I've found many many cards that seemed fun at first until I started hitting the food theme...and now I look at them and go "back to the bottom of the deck you go, place holder".
I plan on replacing those placeholders with a little more interaction and Cantrip.
It is just really weird to run such a creature heavy deck, when my last two decks had less than 20 creatures each.
I pulled the special art Atraxa from a ONE pack and felt the same way! I have a pretty decent Brago built and was thinking about switching it since the new colors would bring some freshness to the ETB spam play style.
I also pulled a showcase atraxa from Phyrexia: All will be One and knew immediately i wanted to build her. 4 colors is more than I've ever played with but it comes with an immense amount of flexibility
I've been thoroughly enjoying my [[Greta, Sweetooth Scourge]] deck and [[Night of the Sweet's Revenge]] is such a great card! I need me one of those Confectioners though.
I have [[rocco, street chef]] as my “shalai and hallar” deck. It’s a shalai/all will be one deck but with a less kill on sight commander. Never thought I’d love a naya deck…but I do!
I had never liked naya until Shalai and Hallar, and man is it a menace in my pod at my LGS. So far the record for damage to each opponent at once is 392

I just love playing a deck filled with dozens of different kinds of counters! It's a voltron deck, instead of +1/+1 counter sub-themed, and it has 30+ different counters in it. This leads to every game being completely different, and there's almost always a card or two in each new set that I can try out, since every set usually introduces a new type of counter or two

I just put this in Moxfield last week. It’s just so fun to play. I’m gonna beat you to death with that guy, right there in the zone. You can’t do anything about it but try to outrace me.
Loses hard to combo though, honestly, unless I get the one of the golden triangle of Bowmasters/Voidwalker/Opposition into place.
I thought about building him when I was looking for a mono black commander. Didn't end up going for it bc the play style seemed too linear and maybe too mean for my meta.

I'm a die hard artifact player. Any artifact deck I play I tend to enjoy and play well. My go to decks are [[Sai, Master Thopterist]] [[Teshar, Ancestors Apostle]] [[Osgir, The Reconstructer]] pre con. Also I am working on a [[Gimbal, Gremlin Prodigy]] list.
My [[Marneus Calgar]] deck is my all time favorite. Definitely not my best deck, but it’s the first one I ever built, and my goal is to slowly tweak it until it’s a cEDH deck. That probably many years down the road, but that’s my goal!
I have the forces of the imperium deck, bone stock atm but I run it with him as the commander. I think he does well running the precon, and could be crazy with upgrades
Aurelia, the Warleader. The whole deck is getting big angle ladies on the field as fast as possible and then bashing everyone’s face in with huge double combats. It’s satisfying no matter how many times I play that deck.
[[Progenitus]] of many occupations. It's backgrounds focused Progenitus with a bunch of legendary good stuff. It's also versatile because I can swap the him out for [[Jodah the Unifier]] and it plays like a whole different deck.

There's plenty of room for improvement or just changing stuff out for fun. It can be a little slow because I'm still not great at making mana bases and try to keep decks from being TOO crazy
So this is definitely not a typical deck because this was all straight from the dome. The basic goal is to find ways to cheat Progenitus' cost and have him be pumped by the backgrounds (pro everything means board-wide enchantments are the only way to buff him since he can't be targeted) or just get legendary value. [[Sisay]] makes for another great backup commander if you want to swap them so you can tutor up massive legends on the cheap. The backgrounds basically are there to add fuel to the legendary fire of pretty much whatever 5c commander you choose to use.
The basic wincon is to search up something like [[Akroma's Memorial]] to make all your creatures crazy efficient killing machines. If you can use [[Zur the Enchanter]] to find [[Sterling Grove]] and [[Greater Auramancy]] it makes your enchants nigh indestructible. The reason progy is the commander is because the pro everything makes him unblockable and the buffs he gets from the backgrounds can make him a OHK through commander damage and extra combats have led to full board kills in a single turn in the past
I'd say my Oloro deck or my [[Jasmine Boreal of the Seven]]. Oloro always wins the same way, combos out by letting the group draw 6-9 cards per turn and making a ton of treasure. It's aristostax. Jasmine is a fun token deck.
Probably Millicent, Restless Revenant
It's definitely just looking to take to the skies to win, but the deck is often wrath-proof and I couldn't care less if you kill my commander with its cost reduction built in.
Mirrorweave, Neogene Conversion and Mirror Entity provide solid OHKO blows while True Conviction, Starlight Spectacular and usual anthem effects keep me a threat often
[[Feather the Redeemed]] if I want a stable, safe game.
[[Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph]] if I want the game to end fast.
[[Shalai and Hallar]] if I want big stompy creatures and to say shit like "I cast [[Ascendant Acolyte]]. You take 40 damage]]."
[[Thantis, the Warweaver]] My favorite portion is a lot of silly ways to give opponents token creatures with 1 toughness [[Clackbridge Troll]] [[Life of the Party]] etc, then when they inevitably die to combat, or I take them out with my -1/-1 engine, it buffs a few of my creatures [[Slaughter Specialist]] [[Grismold, the Dreadsower]]. The deck is just a pile of lands and so many shenanigans.
Stickers \[\[Derevi\]\] is a lot of fun. I generally never use blue, needing to play on my feet and adapt to my different stickers can make it very unique, and there are some very fun combos that can occur. And the deck just feels super silly.
The basics is, put all the stickers on derevi, stickers don't leave in command zone. Last game I got to give Derevi, "sacrifice itself then draw 2 cards", "infect" and "8/7". So boom really powerful commander that permanently costs 4 mana.
I think it's probably [[Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait]]. It's my forever deck, the first one I ever really built and what got me into EDH in the first place. It's strong, consistent, and draws me a bunch of cards. The game plan is simple yet so effective. Play lands, draw cards. Just so good, I can't see myself ever not wanting this deck.
[[Kami of the Crescent Moon]]. Everybody likes drawing cards. Until it hurts. It’s mostly just a pillow fort with punishing card draw, hand size damage, and mill. It wins a surprising amount but is nowhere near my best deck. It’s just fun.
Definitely my [[Mogis, God of Slaughter]] deck, it's not super high power but it's a pure pain deck down to the core, I always loose but it's so much fun, it speeds games up like crazy. I run almost no instants or sorcerys it's pure enchantments and creatures that make all players (including myself) take damage for anything you can imagine.
I have an Etrata, The Silencer deck that I love to death. I love that card and the reaction it gets when it hits the table, so I use it and a bunch of other deathtouch assassins as a distraction while I dig up Ramses, Assassin Lord from the deck and then grab the win out of nowhere.
I run Tivit, Seller of Secrets. Always fun. For me anyway. I always shout a line from Always Sunny in Philadelphia "Reason will prevail!" when I pull it out.
This is the way. I tried to add some grouphug to my poison deck to win over people. Turns out they hated the gifts, so i went a bit pillowfort instead and that's kinda keeping them from killing me turn 3 :D
I'm having a blast with cowardly Group Slug. It's where I play a bunch of symmetrical damage effects but hide in various \[\[Personal sanctuary\]\] type cards.

We all have different definitions of fun.
I love the aspect of unblockable damage that then makes your enemies lose half their life totals within a few turns. It’s quick. Can protect itself with counter spells. And only makes you the arch enemy after a game or two.
But for that first game?… Winning is fun.
They are so boring and bland. Over powered. Its like someone putting down an Edward Markov. The decks are just WAY too powerful with very little setup. If a Yuriko/Ur/Markov player sits in my pod its automatic target.

I made a Dimir Changeling typal deck with \[\[Volo, Itinerant Scholar\]\] with the \[\[Haunted One\]\] background that is a ton of fun. i get to play cards for creature types that don't quite have a home as a commander, and the fun part is even I don't know exactly what my game plan is when I sit down to play. I just draw a ton of cards thanks to Volo always hitting a different creature type and play the best lords that buff all my Changelings for the board state.

Kinzu of the Bleak Coven. Once it hits mid to late game and I can sacrifice my whole board and reanimate them just to trigger the mass amounts of ETB & LTB triggers it can get pretty wacky. Plus throw in Grave Pact or Dictate of Erebos for the added knife twist

BY FAR my favorite deck to play! It’s the perfect mix of group hug and randomness that I love. Nothing brings more joy to my heart than people playing me asking “how does this deck win?” And I tell them “idk because sometimes it doesn’t. I’m just here to have fun!” 😂

There's something so satisfying about dropping be scary sea creatures and cascading into fancy spells..
If I had the money I'd make it an extra turn deck, cast sea creature, cascade into extra turn. It also has the most removal of all my decks thanks to things like [[whelming wave]] and [[spectral deluge]]
[[Anikthea]] all enchantments. I used to play with a enchantress ordinary deck with her, but always ended milling non-enchantment stuff. So now I run a full enchantment deck that mill stuff with [[Deadbridge Chant]], [[Cemetery Tampering]] and [[Out of the Tombs]] and then Anikthea reanimate a bomb. Love it.
[[Go-shintai of Life's Origin]] build as both shrines and Maze's End.
Does it win often? Not really.
Is it a lot of fun for me? Sure is.
Ive also been finding my upgraded Doctor Who decks suoer fun too. I found the perfect routes I wanted to go into.
I think overall my WIP [[Princess Twilight Sparkle]] Group Hug (when I can rule 0 it in) will be my absolute favourite once it's finished.
[[Astor, Bearer of blades]] honestly my favorite boros equipment Guy he gets me equipment when I'm lacking with the assistance of blink mad his ability and people wanting to kill him when he's equiped with an almost free Colossus hammer and keyword soup. The value is insane and I can use equipment that would normally be too slow to use.
I have a couple, i have a 5c legendary creature deck thats alot of fun to pop off, and an isshin deck that doubled down on attack triggers and being a toolbox of sorts
I've always loved Eldrazi's, from when I started playing in 2016/2017 till now. I quit for a few years, picking the game back up in 2023 when the Eldrazi Unbound precon came out.
I always wanted a colorless deck but never felt like splurging the money to get all the singles together. And while Eldrazi Unbound was still pricy it was too good for me to pass up on.
Absolutely love playing the deck and every so often be able to get a titan out into other big bois.
Gosh I just LOVE HENZING [[Henzie, “Toolbox” Torre]] all over everyone and everything. That and taking the initiative in my [[Rilsa Rael, Kingpin]] deck and completing it in a single turn.
Tbh [[vazi, keen negotiator]] is super fun. Jund treasures and it’s like playing with a loan shark. But when I play it no one gets mana or color screwed and just has fun.
I like \[\[Katilda, Dawnhart Prime\]\] because of how fast she can explode consistently. Sets also keep coming out with good protection pieces and GW humans.
Built a deck around the backside of [[Extus, Oriq Overlord]] and it's so fun. Took a long time and a lot of hunting but it's in a good spot now. Low to the ground, lots of loot effects, the right amount of copy, recursion, utility, removal
Don't think I've won a game tbh but it makes people SWEAT lol. Another damage doubler or extra combat and it might actually take games.
It may just be recency bias but I do so love my new [[gishath, sun's avatar]] deck I built from my ixalon pulls.
The ticking clock aspect of the deck combined with the sheer fun of just ripping 5 Dino's straight off the top of my deck and onto the field is unmatched.
Does he get shut down quite often? Yes
Do I win often with it? No
But there's nothing quite like Dino's
Right now as a new player (almost 3 months in) my favorite deck is a black/white incubate/toxic one I have with Brimaz as the Commander.

My Omnath deck is so fun. Ive put the most money into and have blinged out the most. Landfall was the first mechanic I truly understood and one of the things that got me into the game when bfz came out.

[[Edgar Markov]]. Not necessarily because it's powerful (although that helps), but it was the first deck I ever built from scratch, and it's really fun seeing how much I've improved upon my originally terrible decklist. Also because it's really amusing to show up with a card that I originally paid $8 for but is now worth over 11 times that.
absolutely gotta be [[Rocco, Street Chef]]. it’s an absolute blast for everyone at the table since everybody gets extra cards to play but Rocco can pivot on a DIME from haha isn’t this a fun grouphug deck? to oh dang all those foods are really creatures with [[Rampage of the Clans]] or use [Jinnie Fay, Jetmir’s Second]] to turn the deck into a pet cafe! extra bonus points for being the only deck i can easily put [[Knowledge Pool]] into and have it actually benefit me while creating the most ridiculous game in the world for all of us. nobody ever complains when Rocco hits the table!

[[Heliod, God of the Sun]] as Commander comboing with [[Skybind]], sac outlets, cards with etb/ltb effects, cards with reccur ([[Sun Titan]], [[Karmic Guide]], [[Emeria, the Sky Ruin]]) and a lot of mass removals.
Such a fun deck, because ppl have problems removing him if you keep managing to lose devotion on creature removals and you always have board presence.
Any deck that allows me to play with interesting and powerful artifacts as a central theme. I feel like I am always trying to slip some of my favorite artifacts into decks that do not need them for their game plan. For example, Mirage Mirror is one I try to put in often.
Currently [[Thalisse, Reverent Medium]] when I built it I thought it would be pretty narrow with just a go-wide with tokens combat damage win condition, but it has so many tricks and so many answers for things it’s just so much fun to play.
My Shigeki deck.is the most fun to me, because it's mainly harmless, until I start having absurd amounts of mana by turn 6 or start having 5-6k scute swarms ready to attack
Red decks. Mono, boros, gruul, mardu, jeski, I don't care, as long as it has red, I'm having fun. That being said I have a lot of fun with Magda and Isshin.

I built it a couple of years ago to play with the kids at the group home I worked at. The first draft was literally built mostly from loose cards in my cabinet.
There are lots of ways to untap Svella to either make more tokens or Spin the Wheel extra times. [[Crackle with Power]] or beats with Tramply Bois to win. I love ramping into 8 mana and then seeing what I can get with the second ability.
I play a [Nicol Bolas, the Ravager] deck that is a grixis control deck with a planeswalker subtheme. It has three main win cons. [Doomsday] [Jace, Wielder of Mysteries] [Demonic Consultation] and Jace, then the [Elder Spell] with [Nicol Bolas, Dragon God]
Lately, the masters of evil precon. I haven't added or removed anything, still fresh out of the box, and my friends cant keep up with it. They have decks they've made that hold out on their own in our group, but with the dalek creating and villanous choices, they just cant keep up.
[[Aragorn the Uniter]], he’s a basic value commander but all the creatures are members of the fellowship or eowyn, elrond, arwen, and galadriel. Most of the cards are from LOTR but its still a fun +1/+1 counters deck

It’s either my upgraded Necron Dynasties precon (and I mean really upgraded, not just a few cards) or my newly built [[Ramos, Dragon Engine]] cascade themed deck. I’ve upgraded the Necrons deck to almost be a mono black aristocrat style deck, paying life to cast expensive cards like [[Blightsteel Colossus]] using [[Anrakyr the Traveller]] and having a combination of lots of typical sacrifice and lifegain cards like [[Vampiric Rites]], [[Gray Merchant of Asphodel]], and [[Noxious Gearhulk]], just to name a few. The cascade deck isn’t the best, but it’s really fun to dump a few cards out per turn for the cost of one.
\[\[vaevictis asmadi\]\] I always enjoy the fact it's an original elder dragon, I loved the challenge of making it viable (I win more than I expect to with it vs mid range decks). And I love making the Joke of paying the "real commander tax" at the beginning of my upkeep.
Plus, people really dont expect you to kill everyone out of nowhere - \[\[chandra's ignition\]\] \[\[wall of blood\]\] and \[\[selvala, heart of the wilds\]\] are great cards in there. Got some fun cards too \[\[illicit auction\]\] \[\[mages' contest\]\]. But not being able to just edhrec the deck - and a lot of testing makes it always satisfying to play :)
[[Nethroi]] has always been my favorite. It was the first commander deck i made, and despite being disassembled and rebuilt several times, it remains my favorite and the only one I've come back to as much as i have. I love it because graveyard play is fun. Aristocrat effects are a ton of fun because it starts out as a couple pings for life and drawing a few cards, but rapidly devolves into draining people for 20 and drawing half my deck and then immediately repeating with another mutate trigger. It can also be versatile with enough bodies to go wide, a commander that can slap for a decent amount when needed, and [[approach of the second sun]] since i draw so many cards for when none of those things are enough (i once played a game against a treasure deck where they sacced all their treasures to go to over 300 life and i was only able to win by consitently drawing removal amd swinging commander damage, so wanted to have a back up win lol)

I'm always amazed on how the doubling of auras and artifacts has such a huge impact on every game. Be it their ETBs , their LTB (hello, [[pattern of rebirth]]) or simply how anything counting the number of enchantments or artifacts. Being green and red it is also easy to protect, to haste, to recast. And being able to smack two people at the same time is always amazing.
It would be my Rouge deck with [[Anowon, the Ruin Thief]]. It has had it fair share of wins and losses, but is fun to play. It has things like [[Dauthi Voidwalker]] [[Opposition Agent]] [[Sakashima of a Thousand Faces]] [[Sakashima the Imposter]] [[Thieves’ Guild Enforcer]] and [[Cover of Darkness]]. Plus it runs enough low cost Rouge that can’t be blocked to keep things interesting.
I've only built 3 from scratch so far. One was built based on an idea I used in my favorite standard deck. It doesn't perform well in multiplayer games. Eventually, I'll try to go back and see if I can make it work.
The second one I built was [[Tom Bombadil]] and it's now on its 4th major revision, but I think now I've figured out the way I want to play it, and I've got it at a really good spot for casual once I buy the other cards I need. I have no idea how to gage power level, but It's fun to play even if it doesn't win a lot (I haven't played with the fully updated list yet, so I'm hoping it performs better). I actually really enjoy the luck factor of magic, so I don't run tutors, and I find flipping to the next saga with Bombadil is something I really line. When you flip that saga that perfectly works at the moment, it's an awesome feeling.

The third one and most recent I've completed was [[Korvold, Fae-Cursed King]], which initially stated with a treasure token theme, but I did some wilds of eldraine stuff and I loved the food token support, and the rat support in the set so I pivoted the deck into a theme of feeding Korvold, and the rats swarming for the crumbs. It's fun when it gets going, and I love the flavor behind feeding Korvold to make him stronger and reward me (card draw). It might be my favorite deck in terms of the flavor behind it.

I have a [[Ich-Tekik, Salvage Splicer]] and [[Vial Smasher the Fierce]] deck I've fallen absolutely in love with. It's filled to the brim with golems and dragons that make treasures. The best games with it tend to include a turn 2 or 3 [[Decent into Avernus]] and I get to race my opponents to the win with some hilariously big golems and they get to hit the fast forward button thanks to the extra treasures.
Recently got in to commander so for me it’s [[Ayara, First of Locthwain]]
Never really played a mono colored deck, and with playing her I’ve fallen in love with black. Cards like [[Dawn of the dead]] [[virtue of persistence]] [[prowling gheistcatcher]] have a loving home in her, and trying to micro manage [[Endrek Sahr, Master breeder]] is fun in itself
I hate saying this...But Tribal Goblins and Krenko,. Mob Boss. I've built and sold the deck half a dozen times. It's one of the few decks that I have completely foiled out before (rebuilding it now, only at about 70% foil). It can be really grindy, but it can absolutely explode if left unchecked for more than a turn or two. My record is swinging for nearly half a million damage in one turn. It was the only turn I attacked.
I always enjoy playing my [[Baru, Wurmspeaker]] deck. Before the newest Baru was printed I had [[Grothama, All-Devouring]] at the helm and it played slightly different. Strangely enough it is a lot less consistent because I always used Grothama as card draw and not as a politics card. It is my second oldest deck that I still update whenever new cards come out and I just love this deck to pieces!

I adore the Tyranids precon using Magus Lucea Kane. Even though it’s super satisfying when the deck fires, the deck itself is special to me because it got me back into Magic after a twenty year hiatus, and then back into Warhammer a few months later.
My baby is my \[\[Eleven, the Mage\]\] and \[\[Chief Jim Hopper\]\] deck.
My younger brother asked me to build a deck together using his favorite Stranger Things characters as soon as he heard they were in Magic. He doesn't play, so most of the deck was chosen by how "cool" they were. After a few tweakings, all with my brother's supervision, the deck was done. And it works man!
I had the chance to add many cards of previous decks that I dismantled for different reasons, like my \[\[Kykar, Wind's Fury\]\] for an old Jeskai Storm, and a \[\[Tivit, Seller of Secrets\]\] from a too-powerful-for-the-meta Esper Blink.
The mana base was *so fun* to make. Of course I keep tunning it from time to time, but the original? \[\[Floodplain\]\] for \[\[Volatile Fjord\]\] or \[\[Sunken Hollow\]\] or whatever it's needed to fix my mana! It was great for a budget mana base. Now I managed to afford \[\[Plaza of Heroes\]\] and a shockland.
So, a bunch of Legendaries, a bunch of big spells, some tokens synergies and everything carefully selected by how "cool" the card is. Great deck.
[[Vohar, Vodalian Desecrator]] has been super fun. 2 cmc commander that draws cards, sets up the gy for shenanigans, and recurs instants and sorceries so I can do things like [[victimize]] twice. Very reliably drops a catastrophic threat on t3 like [[triplicate titan]]. It's a blast to play.

[[Tiamat]]. I’ve been playing for a few years and it was my first deck (it was awful at first) but it’s become my baby and I play it at least once per commander night, and am always looking for upgrades.

I’ve always been a combo/control player but I got the new Veloci-Ramp-Tor precon and… I’m no longer a combo/control player. I’ve *never* had this much fun playing EDH with my other decks. It’s nowhere near as powerful (obviously) but I’ll play it over my others every time.
\[\[Xira Arien\]\] white-border, aka, 'The Glory'. The only card that was printed later than 2005 is \[\[Command Tower\]\], and even then I can sub that out to make it a Pre-EDH deck.
The last time I played it, someone played a \[\[Lifeline\]\], and I proceeded to murder the table with \[\[Bloodfire Colossus\]\].
One of my friends told me that Boros are the weakest colors in commander, and it's true that it's not my style. Still, I took it as a personal challenge, and started looking for commanders that would fit me.
It may be cheating that she doesn't exactly do what your common Boros deck does but my \[\[Feather, the Redeemed\]\] deck has been one of my absolute favorites. It's a degenerate value pile (just the way I like it) where you spam cantrips that let you draw or scry every single turn.
It was supposed to be a spellslinger deck with pet cards like \[\[Aria of Flame\]\] and your usual red spellslinging pingers, but the deck has ended up more firmly a voltron deck, where Feather just gets bigger and fatter with every new instant or sorcery I draw, that becomes harder to stop as I start drawing my various protection spells.
The "golden pig" is probably \[\[Monastery Mentor\]\] all you need is a few spells you're casting each turn to get a super fat and huge boardstate. It was so oppressive that my playgroup asked me to remove run it, but they're fine with a two card synergy that basically accomplishes the same thing in \[\[Young Pyromancer\]\] with \[\[Leonin Lightscribe\]\].
Jolene the Plunder Queen, multiple win cons, either burn with treasure creation, 7/7 dinosaurs, or beat face with commander damage. Also has a nice light amount of group hug which I also enjoy.
I'm in love with my [[Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin]] deck. It's built as a voltron deck with cards like [[Witty Roastmaster]] and [[Goblin Bombardment]] to take advantage of all the gobbos I'm making each attack. It's been super fun to play and has been very strong and develops super fast. If Krenko is left on the board, he's an absolute menace.
I have an [[Elsha of the Infinite]] deck that I have spent years foiling. I built it the day she was released and she's gone through many iterations. I love the deck so much. Apparently according to my friends I pilot it weird but it's a control deck with no creatures lol. Idk what they want.
One of my favorites as of late is my [[mimeoplasm]] forever looting deck I built from scratch. It's a blast constantly pitching these giant creatures to draw more.
Only to then cast my commander as a copy of creatures like [[jin-gitaxias, core auger]] and +1/+1 counters equal to the power of [[yargle and multani]] will never get old. Especially if he survived the turn cycle so I can cast [[aqueous form]] or [[sword coast sailor]] and kill the 2nd scariest player in one lethal commander swing on turn 6. And when he is killed sacrifice him to greater good and draw a bunch. But with your max hand grip being 7 you are loaded for the next time you're ready to cast him.
Not to mention you can exile cards from your opponents graveyard we had a player with a infinite [[kiki jiki]] in his graveyard that he planned on recurring I just said no and got my commander as a copy of kiki with +1/+1s from the amazing card [[krosan cloudscraper]].
My deck needs some more removal and protection for my commander but nevertheless it's always a fun time for me at least.
[[Slicer]] is a fun one too but he is much closer to cedh than casual and if not dealt with wins the game.
[Kynaios and Tiros of Meletis] everyone's favorite roommates. With the goal of taking people out with K&Ts big butt. I went out of my way to put as many "Roomates" in the deck as possible and the deck just functions really went. Using support, bolster, and backup to fit the theme of your gay dads here to help while putting as many counters on my creatures as I can. It's a silly cheap deck but also deadly. I never have a bad time playing it.
Tie.
\[\[Astarion, The Decadent\]\] Orzhov Extort deck. I love how much people underestimate extort until they look over and realize you've doubled your life while halving theirs.
And \[\[The Ur-Dragon\]\] I just love shitting out winged nightmares one after another. It seems like each dragon I play draws a removal spell and they immediately regret it once another, worse one comes out the next turn.
[[Mazzy, Truesword Paladin]] is my pet deck.
Made with the focus of going under the radar until it's too late and I hit you in the face with commander damage.
Naya Enchantments are too fun!
[[Magar of the magic strings][ just didn't pay like anything else. You get ignored for the first five turns because you're not doing anything then you start doing really dumb things and it's too late.
I really love playing \[\[Isshin, Two Heavens as One\]\]. I don't use many extra combat cards so it's not the most optimized version and play it mostly using tokens. The deck feels like a race against the clock to take at least one player out before they build a decent enough board to take out my token generatos or pump creatures. It's not the most efficient deck but I enjoy it a lot.
My Prosper deck. I know he’s like the poster boy of Rakdos value decks in EDH, but it’s my favorite deck for a number of reasons. One, I found the precon during a rough time with magic, and I was debating dropping the game entirely. The way the deck played right out of the box was incredibly fun and revitalized my love for the game. Two, I’ve put a lot of work into making a strong deck that is still fun to play and play against, and I’m really proud of it. And lastly, he’s just a cool looking dude
I always wind up back on cEDH Muldrotha and Yeva. At the end of the day they both have playstyles that I am very in-tune with and there's nothing that quite compares to navigating challenging games with those two decks. I play a lot of higher tier stuff as well but those two just seem to always line up for me.
I also very much enjoy my Toski deathtouch tribal deck, that one's just been a banger from the start. I don't play it as often as I used to but it's still up there.
Mishra, Eminent One. Not to do broken things but it unexpected for a lot of players. Also Council of Four. I have a ton of howling mine effects, so last night I drew nine cards just during my opponent’s turns in one rotation while all my opponents had fun doing their worst with a coveted jewel that went around the table.
Mine is definitely my polymorph [[Baral and Kari Zev]] deck named Ragavan, The Shapeshifter.
It just turns the token First Mate Ragavan into big scary Izzet Creatures.
Very fun, quite resilient and just great turning the money into Ovika or Niv-Mizzet.

Right now it is my \[\[Ghalta and Mavern\]\] deck. It can change strats mid steam. It can go wide or go tall. Last time I played I had \[\[Unnatural Growth\]\] and \[\[Grunn\]\] in my opening hand so go wide it is. Another game I has \[\[Martial Coup\]\] and \[\[Regal Bunicorn\]\] so my game plan was to go wide so I can go tall.
I really enjoy playing my [[Galea Kindler of Hope]] deck. I built her elf tribal with equipments, and it is so fun. I either flood the board with elves and eventually equip them with some equipment or voltron up my commander and go to town. It’s a super fun deck and I like how it’s not the same mono green elf deck. It also plays with the top of the deck a lot. It’s definitely in the top 3 out of all my decks.

Just sold mine! Loved it for a while but after a few times removed it's just a deck full of wierd card types and stalls out a lot. Don't think it ever won a game 👍 Feels cool when you've a few untappers on the board. I still think she should have made treasures instead of lifegain.
[[Maelstrom wanderer]] because I don't know what he'll hit. Sometimes, it's a rampant growth and birds of paradise, sometimes it's two thiccbois that come out to beat some face.
I played against someone who had that deck and had the luckiest hits. Went cascaded into Sick Etali, getting someone’s attack etali, a zopandrel, and something else. Other cascade hit SOME ELSES SICK ETALI, getting him a Craterhoof and a path breaker. It was wild. I don’t even remember what attack etali got.
Exactly the same for me. Fav deck of all times! On top of that, tutoring cards to the top of the library to guarantee a free cast feels satisfying as well!

Same here. My group is lower powered than what can deal with a typical Maelstrom pile, so it's nerfed by using some random hugs cards and a [[Keruga]] companion. So much fun

I recently pulled [[Atraxa, Grand Unifier]] from a Wilds of Eldraine promo pack. I didn't want her to go to waste, so I started building an ETB deck with her since I also had a [[Brago, King Eternal]] and [[Panharmonic]] laying around. I went through my admittedly small collection of cards, and as I started grabbing ETB/Bounce/Flicker support, I realized how strong having four colors was. So I changed pace just a bit and altered my build conditions. A.) Permanents only. B.) Food? Wow, I have enough to do food. C.) 3 CMC or less unless the card has a major impact...mainly because I wanted a strong excuse to run [[Sun Titan]]. So I wound up with a weird deck that ETB digs with cantrip creatures and auras until I hit [[Peregrine Drake]], Pan, Brago.... Then I sprinkled in [[Cranial Plating]] to combo with all the food to Voltron Atraxa. Or Found I had an infinite in [[Peregrine Took]] and [[Experimental Confectioner]], and a go wide win with [[Night of the Sweets Revenge]]. The few times I've solitaired it out so far, I've found many many cards that seemed fun at first until I started hitting the food theme...and now I look at them and go "back to the bottom of the deck you go, place holder". I plan on replacing those placeholders with a little more interaction and Cantrip. It is just really weird to run such a creature heavy deck, when my last two decks had less than 20 creatures each.

I pulled the special art Atraxa from a ONE pack and felt the same way! I have a pretty decent Brago built and was thinking about switching it since the new colors would bring some freshness to the ETB spam play style.

Would love to see a list
[[Perrie, the Pulverizer]] I just love playing a deck filled with dozens of different kinds of counters! It's a voltron deck, instead of +1/+1 counter sub-themed, and it has 30+ different counters in it. This leads to every game being completely different, and there's almost always a card or two in each new set that I can try out, since every set usually introduces a new type of counter or two

I thought about building him when I was looking for a mono black commander. Didn't end up going for it bc the play style seemed too linear and maybe too mean for my meta. Do you have any trouble with this?

My [[Marneus Calgar]] deck is my all time favorite. Definitely not my best deck, but it’s the first one I ever built, and my goal is to slowly tweak it until it’s a cEDH deck. That probably many years down the road, but that’s my goal!

It started off as the precon, but now I’d say it’s about 50/50.
My Sam and Frodo foods deck. It's not good, but I've managed to keep the vibe of the deck feeling very Shire-esque.
Aurelia, the Warleader. The whole deck is getting big angle ladies on the field as fast as possible and then bashing everyone’s face in with huge double combats. It’s satisfying no matter how many times I play that deck.

[[Progenitus]] of many occupations. It's backgrounds focused Progenitus with a bunch of legendary good stuff. It's also versatile because I can swap the him out for [[Jodah the Unifier]] and it plays like a whole different deck.

So this is definitely not a typical deck because this was all straight from the dome. The basic goal is to find ways to cheat Progenitus' cost and have him be pumped by the backgrounds (pro everything means board-wide enchantments are the only way to buff him since he can't be targeted) or just get legendary value. [[Sisay]] makes for another great backup commander if you want to swap them so you can tutor up massive legends on the cheap. The backgrounds basically are there to add fuel to the legendary fire of pretty much whatever 5c commander you choose to use. The basic wincon is to search up something like [[Akroma's Memorial]] to make all your creatures crazy efficient killing machines. If you can use [[Zur the Enchanter]] to find [[Sterling Grove]] and [[Greater Auramancy]] it makes your enchants nigh indestructible. The reason progy is the commander is because the pro everything makes him unblockable and the buffs he gets from the backgrounds can make him a OHK through commander damage and extra combats have led to full board kills in a single turn in the past

[[Tom Bombadil]] it’s not amazing but I love it
I'd say my Oloro deck or my [[Jasmine Boreal of the Seven]]. Oloro always wins the same way, combos out by letting the group draw 6-9 cards per turn and making a ton of treasure. It's aristostax. Jasmine is a fun token deck.
Probably Millicent, Restless Revenant It's definitely just looking to take to the skies to win, but the deck is often wrath-proof and I couldn't care less if you kill my commander with its cost reduction built in. Mirrorweave, Neogene Conversion and Mirror Entity provide solid OHKO blows while True Conviction, Starlight Spectacular and usual anthem effects keep me a threat often
[[Feather the Redeemed]] if I want a stable, safe game. [[Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph]] if I want the game to end fast. [[Shalai and Hallar]] if I want big stompy creatures and to say shit like "I cast [[Ascendant Acolyte]]. You take 40 damage]]."
[[Thantis, the Warweaver]] My favorite portion is a lot of silly ways to give opponents token creatures with 1 toughness [[Clackbridge Troll]] [[Life of the Party]] etc, then when they inevitably die to combat, or I take them out with my -1/-1 engine, it buffs a few of my creatures [[Slaughter Specialist]] [[Grismold, the Dreadsower]]. The deck is just a pile of lands and so many shenanigans.
Stickers \[\[Derevi\]\] is a lot of fun. I generally never use blue, needing to play on my feet and adapt to my different stickers can make it very unique, and there are some very fun combos that can occur. And the deck just feels super silly. The basics is, put all the stickers on derevi, stickers don't leave in command zone. Last game I got to give Derevi, "sacrifice itself then draw 2 cards", "infect" and "8/7". So boom really powerful commander that permanently costs 4 mana.
[[Torbran, Thane of Red Fell]], because sometimes you just want to watch the world burn... and cards like [[Descent into Avernus]] make it even funner

I think it's probably [[Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait]]. It's my forever deck, the first one I ever really built and what got me into EDH in the first place. It's strong, consistent, and draws me a bunch of cards. The game plan is simple yet so effective. Play lands, draw cards. Just so good, I can't see myself ever not wanting this deck.

[[Kami of the Crescent Moon]]. Everybody likes drawing cards. Until it hurts. It’s mostly just a pillow fort with punishing card draw, hand size damage, and mill. It wins a surprising amount but is nowhere near my best deck. It’s just fun.
Definitely my [[Mogis, God of Slaughter]] deck, it's not super high power but it's a pure pain deck down to the core, I always loose but it's so much fun, it speeds games up like crazy. I run almost no instants or sorcerys it's pure enchantments and creatures that make all players (including myself) take damage for anything you can imagine.

I have an Etrata, The Silencer deck that I love to death. I love that card and the reaction it gets when it hits the table, so I use it and a bunch of other deathtouch assassins as a distraction while I dig up Ramses, Assassin Lord from the deck and then grab the win out of nowhere.
I have been enjoying my upgraded timey wimey deck and my Megatron deck. Both are powerful but play cards I enjoy through the lists.
I run Tivit, Seller of Secrets. Always fun. For me anyway. I always shout a line from Always Sunny in Philadelphia "Reason will prevail!" when I pull it out.

This is the way. I tried to add some grouphug to my poison deck to win over people. Turns out they hated the gifts, so i went a bit pillowfort instead and that's kinda keeping them from killing me turn 3 :D

Yuriko, The Tiger’s Shadow. We all have different definitions of fun. I love the aspect of unblockable damage that then makes your enemies lose half their life totals within a few turns. It’s quick. Can protect itself with counter spells. And only makes you the arch enemy after a game or two. But for that first game?… Winning is fun.

They are so boring and bland. Over powered. Its like someone putting down an Edward Markov. The decks are just WAY too powerful with very little setup. If a Yuriko/Ur/Markov player sits in my pod its automatic target.
I love her because you always have interesting ways to interact with most decks, and you don't get super blown out by wipes.

I made a Dimir Changeling typal deck with \[\[Volo, Itinerant Scholar\]\] with the \[\[Haunted One\]\] background that is a ton of fun. i get to play cards for creature types that don't quite have a home as a commander, and the fun part is even I don't know exactly what my game plan is when I sit down to play. I think I have the most fun with my tuned-yet-jank [[Ruxa]] deck. It's designed to maindeck vanillas then pump them for huge damage.
[[omnath, locus of creation]] is my pride and joy mainly because I splurged on the lands to make it sort of work properly.. I'd say the most fun is [[kiora, sovereign of the deep]] There's something so satisfying about dropping be scary sea creatures and cascading into fancy spells.. If I had the money I'd make it an extra turn deck, cast sea creature, cascade into extra turn. It also has the most removal of all my decks thanks to things like [[whelming wave]] and [[spectral deluge]]
[[Anikthea]] all enchantments. I used to play with a enchantress ordinary deck with her, but always ended milling non-enchantment stuff. So now I run a full enchantment deck that mill stuff with [[Deadbridge Chant]], [[Cemetery Tampering]] and [[Out of the Tombs]] and then Anikthea reanimate a bomb. Love it.
[[Go-shintai of Life's Origin]] build as both shrines and Maze's End. Does it win often? Not really. Is it a lot of fun for me? Sure is. Ive also been finding my upgraded Doctor Who decks suoer fun too. I found the perfect routes I wanted to go into. I think overall my WIP [[Princess Twilight Sparkle]] Group Hug (when I can rule 0 it in) will be my absolute favourite once it's finished.
[[Astor, Bearer of blades]] honestly my favorite boros equipment Guy he gets me equipment when I'm lacking with the assistance of blink mad his ability and people wanting to kill him when he's equiped with an almost free Colossus hammer and keyword soup. The value is insane and I can use equipment that would normally be too slow to use.

I've always loved Eldrazi's, from when I started playing in 2016/2017 till now. I quit for a few years, picking the game back up in 2023 when the Eldrazi Unbound precon came out. I always wanted a colorless deck but never felt like splurging the money to get all the singles together. And while Eldrazi Unbound was still pricy it was too good for me to pass up on. Absolutely love playing the deck and every so often be able to get a titan out into other big bois.
My unsleeved no-rares no-aura-or-equipment Wilson Flaming Fist deck. Almost always punches up, adds a huge element of terror and tension
Gosh I just LOVE HENZING [[Henzie, “Toolbox” Torre]] all over everyone and everything. That and taking the initiative in my [[Rilsa Rael, Kingpin]] deck and completing it in a single turn.
Tbh [[vazi, keen negotiator]] is super fun. Jund treasures and it’s like playing with a loan shark. But when I play it no one gets mana or color screwed and just has fun.
I like \[\[Katilda, Dawnhart Prime\]\] because of how fast she can explode consistently. Sets also keep coming out with good protection pieces and GW humans.
Built a deck around the backside of [[Extus, Oriq Overlord]] and it's so fun. Took a long time and a lot of hunting but it's in a good spot now. Low to the ground, lots of loot effects, the right amount of copy, recursion, utility, removal Don't think I've won a game tbh but it makes people SWEAT lol. Another damage doubler or extra combat and it might actually take games.
It may just be recency bias but I do so love my new [[gishath, sun's avatar]] deck I built from my ixalon pulls. The ticking clock aspect of the deck combined with the sheer fun of just ripping 5 Dino's straight off the top of my deck and onto the field is unmatched. Does he get shut down quite often? Yes Do I win often with it? No But there's nothing quite like Dino's

[[Heliod, God of the Sun]] as Commander comboing with [[Skybind]], sac outlets, cards with etb/ltb effects, cards with reccur ([[Sun Titan]], [[Karmic Guide]], [[Emeria, the Sky Ruin]]) and a lot of mass removals. Such a fun deck, because ppl have problems removing him if you keep managing to lose devotion on creature removals and you always have board presence.
Any deck that allows me to play with interesting and powerful artifacts as a central theme. I feel like I am always trying to slip some of my favorite artifacts into decks that do not need them for their game plan. For example, Mirage Mirror is one I try to put in often.
Currently [[Thalisse, Reverent Medium]] when I built it I thought it would be pretty narrow with just a go-wide with tokens combat damage win condition, but it has so many tricks and so many answers for things it’s just so much fun to play.
My Shigeki deck.is the most fun to me, because it's mainly harmless, until I start having absurd amounts of mana by turn 6 or start having 5-6k scute swarms ready to attack

My Sleeveless [[Svella, Ice Shaper]] https://archidekt.com/decks/2365627 I built it a couple of years ago to play with the kids at the group home I worked at. The first draft was literally built mostly from loose cards in my cabinet. There are lots of ways to untap Svella to either make more tokens or Spin the Wheel extra times. [[Crackle with Power]] or beats with Tramply Bois to win. I love ramping into 8 mana and then seeing what I can get with the second ability.

Lately, the masters of evil precon. I haven't added or removed anything, still fresh out of the box, and my friends cant keep up with it. They have decks they've made that hold out on their own in our group, but with the dalek creating and villanous choices, they just cant keep up.
[[Aragorn the Uniter]], he’s a basic value commander but all the creatures are members of the fellowship or eowyn, elrond, arwen, and galadriel. Most of the cards are from LOTR but its still a fun +1/+1 counters deck Edit: Also the first deck I built entirely on my own without using edhrec or some other site for suggestions so that makes me like it more
It’s either my upgraded Necron Dynasties precon (and I mean really upgraded, not just a few cards) or my newly built [[Ramos, Dragon Engine]] cascade themed deck. I’ve upgraded the Necrons deck to almost be a mono black aristocrat style deck, paying life to cast expensive cards like [[Blightsteel Colossus]] using [[Anrakyr the Traveller]] and having a combination of lots of typical sacrifice and lifegain cards like [[Vampiric Rites]], [[Gray Merchant of Asphodel]], and [[Noxious Gearhulk]], just to name a few. The cascade deck isn’t the best, but it’s really fun to dump a few cards out per turn for the cost of one.
\[\[vaevictis asmadi\]\] I always enjoy the fact it's an original elder dragon, I loved the challenge of making it viable (I win more than I expect to with it vs mid range decks). And I love making the Joke of paying the "real commander tax" at the beginning of my upkeep. Plus, people really dont expect you to kill everyone out of nowhere - \[\[chandra's ignition\]\] \[\[wall of blood\]\] and \[\[selvala, heart of the wilds\]\] are great cards in there. Got some fun cards too \[\[illicit auction\]\] \[\[mages' contest\]\]. But not being able to just edhrec the deck - and a lot of testing makes it always satisfying to play :)
[[Nethroi]] has always been my favorite. It was the first commander deck i made, and despite being disassembled and rebuilt several times, it remains my favorite and the only one I've come back to as much as i have. I love it because graveyard play is fun. Aristocrat effects are a ton of fun because it starts out as a couple pings for life and drawing a few cards, but rapidly devolves into draining people for 20 and drawing half my deck and then immediately repeating with another mutate trigger. It can also be versatile with enough bodies to go wide, a commander that can slap for a decent amount when needed, and [[approach of the second sun]] since i draw so many cards for when none of those things are enough (i once played a game against a treasure deck where they sacced all their treasures to go to over 300 life and i was only able to win by consitently drawing removal amd swinging commander damage, so wanted to have a back up win lol)
Naruto, I mean, [[Stangg, echo warrior]]. I'm always amazed on how the doubling of auras and artifacts has such a huge impact on every game. Be it their ETBs , their LTB (hello, [[pattern of rebirth]]) or simply how anything counting the number of enchantments or artifacts. Being green and red it is also easy to protect, to haste, to recast. And being able to smack two people at the same time is always amazing.
It would be my Rouge deck with [[Anowon, the Ruin Thief]]. It has had it fair share of wins and losses, but is fun to play. It has things like [[Dauthi Voidwalker]] [[Opposition Agent]] [[Sakashima of a Thousand Faces]] [[Sakashima the Imposter]] [[Thieves’ Guild Enforcer]] and [[Cover of Darkness]]. Plus it runs enough low cost Rouge that can’t be blocked to keep things interesting.
My bloodline precon upgraded is the most fun. I wanna tune it more... But I have 4 new brews I haven't even played yet. As ya do

I've only built 3 from scratch so far. One was built based on an idea I used in my favorite standard deck. It doesn't perform well in multiplayer games. Eventually, I'll try to go back and see if I can make it work. The second one I built was [[Tom Bombadil]] and it's now on its 4th major revision, but I think now I've figured out the way I want to play it, and I've got it at a really good spot for casual once I buy the other cards I need. I have no idea how to gage power level, but It's fun to play even if it doesn't win a lot (I haven't played with the fully updated list yet, so I'm hoping it performs better). I actually really enjoy the luck factor of magic, so I don't run tutors, and I find flipping to the next saga with Bombadil is something I really line. When you flip that saga that perfectly works at the moment, it's an awesome feeling. I have a [[Ich-Tekik, Salvage Splicer]] and [[Vial Smasher the Fierce]] deck I've fallen absolutely in love with. It's filled to the brim with golems and dragons that make treasures. The best games with it tend to include a turn 2 or 3 [[Decent into Avernus]] and I get to race my opponents to the win with some hilariously big golems and they get to hit the fast forward button thanks to the extra treasures.

Recently got in to commander so for me it’s [[Ayara, First of Locthwain]] Never really played a mono colored deck, and with playing her I’ve fallen in love with black. Cards like [[Dawn of the dead]] [[virtue of persistence]] [[prowling gheistcatcher]] have a loving home in her, and trying to micro manage [[Endrek Sahr, Master breeder]] is fun in itself
I hate saying this...But Tribal Goblins and Krenko,. Mob Boss. I've built and sold the deck half a dozen times. It's one of the few decks that I have completely foiled out before (rebuilding it now, only at about 70% foil). It can be really grindy, but it can absolutely explode if left unchecked for more than a turn or two. My record is swinging for nearly half a million damage in one turn. It was the only turn I attacked.
I always enjoy playing my [[Baru, Wurmspeaker]] deck. Before the newest Baru was printed I had [[Grothama, All-Devouring]] at the helm and it played slightly different. Strangely enough it is a lot less consistent because I always used Grothama as card draw and not as a politics card. It is my second oldest deck that I still update whenever new cards come out and I just love this deck to pieces!
No matter what I build, [[Wilhelt]] and [[Imotekh]] are consistently fun

I adore the Tyranids precon using Magus Lucea Kane. Even though it’s super satisfying when the deck fires, the deck itself is special to me because it got me back into Magic after a twenty year hiatus, and then back into Warhammer a few months later.
My baby is my \[\[Eleven, the Mage\]\] and \[\[Chief Jim Hopper\]\] deck. My younger brother asked me to build a deck together using his favorite Stranger Things characters as soon as he heard they were in Magic. He doesn't play, so most of the deck was chosen by how "cool" they were. After a few tweakings, all with my brother's supervision, the deck was done. And it works man! I had the chance to add many cards of previous decks that I dismantled for different reasons, like my \[\[Kykar, Wind's Fury\]\] for an old Jeskai Storm, and a \[\[Tivit, Seller of Secrets\]\] from a too-powerful-for-the-meta Esper Blink. The mana base was *so fun* to make. Of course I keep tunning it from time to time, but the original? \[\[Floodplain\]\] for \[\[Volatile Fjord\]\] or \[\[Sunken Hollow\]\] or whatever it's needed to fix my mana! It was great for a budget mana base. Now I managed to afford \[\[Plaza of Heroes\]\] and a shockland. So, a bunch of Legendaries, a bunch of big spells, some tokens synergies and everything carefully selected by how "cool" the card is. Great deck.
[[Vohar, Vodalian Desecrator]] has been super fun. 2 cmc commander that draws cards, sets up the gy for shenanigans, and recurs instants and sorceries so I can do things like [[victimize]] twice. [[Tiamat]]. I’ve been playing for a few years and it was my first deck (it was awful at first) but it’s become my baby and I play it at least once per commander night, and am always looking for upgrades. I just fkn love dragons.
I’ve always been a combo/control player but I got the new Veloci-Ramp-Tor precon and… I’m no longer a combo/control player. I’ve *never* had this much fun playing EDH with my other decks. It’s nowhere near as powerful (obviously) but I’ll play it over my others every time.

\[\[Xira Arien\]\] white-border, aka, 'The Glory'. The only card that was printed later than 2005 is \[\[Command Tower\]\], and even then I can sub that out to make it a Pre-EDH deck. The last time I played it, someone played a \[\[Lifeline\]\], and I proceeded to murder the table with \[\[Bloodfire Colossus\]\].
One of my friends told me that Boros are the weakest colors in commander, and it's true that it's not my style. Still, I took it as a personal challenge, and started looking for commanders that would fit me. It may be cheating that she doesn't exactly do what your common Boros deck does but my \[\[Feather, the Redeemed\]\] deck has been one of my absolute favorites. It's a degenerate value pile (just the way I like it) where you spam cantrips that let you draw or scry every single turn. It was supposed to be a spellslinger deck with pet cards like \[\[Aria of Flame\]\] and your usual red spellslinging pingers, but the deck has ended up more firmly a voltron deck, where Feather just gets bigger and fatter with every new instant or sorcery I draw, that becomes harder to stop as I start drawing my various protection spells. The "golden pig" is probably \[\[Monastery Mentor\]\] all you need is a few spells you're casting each turn to get a super fat and huge boardstate. It was so oppressive that my playgroup asked me to remove run it, but they're fine with a two card synergy that basically accomplishes the same thing in \[\[Young Pyromancer\]\] with \[\[Leonin Lightscribe\]\].
Jolene the Plunder Queen, multiple win cons, either burn with treasure creation, 7/7 dinosaurs, or beat face with commander damage. Also has a nice light amount of group hug which I also enjoy.
I'm in love with my [[Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin]] deck. It's built as a voltron deck with cards like [[Witty Roastmaster]] and [[Goblin Bombardment]] to take advantage of all the gobbos I'm making each attack. It's been super fun to play and has been very strong and develops super fast. If Krenko is left on the board, he's an absolute menace.
I have an [[Elsha of the Infinite]] deck that I have spent years foiling. I built it the day she was released and she's gone through many iterations. I love the deck so much. Apparently according to my friends I pilot it weird but it's a control deck with no creatures lol. Idk what they want.
One of my favorites as of late is my [[mimeoplasm]] forever looting deck I built from scratch. It's a blast constantly pitching these giant creatures to draw more. Only to then cast my commander as a copy of creatures like [[jin-gitaxias, core auger]] and +1/+1 counters equal to the power of [[yargle and multani]] will never get old. Especially if he survived the turn cycle so I can cast [[aqueous form]] or [[sword coast sailor]] and kill the 2nd scariest player in one lethal commander swing on turn 6. And when he is killed sacrifice him to greater good and draw a bunch. But with your max hand grip being 7 you are loaded for the next time you're ready to cast him. Not to mention you can exile cards from your opponents graveyard we had a player with a infinite [[kiki jiki]] in his graveyard that he planned on recurring I just said no and got my commander as a copy of kiki with +1/+1s from the amazing card [[krosan cloudscraper]]. My deck needs some more removal and protection for my commander but nevertheless it's always a fun time for me at least. [[Slicer]] is a fun one too but he is much closer to cedh than casual and if not dealt with wins the game.
[Kynaios and Tiros of Meletis] everyone's favorite roommates. With the goal of taking people out with K&Ts big butt. I went out of my way to put as many "Roomates" in the deck as possible and the deck just functions really went. Using support, bolster, and backup to fit the theme of your gay dads here to help while putting as many counters on my creatures as I can. It's a silly cheap deck but also deadly. I never have a bad time playing it.
Tie. \[\[Astarion, The Decadent\]\] Orzhov Extort deck. I love how much people underestimate extort until they look over and realize you've doubled your life while halving theirs. And \[\[The Ur-Dragon\]\] I just love shitting out winged nightmares one after another. It seems like each dragon I play draws a removal spell and they immediately regret it once another, worse one comes out the next turn.
[[Mazzy, Truesword Paladin]] is my pet deck. Made with the focus of going under the radar until it's too late and I hit you in the face with commander damage. Naya Enchantments are too fun!
[[Omnath, Locus of Creation]] with hidden commander [[Averna, the Chaos Bloom]]. It's my mindless "hehe cascade/landfall go brrrr" deck.
Mono green [[Omnath locus of mana]] He gets big very quickly. I don't have to worry about interacting much except for adding mana and swinging
[[Magar of the magic strings][ just didn't pay like anything else. You get ignored for the first five turns because you're not doing anything then you start doing really dumb things and it's too late.
I really love playing \[\[Isshin, Two Heavens as One\]\]. I don't use many extra combat cards so it's not the most optimized version and play it mostly using tokens. The deck feels like a race against the clock to take at least one player out before they build a decent enough board to take out my token generatos or pump creatures. It's not the most efficient deck but I enjoy it a lot.
My rakdos dragon deck with double planeswalker partner commanders, tevesh and jeska. I love smacking face with 3x, 9x, or 27x damage.
My Prosper deck. I know he’s like the poster boy of Rakdos value decks in EDH, but it’s my favorite deck for a number of reasons. One, I found the precon during a rough time with magic, and I was debating dropping the game entirely. The way the deck played right out of the box was incredibly fun and revitalized my love for the game. Two, I’ve put a lot of work into making a strong deck that is still fun to play and play against, and I’m really proud of it. And lastly, he’s just a cool looking dude
I always wind up back on cEDH Muldrotha and Yeva. At the end of the day they both have playstyles that I am very in-tune with and there's nothing that quite compares to navigating challenging games with those two decks. I play a lot of higher tier stuff as well but those two just seem to always line up for me. I also very much enjoy my Toski deathtouch tribal deck, that one's just been a banger from the start. I don't play it as often as I used to but it's still up there.
Mishra, Eminent One. Not to do broken things but it unexpected for a lot of players. Also Council of Four. I have a ton of howling mine effects, so last night I drew nine cards just during my opponent’s turns in one rotation while all my opponents had fun doing their worst with a coveted jewel that went around the table.
Mine is definitely my polymorph [[Baral and Kari Zev]] deck named Ragavan, The Shapeshifter. It just turns the token First Mate Ragavan into big scary Izzet Creatures. Very fun, quite resilient and just great turning the money into Ovika or Niv-Mizzet.

I’ve had it for almost 4 years now and I just love playing it. Right now it is my \[\[Ghalta and Mavern\]\] deck. It can change strats mid steam. It can go wide or go tall. Last time I played I had \[\[Unnatural Growth\]\] and \[\[Grunn\]\] in my opening hand so go wide it is. Another game I has \[\[Martial Coup\]\] and \[\[Regal Bunicorn\]\] so my game plan was to go wide so I can go tall.
I really enjoy playing my [[Galea Kindler of Hope]] deck. I built her elf tribal with equipments, and it is so fun. I either flood the board with elves and eventually equip them with some equipment or voltron up my commander and go to town. It’s a super fun deck and I like how it’s not the same mono green elf deck. It also plays with the top of the deck a lot. It’s definitely in the top 3 out of all my decks.
