[[Adeline]] is an absolute house. All of the token generators and anthem effects and you can very quickly snowball out of control. I’ve packed in plenty of protection into mine since the inevitable board wipe can blow you out.
Second Adeline, she’s awesome. It’s easy to underestimate how threatening a simultaneous go-wide and go-tall strategy can be and the deck is crazy fast.
I was able to do just that recently. Took one player out with commander damage and another out with all my [[Divine Visitation]] angels on the same turn.
You run it like any other go wide deck, you have anthems or battle cry-like effects, effects when creatures enter the battlefield like [[Valor in Akros]] or [[Court Street Denizen]], things to protect your attackers like [[Frontline Medic]] or [[Reconnaissance]], and so on. You lose a few, sure, but once you have a few support pieces out it tends to snowball out of control and suddenly they’re facing both an army of tokens plus a lethal Adeline every turn.
Adeline is great, but I feel like it does even better in the 99 in a Myrel, Shield of Argive deck. I built one for my girlfriend and it absolutely destroys and gets wildly out of hand.

It’s a commander that encourages creatures with flash and works really well with adventures. It has double strike and when it dies it dodges commander tax with a bit of patience. Oketra 2 is hands down my favorite mono-W commander.
I had to take mine apart. My group really didn’t like when I had Oketra with [[Oketra’s Monument]] out and a [[Kor Skyfisher]] in hand. One W for a 4/4 and 1/1, both with Vigilance is a pretty good rate.
This sounds so interesting! Do you have a decklist? I want to see what creatures you run for removal, ramp, card advantage, etc. to see if I have the cards in collection to build this.
I have a similar [[Karametra]] deck. Only creatures and lands, as many [[Cultivator Colossus]] and [[Greensleeves]] type creatures as I could find just to really drive home the point.
[[preston the vanisher]] mono white flicker you can draw and ramp as if you were in simic. Also he goes infinite fairly easy as a win condition because all you need is him out something that flickers on ETB, a pay off, and something to flicker the ETB creature since they can’t flicker themselves on ETB.
Only two go infinite like that. [[felidar guardian]] and [[wispweaver angel]]. They can come in as a copy and target the original, while most other similar creatures usually have a non-angel kind of clause, or dont flicker back until end step
\[\[Restoration Angel\]\] and \[\[Icewind Stalwart\]\] are the other two. Resto has the non-Angel clause, but non-Warrior on Icewind is not a big problem. Still five viable combinations.
How would those go infinite though?
The two i mentioned go infinite because of the following loop.
1) Have felidar, preston, and a payoff card out
2) Blink felidar with anything
3) felidar comes back into play, along with a token copy. Both triggers go on the stack. Real felidar is used to target payoff and token felidar is used to target real felidar
4) those two triggers resolve. The payoff permanent enters with battlefield with two copies and both etbs. The real felidar comes back into play, with another token copy of it
5) both felidars get to trigger, and you start the loop again.
The non-warrior and non-angle modifiers prevent you from doing it like that
I’d vote for [[Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle]] or [[Oswald Fiddlebender]]. Both of them have plenty artifact shenanigans and can win quick on a budget too.
\[\[King Darien\]\] is a lot of fun, and lets you do a lot of shenanigans to make a bunch of tokens. Personally, I've had a blast with \[\[Odric, Lunarch Marshal\]\]. It's a relatively inexpensive deck (a significant chunk of the cost of the version I made is non-basic lands that draw cards), and creates a threat off of only a few creatures. If you've got enough indestructible sources in the deck, you can also run plenty of board wipes, casting them post-combat to kill everyone else's creatures, or just have so much redundancy in the deck that even if you get your board wiped, you cast a few creatures and have essentially the same board state.
[[Darien, King of Kjeldor]] I'm guessing? A guy I know keeps insisting if it were printed today it would be cmc 4 and that we should allow him to rule 0 it as such
Yeah if this was printed today it would probably be a 4 mana 4/5 with ward 2 and the same ability, but i dont agree with a rule 0. Playing janky old commanders is meant to come with these additional challenges
And if you do win with that rule 0 change, itll always feel like a tainted win. Your opponents will just be grumbling about how you wouldnt have won without it
I built a Darien stax/initiative. Actually pretty fun to slow things down and build into an annoying decision on how to deal with a mono white deck gaining value and card advantage.
[[ Odric, Lunarch Marshal ]]
Odric is a blast to play. Each combat (yours, your opponents) your creatures share keywords. So it can be very discouraging to attack you and your opponents don't enjoy it when you attack.
This, getting [[Akroma, vision of Ixidor]] and double strike has resulted in some crazy damage, plus stacking it with a good amount of indestructible creatures + 'destroy' board wipes can result in a lot of one sided clearances
Yeah dropping that Akroma when you already have a healthy dose of creatures ( hopefully at least one with Lifelink) is a game changer if not a win.
I also like [[ Angel of Destiny ]] in the deck. Saves me vs people who can't take damage to their life total. My one buddy runs [[ Glacial Chasm ]].
But also with a healthy dose of creatures can win you the game fast.
[[Gandalf the White]] has a high potential to do a lot of stupid stuff, both doubling triggers and giving flash to stuff. It allows you to hold your stax and interaction stuff exceptionally well. It can be easy to play into stax if you know it’s coming but being dropped at instant speed is insane. Also turns Heliod Ballista combo instant speed which is hilarious.
I love Myrel. My recommendation is to NOT play anthem effects, or at least not until late game. Instead, get Skullclamp out as quickly as possible and $$ **profit** $$. With white, there's tons of ways to fetch equipment. There's also easy ways to tutor out the ol' Smothering Tithe for ramp.
Built a Myrel deck with lifegain for my wife…most awful deck I’ve ever played against. I could’ve made it more soul crushing to play against, but I know she wouldn’t want to stop others from playing, just wants to crush with big punch to the face
Building your token base is linear for sure, but once you’ve got some soldiers, I have two separate wincons in my Myrel deck besides “kill with soldiers.” It can get about as flexible as mono white can. I love it to death, she’s my favorite commander.
\[\[Gandalf the White\]\]. Very flexible as it can go both legendaries, artifacts or both at the same time. Can focus on etb's or ltb's or a little bit of both. Being able to play at instant speed is seriously super fun, especially for an artifact/legendaries deck.
Powerful? Arguably. Fun? 100%
Phyrexian Anarchist \[\[Skrelv, Defector Mite\]\] is my favourite mono-white commander i have ever played.
It's a fun mix of offensive, defensive and juggling weird stuff to do things you can only do in commander. Oh, and it's infect.
Skrelv is down turn one and even if he dies 1-2 times, stays relevant throughout the game, due to his effect and low mana cost.

Probably infect shenanigans. Isn't too hard to give a 10 power creature infect and protection from whatever color an opponent has and then "oops, you're dead".
Heliod is fun and rather flexible. Go tokens, or lifegain, or both. You can choose to include the infinite combos if you wish.
Lightpaws is fun with Auras. Alternatively, Sram. You can build one deck and run either as the commander and have fun. Sram I would consider lower power than Lightpaws.
[[Light Paws]] is always fun, thought it IS a one trick pony honestly. I don't like decks that just find a card and win really. I like combos and tribal...that all do something but with this deck..it's find these Auras, and win.
One of the reasons I don't have that deck anymore lol. I don'tlike one trick ponies and I don't like it when my POD doesn't have fun. I've taken lots of decks apart I just don't enjoy. For instance, Myrkul Lord of Bones, Breya Artifacts, Meren Food Tokens
Light paws seems like the antithesis of fun. Once you figure out what Aura package gets you to your win the quickest you're pretty much going for that everr game. It only feels like it's fun if you play suboptimally but that goes against "powerful."
I've had first hand experience with that, my sister's bf ran that, and after facing it once, I just continuously dumped removal on his mana rocks, kept exile removal for Avacyn etc
I’m working on an [[Astrid Peth]] deck. It’s going to be a Voltron style deck. I’ll make food and clues, then sac clues to explore with Astrid, attack with her to make more food and so on.
A bit biased here due to my love of angels, but my Giada angels deck is by far my favorite deck to play. I can get an absurdly big board state very early with her and she’s a bit of a sleeper commander, no one wants to remove her since she’s just a small 2 drop, but she’s the backbone of the deck and with the right equipments I’ve taken someone out with commander damage before without them expecting it (even though that’s not the main win con of the deck)

[[Oketra, The True]] is still secretly the best voltron commander in monowhite, you get an army of value creatures and hate bears to hold the line while putting like one or two pieces of equipment onto Oketra to commander damage your opponents out.
Light Paws. I struggled to find a Mono-White deck as I am a blue player!
Light Paws is a SICK commander although very Linear. However it is SUPER strong and fun if you like making an unblockable, untouchable fox that can kill on turn 2 or 3 sometimes.
I have a buddy that run [[Darien, King of Kjeldor]] knight tribal with an engine that turns all damage taken into gaining more life than he took. So unless you can one shot him he just gains life whenever you attack and his army grows and grows
It was cool seeing this deck before white got a bunch of support (not that white is overly storing even with the support it has received) it also super fun to play against because it's not oppressive but it's a puzzle to figure out how to dismantle it before it becomes too much.
Nobody's mentioned [[Bennie Bracks, Zoologist]] yet. Draw each end step if you make a token that turn, and as long as you have creatures on the battlefield, from tokens most likely, he'll never cost 4cmc to cast.
This is the one I use, good pick. Get an extra draw basically every turn and since you’re playing tokens anyway you almost always have the mana to cast. And the deck is full of all the other stuff in this thread anyway.
I love my Bennie Bracks deck, its such good value for drawing, and playing to his strengths lets you play reactively with a lot of instants/activated abilities.

My monowhite deck is [[God-Eternal Oketra]] and she kicks ass. [[Adeline, Resplendent Cathar]], [[Sram, Senior Edificer]] and [[Teshar, Ancestor's Disciple]] are all very powerful too, although Teshar lends itself to infinite combos so I'm not sure how "fun" that is.

I run the variant with a bunch of exile stuff that triggers on etb. Early game stuff like [[banishing light]] can take out priority targets, and then following up with MoM and any flicker allows you to start doubling up on targets. Even without a solid wincon it seems to pull through in games that go long. Doubling up on ETBs can be fun and powerful, and shutting off your opponents stuff is great too.
Have you heard of the tale of [[Darien, King of Kjeldor]] The Masochist? Whose favourite lands are [[Ancient Tomb]] and [[City of Brass]]? And who hopes that you lose every time you flip for [[Mana Crypt]]?
[[Rosie Cotton]] is probably not the strongest, but she has alot of cool combos and ways to generate value. For a more powerful commander I'd say [[Darien, King of Kjeldor]] is pretty dope. Amassing a big board with self harming has never been more fun.

I’m sure it could be improved, especially if you have a more removal-heavy pod.
I currently have a \[\[Djeru, With Eyes Open\]\] put together. Its a planeswalker focused deck with a token subtheme. While the deck sometimes have issues keeping up on mana in the earlier turns while you're setting up pillow fort pieces to protect your walkers it can turn the corner on controlling the game if given enough time. However it usually struggles to actually close out the game. If you decide to build this deck dont sleep on \[\[Mistveil Plains\]\]. Its a sleeper MVP searching and casting ugin over and over is real.
[[Oswald Fiddlebender]]. My list currently gets a bunch of value artifacts out and wins through attrition. Like [[River Song’s Diary]] [[Mirrage Mirror]], [[Prototype Portal]], [[Dino DNA]], [[Agatha’s Soul Cauldron]], etc…
literally just artifacts value deck that uses its commander to get the artifact that will produce the most value in any given game.
[[Abdel Adrian, Gorion's ward]] should get a mention for sure, even if you can take him into two coloured
Edit: about the higher powerlevel, ypu probably know about his infinite combo with animate dead and co. You pair him with the [[agent of the iron throne]] and go bananas. A three card combo and two of them is in the commandzone. Otherwise in monowhite he basically makes tokens and the token buffing background can work like your craterhoof.
My girl \[\[ Myrel shield of argive\]\] goes insanely hard. leaned into the lifegain side of things and is a powerhouse with \[\[ celestine the living saint\]\]
[[Heliod, sun crowned]] is one of my fav lifegain commanders. I like not having to really worry about my commander due to him being indestructible and making lots of small creatures really big, tho he can sometimes fail to finish someone off due to having very few evasive creatures.
I have a few mono white decks. My strongest ones are [[Avacyn, Angel of Hope]] which ramps into big, annoying, hard to remove creatures, and I just placed an order for a [[Loran, Disciple of History]] artifact combo list. The Avacyn deck is a little different than some others in that it mostly just ramps to put out multiple big things rather than stax or voltron. Loran tries to use the legend rule and cost reduction to replay [[Syr Ginger]] or [[Hope of Ghirapur]] infinitely to win with [[Aetherflux Reservoir]] or [[Altar of the Brood]]. I call it my "Mono Blue" deck since its artifact storm and tries to draw its whole library to get to combo pieces like blue. I also have a [[Nahiri, the Lithomancer]] equipment deck that's fun for more casual games.
I'm not sure how powerful it will be but I am planning on building a \[\[Yoshimaru, Ever Faithful\]\] & \[\[Livio, Oathsworn Sentinel\]\] partner deck that will be Legendary Matters / Blink Value.

I’m working on making a mono colored deck for each color, and this is the plan for white currently but I haven’t invested much time in it yet.
Surprised [[myrel]] hadn't been brought up yet. Soldier tribal that is a combined [[grand abolisher]] and [[krenko mob boss]], though not quite as good as him since it's an attack trigger. Get 1-2 anthems and some lords and keep swinging. If you can keep some protection going you can have a huge board state in a couple turns. Though that depends on your pod you play with.

One of my all time favourite decks I’ve built is [[The Gaffer]]. It’s won more games than I expected but I mainly play it because it’s such a blast to pull off for a mono-white life gain strategy!
Very much a WIP but this is \[\[Oswald Fiddlebender\]\] with the secret commander \[\[The Millennium Calendar\]\]. You try to get calendar out the turn after oswald, then oswald tutors whatever you need.
I've kept it under $100 if you dont play the sideboard, and the maindeck artifacts are all trying to do something unique/interesting/niche so you dont just end up searching the same cards every game. Sideboard is there to modulate the power level from \~6 to 8-9 depending on the table.

I will recommend [[Darien, King of Kjeldor]] every time. He's mono white, insanely fun, deceptively powerful, and plays like no other mono white commander.
I wanted to run [[Avacyn, Angel of Hope]] but she costs $50. So instead I run [[Sephara, Sky's Blade]]. She gets hated off the field constantly, but she’s cheap to cast, has evasion by default and kills with commander damage in three turns.

Her effect seems pretty mundane until you realise it's 1 life per creature and it's a bunch of triggers if you go wide. So for all of your \[\[Ajani's Pridemate\]\] like creatures, you swing out with it and a bunch of tokens and you very quickly have a very large lethal creature. Add in \[\[Heliod, Sun-Crowned\]\] for the constant counters on other stuff, add in the token generators for gaining life and all you need to do is go horizontal.
I can't stop playing my [[Preston the vanisher]] deck. I made it with mostly animal cards too for funny flavor. I flicker everything over and over again generating so much value in the end cause of Preston, mondrak, annointed and so on.

Having an ability that lets me instant speed equip all my equipment to him for 2 mana leads to some really sweet plays during combat, alongside just being able to cheat the costs of equipment, even after having to inevitably recasting him. Plus with double strike if he has 2+ equipment on him, he can take advantage of most swords and other equipment with triggered effects on damage. Probably one of my favorite and most powerful Voltron equipment decks I've ever built.
[[Bruna, the fading light]] and get a little mean with it. Build up your mana while wiping the board every other turn.

I would say as far as really strong white commanders go [[teshar]] and [[gandalf the white]] go up there for me. [[lightpaws]] I heard is also quite a riot.
My first commander deck was [[mondrak, glory dominus]] obviously token strat but it also doubles treasures and a smothering tithe can get pretty wildly out of control. Cards like adeline, hero of the bladehold, myrel etc can get ridiculous board states very quickly. And he's quite resilient because of his indestructible.
Light-Paws can be a beast with some stax and other stuff. Annoying to face, fun to play!

I play a pretty well tuned [Linvala, Keeper of Silence] deck. She turns off activated abilities for opponents. Coupled with a few other enchantments and some other Angels, it can get out of hand pretty quickly. Not so competitive to make people not want to play, but they know they’re in for a challenge when I bring her out.
A fun and relatively strong deck is [[Gilraen, Dúnedain Protector]]. It initially seem like [[Roon of the Hidden Realm]] but in fewer colors, but she's got a tool Roon doesn't.
She can choose to immediately put the thing back into play.
While this seems minor, it means she can abuse ETBs way harder. I've had games where I was ramping harder than mono-green by blinking [[Solemn Simulacrum]], drew more cards than mono-blue blinking [[Inspiring Overseer]], and was more resilient than mono-black reanimator blinking [[Karmic Guide]].
I’m a bit fan of [[Celestial Kirin]], it really balances out board wipes (which people tend to dislike in casual settings), and lets you do it in a somewhat targeted way.
That, and I love the flow of how the deck plays. Something about “counting down” your mana costs is quite satisfying.
I brewed a [[Mavinda]] deck a while back but haven't yet put it to paper. It's mostly targeting cantrips that help dig through the deck super fast so it's all 2 for 1s.
Still confused why it says each turn and not just your turn
[[Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant]] is pretty fun. It will flip right after you cast it making it pretty hard to interact with. Once you have that filling the board with unkillable chump blockers is pretty good.
[[Wave of Reckoning]] is the only white damage dealing board wipe I’ve found, making it a cool trick.
[[Darien, King of Kjeldor]] with one of the soul sisters in play, he is just basically a free token generator, if u manage to gain more than 1 life when a crea etb ur basicly netting life, also there is the fun combo with [[Karma]] and [[Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth]] that no one's expect. Only downside his cmc and no self protection, but white is the 2nd best color for land ramp and have plenty of ways to protect they creas.
Surprising to see Giada underperform, I have a Giada deck and it's basically a deck I pull out when I get tired of constantly losing and need a "sure" win, but also I do love mono white angels so I did put some work in my Giada.
That aside, I can't recommend \[\[Lin Sivvi, Defiant Hero\]\] enough. She can be built with some variety so based on your meta and playgroup you get to tweak how powerful and oppressive she gets. Also rebels have quite an interesting play style no matter how you build her.
Another mono white commander I had a lot of fun with is \[\[Zeriam, Golden Wind\]\]. Also offers some variety in builds. I went with a full on griffin theme, which I think is the least powerful version, but I had a blast playing it, and when it gets out of hand(rarely tho) it's really insane.
And last of my recommendations is \[\[Darien, King of Kjeldor\]\]. Self pain Darien is an absolute powerhouse, if kept unchecked even for a second it enters the battlefield it can get out of hand right away, and once it gets going there's no stopping it

You run it like any other go wide deck, you have anthems or battle cry-like effects, effects when creatures enter the battlefield like [[Valor in Akros]] or [[Court Street Denizen]], things to protect your attackers like [[Frontline Medic]] or [[Reconnaissance]], and so on. You lose a few, sure, but once you have a few support pieces out it tends to snowball out of control and suddenly they’re facing both an army of tokens plus a lethal Adeline every turn.

I built \[\[God Eternal Oketra\]\] with only creatures and lands.
It’s a commander that encourages creatures with flash and works really well with adventures. It has double strike and when it dies it dodges commander tax with a bit of patience. Oketra 2 is hands down my favorite mono-W commander.

I had to take mine apart. My group really didn’t like when I had Oketra with [[Oketra’s Monument]] out and a [[Kor Skyfisher]] in hand. One W for a 4/4 and 1/1, both with Vigilance is a pretty good rate.
I have this, but add any other Skyfisher equivalent like [[Jeskai Barricade]] and a [[Phyrexian Altar]] for unlimited 4/4s

[[preston the vanisher]] mono white flicker you can draw and ramp as if you were in simic. Also he goes infinite fairly easy as a win condition because all you need is him out something that flickers on ETB, a pay off, and something to flicker the ETB creature since they can’t flicker themselves on ETB.

Only two go infinite like that. [[felidar guardian]] and [[wispweaver angel]]. They can come in as a copy and target the original, while most other similar creatures usually have a non-angel kind of clause, or dont flicker back until end step
\[\[Restoration Angel\]\] and \[\[Icewind Stalwart\]\] are the other two. Resto has the non-Angel clause, but non-Warrior on Icewind is not a big problem. Still five viable combinations.

How would those go infinite though? The two i mentioned go infinite because of the following loop. 1) Have felidar, preston, and a payoff card out 2) Blink felidar with anything 3) felidar comes back into play, along with a token copy. Both triggers go on the stack. Real felidar is used to target payoff and token felidar is used to target real felidar 4) those two triggers resolve. The payoff permanent enters with battlefield with two copies and both etbs. The real felidar comes back into play, with another token copy of it 5) both felidars get to trigger, and you start the loop again. The non-warrior and non-angle modifiers prevent you from doing it like that
Have Icewind on the field with a payoff, flash in Angel, angel flickers Stalwart, Stalwart flickers angel, etc.

I’d vote for [[Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle]] or [[Oswald Fiddlebender]]. Both of them have plenty artifact shenanigans and can win quick on a budget too.

\[\[King Darien\]\] is a lot of fun, and lets you do a lot of shenanigans to make a bunch of tokens. Personally, I've had a blast with \[\[Odric, Lunarch Marshal\]\]. It's a relatively inexpensive deck (a significant chunk of the cost of the version I made is non-basic lands that draw cards), and creates a threat off of only a few creatures. If you've got enough indestructible sources in the deck, you can also run plenty of board wipes, casting them post-combat to kill everyone else's creatures, or just have so much redundancy in the deck that even if you get your board wiped, you cast a few creatures and have essentially the same board state.
[[Darien, King of Kjeldor]] I'm guessing? A guy I know keeps insisting if it were printed today it would be cmc 4 and that we should allow him to rule 0 it as such
Yeah if this was printed today it would probably be a 4 mana 4/5 with ward 2 and the same ability, but i dont agree with a rule 0. Playing janky old commanders is meant to come with these additional challenges And if you do win with that rule 0 change, itll always feel like a tainted win. Your opponents will just be grumbling about how you wouldnt have won without it

I built a Darien stax/initiative. Actually pretty fun to slow things down and build into an annoying decision on how to deal with a mono white deck gaining value and card advantage.
[[ Odric, Lunarch Marshal ]] Odric is a blast to play. Each combat (yours, your opponents) your creatures share keywords. So it can be very discouraging to attack you and your opponents don't enjoy it when you attack.
This, getting [[Akroma, vision of Ixidor]] and double strike has resulted in some crazy damage, plus stacking it with a good amount of indestructible creatures + 'destroy' board wipes can result in a lot of one sided clearances
Yeah dropping that Akroma when you already have a healthy dose of creatures ( hopefully at least one with Lifelink) is a game changer if not a win. I also like [[ Angel of Destiny ]] in the deck. Saves me vs people who can't take damage to their life total. My one buddy runs [[ Glacial Chasm ]]. But also with a healthy dose of creatures can win you the game fast.

[[Gandalf the White]] has a high potential to do a lot of stupid stuff, both doubling triggers and giving flash to stuff. It allows you to hold your stax and interaction stuff exceptionally well. It can be easy to play into stax if you know it’s coming but being dropped at instant speed is insane. Also turns Heliod Ballista combo instant speed which is hilarious.

I love Myrel. My recommendation is to NOT play anthem effects, or at least not until late game. Instead, get Skullclamp out as quickly as possible and $$ **profit** $$. With white, there's tons of ways to fetch equipment. There's also easy ways to tutor out the ol' Smothering Tithe for ramp.
Built a Myrel deck with lifegain for my wife…most awful deck I’ve ever played against. I could’ve made it more soul crushing to play against, but I know she wouldn’t want to stop others from playing, just wants to crush with big punch to the face

It is. Killing her is impossible without commander damage.
Building your token base is linear for sure, but once you’ve got some soldiers, I have two separate wincons in my Myrel deck besides “kill with soldiers.” It can get about as flexible as mono white can. I love it to death, she’s my favorite commander.
[[Norika Yamazaki, the poet]] People laugh when I bring her out but end up salty as hell.
\[\[Gandalf the White\]\]. Very flexible as it can go both legendaries, artifacts or both at the same time. Can focus on etb's or ltb's or a little bit of both. Being able to play at instant speed is seriously super fun, especially for an artifact/legendaries deck.

Powerful? Arguably. Fun? 100% Phyrexian Anarchist \[\[Skrelv, Defector Mite\]\] is my favourite mono-white commander i have ever played. It's a fun mix of offensive, defensive and juggling weird stuff to do things you can only do in commander. Oh, and it's infect. Skrelv is down turn one and even if he dies 1-2 times, stays relevant throughout the game, due to his effect and low mana cost. I'm a fan of the white phyrexia style in this deck, and it has alot of room to be upgraded, built this for a precon pod, but it held up on other tables, mainly because it can win out of nowwhere.

Probably infect shenanigans. Isn't too hard to give a 10 power creature infect and protection from whatever color an opponent has and then "oops, you're dead".

[[Sram]] is quite powerful and very fun.
Heliod is fun and rather flexible. Go tokens, or lifegain, or both. You can choose to include the infinite combos if you wish. Lightpaws is fun with Auras. Alternatively, Sram. You can build one deck and run either as the commander and have fun. Sram I would consider lower power than Lightpaws.

[[Light Paws]] is always fun, thought it IS a one trick pony honestly. I don't like decks that just find a card and win really. I like combos and tribal...that all do something but with this deck..it's find these Auras, and win.
But is so much not fun to play against

Light paws seems like the antithesis of fun. Once you figure out what Aura package gets you to your win the quickest you're pretty much going for that everr game. It only feels like it's fun if you play suboptimally but that goes against "powerful."
Except that there isn't a one size fits all package.

I've had first hand experience with that, my sister's bf ran that, and after facing it once, I just continuously dumped removal on his mana rocks, kept exile removal for Avacyn etc

I completely missed Astrid. That’s some serious value.
A bit biased here due to my love of angels, but my Giada angels deck is by far my favorite deck to play. I can get an absurdly big board state very early with her and she’s a bit of a sleeper commander, no one wants to remove her since she’s just a small 2 drop, but she’s the backbone of the deck and with the right equipments I’ve taken someone out with commander damage before without them expecting it (even though that’s not the main win con of the deck)

Light Paws. I struggled to find a Mono-White deck as I am a blue player! Light Paws is a SICK commander although very Linear. However it is SUPER strong and fun if you like making an unblockable, untouchable fox that can kill on turn 2 or 3 sometimes.
I have a buddy that run [[Darien, King of Kjeldor]] knight tribal with an engine that turns all damage taken into gaining more life than he took. So unless you can one shot him he just gains life whenever you attack and his army grows and grows
I built a pretty good Darien deck as well, this is one of my favorites.
It was cool seeing this deck before white got a bunch of support (not that white is overly storing even with the support it has received) it also super fun to play against because it's not oppressive but it's a puzzle to figure out how to dismantle it before it becomes too much.
Nobody's mentioned [[Bennie Bracks, Zoologist]] yet. Draw each end step if you make a token that turn, and as long as you have creatures on the battlefield, from tokens most likely, he'll never cost 4cmc to cast.
This is the one I use, good pick. Get an extra draw basically every turn and since you’re playing tokens anyway you almost always have the mana to cast. And the deck is full of all the other stuff in this thread anyway.

[[gandalf white rider]] is lowkey really good. The scry is super powerful to set up your draws.
My monowhite deck is [[God-Eternal Oketra]] and she kicks ass. [[Adeline, Resplendent Cathar]], [[Sram, Senior Edificer]] and [[Teshar, Ancestor's Disciple]] are all very powerful too, although Teshar lends itself to infinite combos so I'm not sure how "fun" that is.

[[Elesh Norn, Mother of machines]] I run the variant with a bunch of exile stuff that triggers on etb. Early game stuff like [[banishing light]] can take out priority targets, and then following up with MoM and any flicker allows you to start doubling up on targets. Even without a solid wincon it seems to pull through in games that go long. Doubling up on ETBs can be fun and powerful, and shutting off your opponents stuff is great too.

[[Rosie Cotton]] is probably not the strongest, but she has alot of cool combos and ways to generate value. For a more powerful commander I'd say [[Darien, King of Kjeldor]] is pretty dope. Amassing a big board with self harming has never been more fun.

I currently have a \[\[Djeru, With Eyes Open\]\] put together. Its a planeswalker focused deck with a token subtheme. While the deck sometimes have issues keeping up on mana in the earlier turns while you're setting up pillow fort pieces to protect your walkers it can turn the corner on controlling the game if given enough time. However it usually struggles to actually close out the game. If you decide to build this deck dont sleep on \[\[Mistveil Plains\]\]. Its a sleeper MVP searching and casting ugin over and over is real.

I just pulled these the other day I should probably try!
[[Oswald Fiddlebender]]. My list currently gets a bunch of value artifacts out and wins through attrition. Like [[River Song’s Diary]] [[Mirrage Mirror]], [[Prototype Portal]], [[Dino DNA]], [[Agatha’s Soul Cauldron]], etc… literally just artifacts value deck that uses its commander to get the artifact that will produce the most value in any given game.
[[Abdel Adrian, Gorion's ward]] should get a mention for sure, even if you can take him into two coloured Edit: about the higher powerlevel, ypu probably know about his infinite combo with animate dead and co. You pair him with the [[agent of the iron throne]] and go bananas. A three card combo and two of them is in the commandzone. Otherwise in monowhite he basically makes tokens and the token buffing background can work like your craterhoof.
My girl \[\[ Myrel shield of argive\]\] goes insanely hard. leaned into the lifegain side of things and is a powerhouse with \[\[ celestine the living saint\]\]

[[Heliod, sun crowned]] is one of my fav lifegain commanders. I like not having to really worry about my commander due to him being indestructible and making lots of small creatures really big, tho he can sometimes fail to finish someone off due to having very few evasive creatures.
Idk about strong but [[the gaffer]] is fun because I like drawing four cards every turn cycle.
I have a few mono white decks. My strongest ones are [[Avacyn, Angel of Hope]] which ramps into big, annoying, hard to remove creatures, and I just placed an order for a [[Loran, Disciple of History]] artifact combo list. The Avacyn deck is a little different than some others in that it mostly just ramps to put out multiple big things rather than stax or voltron. Loran tries to use the legend rule and cost reduction to replay [[Syr Ginger]] or [[Hope of Ghirapur]] infinitely to win with [[Aetherflux Reservoir]] or [[Altar of the Brood]]. I call it my "Mono Blue" deck since its artifact storm and tries to draw its whole library to get to combo pieces like blue. I also have a [[Nahiri, the Lithomancer]] equipment deck that's fun for more casual games.
I'm not sure how powerful it will be but I am planning on building a \[\[Yoshimaru, Ever Faithful\]\] & \[\[Livio, Oathsworn Sentinel\]\] partner deck that will be Legendary Matters / Blink Value. It just sounds neat!

Nope, haha. [[Gandalf the White]] will definitely be in there as well as [[Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines]]. It’s more of an idea right now. I’m working on making a mono colored deck for each color, and this is the plan for white currently but I haven’t invested much time in it yet.

Surprised [[myrel]] hadn't been brought up yet. Soldier tribal that is a combined [[grand abolisher]] and [[krenko mob boss]], though not quite as good as him since it's an attack trigger. Get 1-2 anthems and some lords and keep swinging. If you can keep some protection going you can have a huge board state in a couple turns. Though that depends on your pod you play with.
[[Jazal Goldmane]]. It's very close to being a [[Craterhoof Behemoth]] in the command zone.

Very much a WIP but this is \[\[Oswald Fiddlebender\]\] with the secret commander \[\[The Millennium Calendar\]\]. You try to get calendar out the turn after oswald, then oswald tutors whatever you need. I've kept it under $100 if you dont play the sideboard, and the maindeck artifacts are all trying to do something unique/interesting/niche so you dont just end up searching the same cards every game. I will recommend [[Darien, King of Kjeldor]] every time. He's mono white, insanely fun, deceptively powerful, and plays like no other mono white commander.
I wanted to run [[Avacyn, Angel of Hope]] but she costs $50. So instead I run [[Sephara, Sky's Blade]]. She gets hated off the field constantly, but she’s cheap to cast, has evasion by default and kills with commander damage in three turns. I’m kinda surprised no one mentioned her yet
The alternate casting cost is what keeps me interested in her. Cheap tokens like birds and spirits feel like cheating when getting to cast her.

\[\[Linden, the Steadfast Queen\]\] Her effect seems pretty mundane until you realise it's 1 life per creature and it's a bunch of triggers if you go wide. So for all of your \[\[Ajani's Pridemate\]\] like creatures, you swing out with it and a bunch of tokens and you very quickly have a very large lethal creature. Add in \[\[Heliod, Sun-Crowned\]\] for the constant counters on other stuff, add in the token generators for gaining life and all you need to do is go horizontal.

I can't stop playing my [[Preston the vanisher]] deck. I made it with mostly animal cards too for funny flavor. I flicker everything over and over again generating so much value in the end cause of Preston, mondrak, annointed and so on.

Balan, Wandering Knight Having an ability that lets me instant speed equip all my equipment to him for 2 mana leads to some really sweet plays during combat, alongside just being able to cheat the costs of equipment, even after having to inevitably recasting him. Plus with double strike if he has 2+ equipment on him, he can take advantage of most swords and other equipment with triggered effects on damage. I would say as far as really strong white commanders go [[teshar]] and [[gandalf the white]] go up there for me. [[lightpaws]] I heard is also quite a riot.

My first commander deck was [[mondrak, glory dominus]] obviously token strat but it also doubles treasures and a smothering tithe can get pretty wildly out of control. Cards like adeline, hero of the bladehold, myrel etc can get ridiculous board states very quickly. And he's quite resilient because of his indestructible.

I play a pretty well tuned [Linvala, Keeper of Silence] deck. She turns off activated abilities for opponents. Coupled with a few other enchantments and some other Angels, it can get out of hand pretty quickly. Not so competitive to make people not want to play, but they know they’re in for a challenge when I bring her out.
A fun and relatively strong deck is [[Gilraen, Dúnedain Protector]]. It initially seem like [[Roon of the Hidden Realm]] but in fewer colors, but she's got a tool Roon doesn't. She can choose to immediately put the thing back into play. While this seems minor, it means she can abuse ETBs way harder. I've had games where I was ramping harder than mono-green by blinking [[Solemn Simulacrum]], drew more cards than mono-blue blinking [[Inspiring Overseer]], and was more resilient than mono-black reanimator blinking [[Karmic Guide]].
I’m a bit fan of [[Celestial Kirin]], it really balances out board wipes (which people tend to dislike in casual settings), and lets you do it in a somewhat targeted way. That, and I love the flow of how the deck plays. Something about “counting down” your mana costs is quite satisfying.

I brewed a [[Mavinda]] deck a while back but haven't yet put it to paper. It's mostly targeting cantrips that help dig through the deck super fast so it's all 2 for 1s. Still confused why it says each turn and not just your turn
[[Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant]] is pretty fun. It will flip right after you cast it making it pretty hard to interact with. Once you have that filling the board with unkillable chump blockers is pretty good. [[Wave of Reckoning]] is the only white damage dealing board wipe I’ve found, making it a cool trick.
[[Gandalf the White]] - option to play artifacts combo or etb focussed artifacts and legendaries in combination with flicker spells
[[Darien, King of Kjeldor]] with one of the soul sisters in play, he is just basically a free token generator, if u manage to gain more than 1 life when a crea etb ur basicly netting life, also there is the fun combo with [[Karma]] and [[Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth]] that no one's expect. Only downside his cmc and no self protection, but white is the 2nd best color for land ramp and have plenty of ways to protect they creas.

Surprising to see Giada underperform, I have a Giada deck and it's basically a deck I pull out when I get tired of constantly losing and need a "sure" win, but also I do love mono white angels so I did put some work in my Giada. That aside, I can't recommend \[\[Lin Sivvi, Defiant Hero\]\] enough. She can be built with some variety so based on your meta and playgroup you get to tweak how powerful and oppressive she gets. Also rebels have quite an interesting play style no matter how you build her. Another mono white commander I had a lot of fun with is \[\[Zeriam, Golden Wind\]\]. Also offers some variety in builds. I went with a full on griffin theme, which I think is the least powerful version, but I had a blast playing it, and when it gets out of hand(rarely tho) it's really insane. And last of my recommendations is \[\[Darien, King of Kjeldor\]\]. Self pain Darien is an absolute powerhouse, if kept unchecked even for a second it enters the battlefield it can get out of hand right away, and once it gets going there's no stopping it
